Our super special boy, Louie, was bit by a rattle snake while out scouting for deer. Originally, there was no answer when I called the emergency line but they did contact me back in a short amount of time. I feel like Louie received great care during his stay and Dr. White (we think that was his name) was super caring and clear with expectations on next steps for us. Dee was our favorite though, she was so compassionate and even helped our little kiddo find comfort in a scary situation. He has to come back for laser treatment and if I have one complaint about EVC, it would be the wait time for regular appointments. I waited 50 minutes today and then when I asked how much longer it would be the girl (Andrea) was so incredibly rude to me that I left and decided I would take my dog elsewhere. After talking to someone (Prisilla) after that on the phone who was very empathetic and professional, we did come back and (once again) dealt with Dee, who turned the experience around. If it was not for Dee and Prisilla today I would likely never come back again. Totally understand the hardships of business right now with curbside vet care and being short staffed due to COVID, but don’t take that out on the people bringing you the business. At the end of the day, EVC is a place I will continue to take my animals too because they provided us with tip-top care and we trust their abilities. THANK YOU!

Elko Veterinary Clinic has been nothing short of wonderful in taking care of our cat, Doc. They were upfront and honest about cost and treatment and have answered my phone calls asking for updates and not once seem annoyed or bothered. We were not clients previously and they still took Doc in on an emergency. The Vet treating Doc was understanding and kind when I was a mess about things and really upset. The staff has been fantastic and we will now be permanently switching vet care to their facility.

Ive been to this vet for multiple cats, and every time I have been blown away by the level of care I have received. Everyone here is so passionate about what they do, and is dedicated to providing the best care possible. I feel blessed to have such an amazing vet so close by!

This office is straight up trash. Want to drop your dog off for boarding? Be prepared to wait an hour. Want to pick them up? Be prepared to wait a literal hour. On time for your appointment? Be prepared to WAIT. The vets seem ok, Dr. Warner is extremely lacking in communication and is pretty condescending. Who knows if they are even decent at what they do- we see a different doctor almost every time. This last boarding visit will be my last business with Elko Vet- dropped off my perfectly unharmed dog only to be called the next day saying he needs sutures and they “don’t know what happened” and tried to insinuate we let our family pet get in dog fights. Complete lack of professionalism.

Very professional and caring. Moved here 90 days ago and was concerned about replacing the current Vet in Reno. Was with them for 4 years. After a couple of visits to EVC my concerns were dismissed.

As a first time puppy owner I was very nervous with my lack of knowledge about what is a standard vet visit. The staff was very patient and friendly, they helped easy my anxiety and talked me through everything. They kindly directed me and showed only respect as I navigated the office. My puppy was nervous but not scared and everyone helped to keep him at ease. Overall, I was pleased with my experience. I’m grateful for competent staff in a workplace where many can feel very vulnerable.

Outstanding and exemplary care for our Scottish Terrier when we left her for boarding. Kiawnni was amazing and so attentive to our pets needs and emotions during her boarding experience. The entire team is fabulous, knowledgeable and professional down to the smallest detail. Dr. Cuthbertson overcame our terriers anxiety right away when she was there for her first visit and she was very relaxed and agreeable with him. Weve always used them for our pets. The wait times can get a little frustrating if you have a busy schedule but they always are great with the animals. I dont think I could take my crew anywhere else

We found Elko Veterinary Clinic when one of our little dogs had a medical emergency while traveling through from Montana. We were so impressed with the facilities and extremely impressed with the staff. We think 812 miles one way is a small price to pay for excellence. We intend to use Elko Clinic as our main veterinarian services for our little dogs and gladly drive the distance.

Dr Perchetti has been our vet for 25 years. I like consistency. The facility is great! Its the only place I go.

The facility appears nice, but as multiple other reviews state.. the office staff are rude and disinterested. Their services are incredibly overpriced, especially the medications. You are a meal ticket and your pet is a number, not a patient. I will never return and would not recommend.

My daughter lost her dog, he was only two years old. He needed emergency vet attention, it was in the night she called them with no answer or no call back from the next day in which they were open!. They even gave her someone else medication, but then told her that it still was the right medication. Dont call them for no emergency.

I took my dog in with a concern of a growth on his side and Dr. Warner took care of the growth and felt his tummy and found a bigger tumor on my dogs spleen. He took my dog right into surgery and would call me to keep me updated on his condition and even stayed late into the night to keep an eye on him and to update me. The vet techs also were amazing at calling me and explaining everything in depth and made me feel as if my dog was the only one they were watching. I have had plenty more great experiences with them but this one needed to be shared.

Elko Vet is very sensitive with my concerns and shows compassion to my feelings. I love my animals like my kids. They take great care of my animals. Very happy with them. Vet Mike Perchetti is a Super Veternarian and I would not have anyone else take care of them. Elko Vet is the best.

