Dr. Simon came recommended by our pediatrician (of sixteen years) who was retiring. Im so glad we took our pediatricians recommendation. Dr. Simon and all of his staff having always been professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Dr. Simon spends a lot of time with his patients and ensures he understands all issues before making decisions. So grateful to have this great doctor in Elko!

Dr. Simon is a very thorough, very caring doctor. He has helped my large family through many medical challenges and we respect him a great deal.

Staff is very friendly and helpful but I cant say the same for the doctor.

Needed my son to have a well child check and relieve his flu vaccine. Dr. Simon was able to get us in the same day which is awesome. His nurse was amazing and I did really like Dr. Simon. He made my son feel comfortable and as a mom that is the most important thing.

Had been seeing Dr. Simon for years until I moved. My experience with him is that he is very professional. He takes his time to check everything and explains to great detail. I learned more with home than I ever have with any other doctor. I was so fortunate that I would be able to see him quickly whenever I need his help. He has always been warm and thoughtful.

Dr. Simon has been my doctor for years. Great care provided, staff is friendly, clean environment and he cares about finding out what the issues are, doesnt just throw medicine at you you until one works.

In my family’s experience, Dr. Simon is the most unhelpful doctor I have ever met. Living in a small town with medical professionals who don’t think outside the box is difficult, which is why the majority of people in this town go out of town for appointments. My wife is pregnant and I want to be able to breastfeed the baby as well. We knew this was a possibility but didn’t know where to start. Therefore, we connected with the lactation nurse at the hospital, who is amazing. She has spent a ton of her time figuring out how we can be able to do that. The process requires me to talk birth control, which has to be prescribed by a doctor. My doctor was Simon, so I made an appointment making it very clear this was time sensitive. The nurse sent Simon all the information about lactation for non-pregnant mothers. He refused the information from her because (his words) 1. She is not a doctor and 2. He doesn’t do that stuff. He made me wait two weeks for my appointment to tell me he reuses to help my wife and I because he doesn’t do that sort of stuff. He kept saying he wasn’t an expert in that topic. I am really unsure of what he is an “expert” at to be honest. I made the comment that no one in Elko is an expert at this, but can’t we all come together and figure it out? Nursing a baby is a natural thing, not a life or death situation. He continued to waste my time, pretending to “read up” on it when in reality he wasn’t going to help me. His response of “I don’t do that” was really “I don’t help gay couples in trying to both feed their baby.” I was so upset that he chose to waste my time in this situation when I made it VERY clear it was a time sensitive situation and to let me know beforehand if he would refuse me. (I felt he would because of how he has treated others I know, telling them they can’t do certain things because they aren’t married.) They assured me it would be no big deal. The second he walked through the door he started backpedaling and refusing to help me in any way. When my wife went in the next day to discuss the awful appointment, the employees all tried to pretend it was about something else. Lying to get out of being called out on how disgraceful that office is? Not ok!I am disgusted that someone with such power to help people, refuses to do so because of their sexual orientation. I am furious that he chose to waste my time and try to come between me feeding my child. I am ashamed to have doctors like Simon in this community. This is why we go out of town. This is why people don’t feel safe. How can this bigotry be overlooked? Simon is a disgusting “doctor” and helping people is NOT his priority.

I recieved a physical here for my life insurane policy. The staff here was great and I really appreciated their service. However Ive never interacted with a provider with such a poor demeanor. Figured this interaction would allow me a chance to test the waters for finding a good primary care physician for my family. Boy was I wrong definitely gonna have to look elsewhere.
