What a fantastic ER and hospital!!! I was incredibly sick with COVID, got taken to Good Sam ER in Puyallup where they were so overrun they were treating people in the corridors. I desperately needed oxygen and water but was there waiting with nothing for 7h with no end in site of when I would get a bed. I also found a lot of staff so overworked they have lost sight of the care part of the job and dont talk to you very nicely. My boyfriend came and got me out of there and took me to St Elizabeth who had told him they had a bed and could put me on oxygen immediately. Well that place and team was the reason am here now! Every single staff member was caring and fantastic! The doctors put me on a protocol which turned me around back to health in 4 days. The food was all healthy and fresh for whenever you needed it. Lots of smiles and positive energy! No one wants to be in hospital but this team made the absolute best of it for you. I will never go to any other ER.

The technician was great at communicating with me what was happening during the MRI.What bothered me, due to my back...thats why I was there...MRI for my back. When I asked for help to sit up, she said she has a bad back too. She reluctantly helped me finally to get up. If not able to assist a patient to sit up, she should have had someone there to assist a patient.

I’m giving St Elizabeth 4 stars mainly because I had a knee replacement on 7/7/21 my stay was only 1 day but I waited several times an hour to an hour and a half past the time the nurse told me she’d be back in to give me pain meds, ( I would have to call and ask for pain meds) making my pain go to a 9-10 and then at night I waited about 10-15 minutes for a nurse to come an assist me to the bathroom causing me to not make it once... embarrassing. I do know nurses get busy so I’m not trying to be too harsh. I would love to add.. the Hostpital personal should show you how to lift leg with your other leg what a game changer, after my first PT visit. But other than that the ER Team and Recovery room were Amazing! Huge thanks to All!!

The echocardiogram tech was AWESOME!! I was extremely nervous to have this appointment. From the moment she opened the door to call my name she made me feel comfortable. She talked to me during the entire test which made it to go extremely fast and it was done before I even had the chance to be uncomfortable or nervous. I truly wish all doctors and or techs were as amazing as she is. Also The woman who checked me in upstairs was super friendly and made me feel at ease as well. Both of these women should get raises and if it was up to me they would be getting one. I have been to that hospital many times and yesterday was the most pleasant experience I’ve had any time in that hospital or any other doctors office or hospital for that matter. THANK YOU For treating me like a human, treating me like an equal and for the compassion. Many blessings

This hospital is amazing! I was so surprised when I walked in the door. It’s small enough to not get lost or confused on where to go. Check in is on the upper level and then you go find the department your to be there for. Everyone involved was amazing except for when I was given the anesthesia, there were a few people adjusting me here and there and then all of a sudden, I was being given the “juice” and being told they’ll see me after. I wish there was a bit more heads up or a conversation before I’m surprised to start tasting and feeling a bit weird. But that’s small compared to the big picture. I wasn’t rushed out afterwards so there was no anxiety from start to finish.

A bit confusing direction when coming in. I was told to fill out the form at reception and leave it there and the receptionist would pick it up. I did so, but she didnt pick it up. Another patient came in ripped my form off the pad and put it to the side. The receptionist then took his form and left mine there. He was called back before me as I had to get up and hand it to the receptionist. This is not a huge deal. Directions need to be more clear especially when people dont go in every day and know the routine. Things during this pandemic have changed so being clear is vital.

The facility is nice and clean. The only issue I had was with the person out front. I was going in for a ultrasound on my baby. I brought my son along and I was told he was not allowed to enter. She also said if you come back without him I assume you just left him in the car. His father lives a block away so I took him there and was back within the time she assumed I would be a poor parent. My ultrasound went fine just wish he was there to see as he is very excited to be a big brother. After my ultrasound I brought it up to the ultrasound tech and I was allowed to have one guest. It was upsetting that my son missed out on this bonding moment with me and are little growing family member.

St Elizabeth hospital was so compassionate. Our young three year old had two procedures performed, they had a stuffed animal waiting with a bandage on it for him on the hospital bed, every single nurse, the anesthesiologist, the intake for forms, everyone was so incredibly nice and helpful. I was told by my Dr. To go there and I called before I went. I have had covid twice and Im still feeling bad after a month. I didnt appreciate being treated like I was just some weirdo making things up. They told me I wasted thier time. I have trouble breathing when I am active, my sinuses still hurt, Ive lost 7 pounds in the last 3 and a half weeks because I feel sick when I eat and my heart randomly feels like its beating out of my chest. Again, I was told to go there but trust me...I wont waste my time again. I would rather suffer a long horrible agonizing death then feel wrong for taking care of myself.