This is by far the worst vet clinic I’ve been to. Service was terrible all around. Assistants did not listen to my pets needs and both times left there scared and anxious. Wait times are also ridiculously long, will not come back and definitely do not recommend.

Staff is always friendly and helpful.Primary reason why I come back is the Doctor has done many surgeries on my dogs over the years.He takes the time to explain procedure and success. It feels like he is cares about the success of the operations as much as I do.

I’ve been using Elko Vet for our pets for over 10 years. They love our pets as much as us (probably more), and have never let us down. They are clear and up front about cost and options for treatment, and they always have my pets care at heart. I’ve also used their after-hours emergency care (the only one in town) and they were so thoughtful. The knowledge, experienced, and tools at Elko Vet makes them the best vet in town!

I just want to share our wonderful experience with Elko Vet. Over the weekend, our puppy started acting oddly - trembling, warm to the touch and was hiding. She’s normally a typical wild lab puppy so it was very out of character. At 9:30 pm we called the emergency number for Elko Vet. They got her right in, ran some tests and decided she should stay there overnight for observation. They called multiple times to keep us updated while she was there until 4:30 pm the next day. They were able to get her well enough to go home with some meds. Today, 3 days later, she is back to her normal self and healthy! A HUGE thank you to Elko Vet, the staff and especially Dr. Warner. We are so relieved she is well and that we have such a great vet team in Elko.

I would totally recommend these guys. My fur baby is the most important and I would have to say excellent customer service from both sides the front desk and the vet tech. The doctor hooked her up and Im so excited to say I many have paid 167 bucks but it was worth every penny for the service I got ❤

We have a history of this place. We took our pup here awhile ago because she had parvo, they did save her. And they did amazing!! And now our little 3 month old pup had a run in with another dog on a weekend when they where closed, took us a second to get to them but they took her. And she’s doing so much better now. Thank you so much!!

Yesterday we had a terrifying emergency with our family cat and the staff here were incredible! They walked us through steps at home while we were making preparations to get him to their office. Even through the COVID restrictions they were quick acting and very caring! Even better, when we received the charges we were shocked to see how affordable the bill was! We were expecting to pay at least $300-400 for the emergency visit, all day observation, and medication. The total cost was just over $100! Absolutely the best people! Would recommend this vet to anyone!

From dogs to cats to horses, Elko vet has always taken extremely good care of our animals. From the vets to the staff, everyone is always Pleasant and helpful whether it is for regular shots or something much more serious.

We had an emergency on Labor Day Weekend and were thrilled to find the Elko Veterinary Clinic open! We were able to walk in, and our dog was taken care of in a timely manner. The staff was friendly and caring. It was well worth the 80 mile drive we made to get to an open vet. Our dog received excellent care and has made a full recovery!

My family have been taking our beloved 4-legged family members to Elko Vet Clinic for 12 years now. We absolutely love the doctors here and all of their fantastic staff! They are professional, but also compassionate when situations warrant. The doctors listen to our needs and take time to treat our animals to the very best of their ability. You can be sure they will do the same for you and your 4-legged family.

Took my dog in to get blood work and tested and performed an unauthorized surgery on her an then continued to defend their shady business practices with a implied estimate that wasnt clear that made consent for them to perform surgery on. Then continued to cover their tracks in shady business tactics from probably practice at it. This business only cares about paychecks an not your family member.

I adopted a dog on Friday, and noticed she had an ear infection. Elko Vet is not our normal vet, but we were in town on business, and the staff managed to get us in Monday morning to get her ears checked. The whole staff was amazing, and made our new baby feel right at home! Everyone wanted to love on our new addition, and gave my new dog Shiloh excellent care. As a pet-parent, I appreciate how gentle and caring all of the staff were. From the receptionists, to the vet techs, to the Vet himself, everyone seemed to enjoy being with the animals there. This is a quality I look for with any vet that treats my babies. I read reviews beforehand, and got recommendations from the locals on what Vet to see. Elko Vet clinic did not disappoint. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff cant be beat. Excellent service and care.

Elko Vet has taken care of our Golden for the last four years when he was 8-12 years. He had to be euthanized after he went in for a quality of life check up and he had a big mass in his abdominal area, it was a fast and aggressive cancer. The whole office was very kind as we went through the procedure of letting our beloved Golden cross the Rainbow Bridge. While this is never easy, the staff were exceptional in this matter.

This vet clinic was authorized to only charge me for specific tests to check and see what was wrong with my pet. They called me and told me they did multiple tests on my animal without my permission and charged me for those tests. They then gave me meds for my pet that were $60 dollars when I could purchase the same dosage level and amount of pills from PetMeds.com for $32.00. They are over priced and cannot follow directions. Their only concern is charging as much as they can without authorization from the pet owner. I would avoid this clinic and go to another one.

