The process of receiving the proper diagnosis of and getting the correct treatment for sleep apnea can be difficult. My husband has sleep apnea and the process from his doctors office visit to get a referral for the sleep clinic to where we are now which is getting the correct equipment and supplies has taken several months. In short, this process is daunting and frustrating. The last couple of weeks we have been back and forth with Advantage Medical which is the parent company of Bennett and in short, the customer service aspect of call intake, retrieving information, and promptness are all severely lacking. Every time my husband and/or myself have called the customer service line we have sat on hold for 30+ minutes, ever single time. We are very rural and for us, Bennett Medical is the only company locally who accepts are insurance so our options are limited. I went into the local office here in Elko NV this morning and I was greeted by Jody who is the sole reason I am giving Bennett medical a 5 star rating. Jody greeted me warmly and asked how I was doing. I am not sure if it was the look on my face or perhaps the pure frustration in my eyes from sitting on hold for the entire 30 minutes prior to walking into the office and still not being able to speak with someone but she stopped what she was doing and genuinely asked how is everything? I proceeded to tell her about my several weeks of built up frustration over the lack of information and especially the extremely long wait times when calling in to speak with anyone. She was swift with her response, offering a quick remedy for the situation and whole heartedly apologizing for all of the issues. Her response was not only genuine but informative and her recognition of our circumstances and the situation was hands down exceptional.