Dr Ryan Harris is absolutely terrible. My fiance has unfortunately had to see him twice now, and both times he was completely unprofessional and had terrible bedside manner. Most recently, she went in after having cold/flu like symptoms for over 3 weeks, and his direction (after running absolutely ZERO tests) was to keep doing what shes doing. I should clarify that she is only taking OTC medications for her sickness at this point...Inevitably, if there is truly an emergency we may end up here again due to where we live, but we will try to avoid this hospital at all costs due to Dr Ryan Harris incompetence and unprofessionalism.

My experience started in an ambulance and Shawn was my nurse. I would absolutely give those guys 5 stars. However, once I arrived at the hospital that was another story. My nurse was Anna (who is a traveling nurse) and she was quick, kind and through. Kelly was my ultra sound tech, also VERY sweet, through and had wonderful bedside manner. Then I saw Dr. Harris. This is where I would give the stars a ONE. He kept a constant smirk on his face as if he was about to laugh at any moment as I explained my symptoms. He had zero bed side manner and he was more engaged in training the 2 students shadowing him then talking me threw what was happening. When he did get around to answering my questions, he did it with annoyance. He spoke as though I should already know the answers to my own questions and then he told me there was no way I had an allergy to steroid drugs even though it is on my allergy list. He sent me home with out any answers of what to do. I turns out I had an ovarian cyst burst. I felt as though their thoughts were, I was a drug seeker.. period! Nothing feels worse than your own doctor treating you as a burden. So I felt I needed to write about my experience so, anyone else who may get this feeling here. Know you are not alone.

Unfortunately I have had to use this hospital many times over the past few years for different issues as well as standard screenings. They have always been very competent and professional. Both the ER and scheduled areas of the hospital have knowledgeable staff as well as Doctors. I do know when there are student following doctors its a little Clinical but teaching the incoming is a necessary job.My 20+ visits over 4+ years may be different than others but I have yet to have a complaint with any of the services or personal of this hospital. AS I stated it is Unfortunate that I have had to visit here this often but I have seen a lot of hospitals and this one has been one of the better in the area as well as one of the cleanest and most organized I have seen.I know you can always get a Dr or Staff that is having a bad day or that you just do not get along with, but I have yet to see this here.

Treatment and care is reasonable. However, get ready for the most absurd setup from a billing perspective. The hospital basically outsources doctors, nurses and lab. So, if you require 2 doctors, a nurse and xrays, you will likely see 4 different bills over and above the charge for your emergency visit. For some reason, the hospital has zero ability to track any of the extra charges. And, you are sent on a wild goose chase to figure who is trying to collect from you. They are also incapable of using a phone when billing doesnt work. We received no bills, no phone calls to indicate any collection was required. To put things in perspective: This would be like going to a mechanic shop and having the mechanic, front desk clerk, and detail person, bill you separate for service. And, having no idea who is owed what. This exemplifies the patient best interest and medical billing gone wrong..

Went to the ER with a severely cut finger and I had to REPEATEDLY instruct the doctor in training on what to do, what not to do, had to reiterate the instructions of the doctor in charge to her as she attempted numerous times in numerous ways to do things completely contrary to , or failing to involve how/what she was instructed not 10 minutes before, beyond belief !!!Dont you think maybe you aught to ....... Or dont you think it would be better if you .... seemed as though it was the beginning of almost every sentence out of my mouth during the process of having my finger stitched back up , and nearly all of my input was recognized as being valid, appropriate, better Etc. Thats about the only positive thing I can say, given the dismissive, condescending arrogance so prevalent in that field of work, I guess I have to consider that to be a positive. Unfortunately very few people have both the competency & the courage to speak up to make sure they get the care they should. If I had not had both my finger would have had to been unsewn , reopened and redone.

My husband developed sepsis after he had a surgical procedure at another hospital. The care he received at St. Elizabeth was some of the best care were have ever received at any hospital weve had to visit in past years. We recently moved to Buckley area and I was opposed to ANY Multicare facility so was looking for nearby hospital. Praise YHVH for St. Elizabeth hospital and ER services. Prior to this hospitalization he had been to ER twice, treated promptly, respectfully and with such care from EVERY SINGLE TEAM MEMBER. We were happy with the doctors extraordinary care, patience and professionalism. They also added some humor at times which helped me to relax and realize that they understood the seriousness of sepsis and they really worked fast with running various tests etc. This was simply amazing to me how much they all seemed to care. I was unable to stay in the room with my husband, yet felt very reassured that he was getting optimal care. I called each morning around 4:30 AM and the nurses that spoke with me gave me accurate information on how he did overnight, answered every single question and I was never made to feel like I was bothering anyone or asking ignorant questions. I want to shout out to all the ER staff, doctors, nurses, phlebotomists, anyone and everyone who took such great care. THANK YOU! My husband is alive and doing much better.