My Rotti Zeus, just had his knee rebuilt. Dr. Cuthbertson and his staff did a fantastic job. Very professional. We have a 180 mile drive to get there and Zeus knows where he is going and enjoys to see these people. I have no doubt he is well taken care of. Its been 8 weeks he is doing great. We are very grateful for the entire staff of Elko Veterinary Clinic. I know Zeus is looking forward to another visit!

We were returning from a lengthy RV trip and on our last leg home with our 2 Portuguese Water Dogs. Somehow 2 raisin muffins magically disappeared off the counter. Not being sure which dog was the culprit, we brought both in to the clinic. The staff and the doc were friendly and professional, we were out in under 90 minutes after both dogs were treated (induced vomiting). Really reasonable fees, especially given the emergent nature of the visit. Highly recommend this clinic! Oh yeah, turned out to be the boy who coughed up the evidence!

Far exceeded my expectations! With their Caring and personalized service on a daily basis. They had my puppy for a few days and Sami and Lizzie were outstanding. From updates twice a day to texting me pics. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to care for our puppy!

Traveling thru so had to make an appointment on an urgent basis. This requires an additional $20 fee. Arrived for our appointment on time, vet was not available. Tech took our dog to the back room and returned advising us they’d keep him for the day and the Dr would look at him “sometime”. We said no. Tech looked at his foot and prescribed a Aloe ointment which cost nearly twice what it sells for on Amazon. We paid and left. Our bad. I just can’t recommend this place unless maybe you’re a local.

We had to put our bird dog to sleep. Elko vet made the sad time a little easier. They treated our dog with respect and even gave our dog her own little box with flowers so we could take her home to be buried. A few days later we received a special gift in the mail to help remember our dog Shottie.

Traveling on I-80 on our way back to the SF Bay Area, when problems arose. Half way between Well, NV and Elko with panic about to set in,I checked on line and found Elko Vet. Clinic with great reviews.Placed a call and mentioned the problems. Instructed to come in ASAP, which I did.We were greeted bu a caring and knowledgeable staff and after a short wait a complete exam and treatment were begun.I wont go into all the details but I will recommend Elko Vet. Clinic, to anyone who cares about their four legged buddy.I just wish to say HI and thank you.

Front office staff is RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! The young lady who clipped my dogs nails was very friendly and gentle with my dog. However, I will look for another vets office. Owner should really read these reviews if you plan to keep a business open. Your front office staff really does drive away clients.

I called this office as soon as they opened at 7am, as soon as they were done with their surgeries that day they made it down to take care of my horse that to put it simply, was having an anxiety attack. I was a new client just passing through their town and they made sure to take care of me. My boy was taking care of the best and easier way on him to finally get some relief and relax. I would not have traveled home safe if it wasn’t for these guys. All the staff I spoke to on the phone was awesome, super nice and acomidating. When the vet showed up she was kind, and also short, sweet and to the point. She knew what she was talking about and did what was best for my boy. The girl with her was also friendly and definitely knew how to handle a horse well. So happy with my experience here and wished I lived closer for such a great hospital to deal with and awesome vet. If how they spoke to me on the phone was any indicator of how they treat animals while in their care I will Not be going back. It’s already bad enough that they are the most expensive vet in elko, they don’t stick to their quoted price, but on top of that to not bathroom my dog while she was there all day. Not impressed, would not recommend.

Have never had a problem with Elko Vet till they brought in Dr Warner. I took my 2 dogs in for shots and my puppy was perfect but my 8 year old Shepherd husky mix was apparently too fat. Sad to say it’s all fur and muscle like every winter he bulks up in fur. We have a rigorous workout and he is fed a weight management food 2 cups a day served in the morning and he snacks all day, he doesn’t eat it all day. Also a healthy weight for a male shepherd is between 65 and 90 lbs. He is 85 in the winter and 65 to 70 in the spring and summer. I have never had a problem with Dr Sastacha and He loves her, He is timid around new people due to previous situations. I’m questioning on coming back.

Our experience was phenomenal! Dr Tess is the absolute best and we truly believe she saved our fur babys life. She came in at midnight on our emergency call as our Maizey Mae had been bitten by a rattlesnake! We were just sick when we arrived, but seeing Dr. Tess take charge & doing the absolute best for our baby gave us such reassurance. We are moving all our animals over to Elko Vet! Cant say enough about the Dr and service. Maizey Mae is back to her normal curious self. (uh oh!) Thanks again Tess!!

