Dr. Schwappach and his staff are phenomenal. I was injured the day before a long holiday weekend, as I started looking for an orthopedic surgeon, Dr Schwappach and his staff were responsive and kind. The office staff got me in on the same day that I called, ensured that I had follow up X-rays of my injury and were even able to get me into surgery within 48 hours of my office visit. My surgery experience was amazing, and I cannot express how grateful I am for finding this team. This is the orthopedic surgeon that I will continue to use and recommend.

Dr. Schwappach is the only doctor that my husband has had over the last 7 years for all of his knee surgery. Unfortunately, for the kind of work my husband does he has been seeing Dr. Schwappach on many occasions for his work related injury for his knee.Dr. Schwappach is a professional who is knowledgeable and very quick, efficient but also very patient and cares a lot. For the 3rd time coming in to have him do surgery for my husbands knee, it has been the most easiest experience and very reassuring that everything will be done safely but quickly. Its always hard having to wait in the lobby for your family member while they undergo anesthesia for their surgery. However, It makes it easier, bearable and very reassuring when Dr. Schwappach comes out to the lobby as soon as hes done with surgery to let you know how it went. A year and a half ago on a Sunday in January, I was playing football in the park with some friends and severed my Achilles tendon. Went to the ER at Porter and fortunately Dr. Schwappach was on call that day. He reviewed my MRI, set up an appointment for the next day (Monday) and did surgery on Wednesday morning. The follow-up care and consultations were exceptional! I followed his directions and was back at the gym in 6 months and on the mountain at Vail by December. I couldnt be more impressed with his ability and professionalism. Additionally, each time I was in for an office visit, the staff were friendly and always courteous. I hope I never have to use his services again, but if I do, I wont hesitate to say Yes.

Ive had 2 great experiences with Dr. Schwappach. 6 months ago he successfully completed a complicated elbow surgery on my son. Son is doing great today.This week, the Dr. performed knee surgery on my wife. Another job well done. Sincere gratitude to Dr. Schwappach.

My wife recently had a total knee replacement. Exceptional service from the first phone call to schedule an appointment and all the way through post-op. Theyve been there every step of the way to answer questions and provide support.

I had a knee In November 1 2018 and hip in February 2019 .If it wasn’t for him, I couldn’t walk today.He was there all the way with my replacements. Irecently move to okla.Nothing compares to him.I will go back to him for any other replacements..

We saw Dr. Schwappach yesterday for a consult following a car accident and he was excellent. He was professional, followed HIPAA guidelines in requesting consent to discuss my sons situation with us, was concise and thoughtful, and despite being in the middle of rounds - i.e. not having a lot of time - thorough in his analysis and time spent discussing the injury and the prognosis. More importantly, our doctor friends who are in the community, highly recommend this practice for being the best.

Do NOT have Dr. John Schwappach do ANY...ANY surgeries on you. Get a second opinion first. Dr. John Schwappach was trying to force surgery. Dr. John Schwappach is extremely arrogant and very rude. I did NOT have surgery as Dr. John Schwappach was trying to force. Instead I got a second opinion right down the street from Dr. Schwappach, and it is a good thing I did. The second ortho doctor said no surgery is needed, and if you had surgery, there is a good chance you would not be able to walk again. I continued seeing the second ortho doctor, and I never did have surgery, and my leg is just fine...I walk and run without any problems. If I could, I would give a negative rating. Worst doctor I have ever been too....hands down!!!! Run far away from this doctor and go elsewhere. You will be SO glad that you did.

He chose to girdle my hip which totally destroyed my ability to walk for 3 years until I got another ortho surgeon who is quite knowledgeable and had me walking again. Find an expert ortho surgeon, not this one.

Worst MD experience in quite some time, possibly ever. Do yourself a favor and pick another Ortho!

Worst doctor ever been to. Rude arrogant. Lied on paperwork about what he did. Wouldnt let operate on me if you paid me.