I am so thankful for this clinic and Shana in dentistry. August 6th my little 5.3 lb 12 year old Chihuahua/Pug mix Bugzy started bleeding out the nose and and had a hard time getting air. We rushed him to Elko veterinary where they placed him in the oxygen chamber and then evaluated him. Ran several tests. Labs came back great, heart looks and sounds great. They Evaluate his mouth discover pain and discomfort in a tooth and Shana (dentistry specialist)calls to say they want to X-ray and pull what may be abscess, and with X-rays will look at his sinus cavity. I said absolutely. I get a call later and they found 11 abscess teeth 2 of which were almost to the bone. Mind you we just moved here from CA. And Bugzy has had his teeth “cleaned” every year at Redding Veterinary Clinic in Redding, CA. that he has seen for 11 years. Not once did I EVER think that this Veterinary in Redding CA were NOT taking X-rays. The 11 years my dog went to Redding Veterinary Clinic They never once took one X-ray of my dogs mouth. These abscess were not “visible” and have been ongoing for a very long time and could have been found had they X-rayed Bugzys teeth. ELKO VETERINARY CLINIC SAVED MY DOGS LIFE ‼️infection was pressing into his sinuses causing bleeding. They did surgery on my dogs mouth removed 11 abscess teeth placed him on antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication. During dental surgery he was placed on IV fluids, wrapped in a thermal blanket to keep body temp normal as their body temp drops while under Anesthesia. This Veterinary Clinic May charge more for cleanings but they go ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure your pet is safe and under the best care. Shana is VERY knowledgeable in what she does she removed 11 teeth and on top of my dogs jaw being thin due to infection. She saved his life and made him free of pain. We are so thankful for your standard care in dentistry and the care you provided to Bugzy ❤️ and provide to ALL the fur babies who are fortunate to come to this wonderful Clinic.We Thank You, andBugzy thanks you 🐾

Great place for over the road truck drivers to get top quality care for their best friend , able to park semi truck & with out appointment have minor surgery done on a Sunday . Being new to the area, we hadnt chosen a vet yet. After our 13 year old Shih Tzu was showing signs of pain late one Friday night, my husband and I were grateful to find a veterinarian open on a Saturday. Everyone who worked with us was wonderful. They showed compassion for what they did and where they worked, and they were very professional and caring.Dr. Morgan worked on our little boy and I instantly appreciated her professionalism, knowledge and explanation of his condition, and care than she showed our Shih Tzu.We look forward to working with her again in the future.5 ⭐s for them!

They seem to care more about money then quality care. My sister and parents were given the run around about treatment for our puppy with parvo. I feel as though Ava wasnt given the best treatment possible because they didnt think they would get paid. Why would you unplug the puppy and stop treatment,leaving her to die as her owners sit in the waiting room. Heartless absolutely unnecessary. Ava died alone while my sister was in the waiting room. Absolutely disappointing.

For boarding: All I know is when I take my crazy lab here she comes home happy. When Ive taken her to another local boarder, she comes home tired and upset. For vet care: I wont take my pets anywhere else.

Love Elko Vet Dr. Percetti is my fave the staff is amazing there from front desk to vet techs to Docs they remember my dogs name and always come say hi when we are there ! And my duke has been in so much they are like his second family he loves them lmao

Inconvenient and rude. I have had more of an issue attempting to keep my dogs prescription filled than ever. They are unwilling to fax the prescription for you so it has to be picked up and mailed. On top of that, even with a follow up appointment completed they are unwilling to write a prescription for longer than one months time, so you have to do this process each and every month. When asking the staff on how come the prescription could not be faxed to the pharmacy she had no knowledge or willingness to find out. The whole thing makes no sense considering they are willing to fax it to the patient if need be.

Everyone is wonderful all our babies go and have a good time with them its like family for us.

This used to be my vet of choice but I stopped going there years ago when they became all about how much money they could get out of you. Last year my son took his Chihuahua there because her tooth was abscessed. They kept the the dog overnight and told him the tooth would need pulling the next day. The next day, I went with his wife to pick up the dog. They had not done anything but given the Dog antibiotics and charged $600 . For what?? I asked why the infected tooth had not been pulled and they said oh that is a surgery and surgeries are backed up for a month. What???Then why did you keep her overnight? No response. I paid the bill and took the dog. I promptly called my own vet at Aspen Vet in Spring Creek and they took care of the tooth the next day with no overnight stay and only charged $400 . Do not go to Elko Vet. They lie and charge unnecessary expenses to unsuspecting pet owners.

The exotic vet has a pleasant disposition that calms my birds, when they need to be examined, and when one injured his blood feathers. The prices are reasonable, and I was to bring my bird here the same day he was injured.

I called and spoke with a woman named Alex. Just now! I called to see how much it wotbe to get my female cat fixed. Before she gave me a quote, she asked if Id like her declawed! R u kidding me!!! Anyone that has a cat knows thats a very unnecessary and very painful procedure!! Very upsetting to me!!
