Worst “bank” I have ever encountered. Just an FYI for anyone trying to sign up..you aren’t allowed to sign over checks to cash in your account because they mark them as fraud and force you to go into the bank with said person to sign it over so they can “witness it”. Horrible customer service, the manager argued the whole time and tried to get personal details about our accounts (stuff that’s absolutely not her business)…I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Any other bank can take signed over checks and not count it as fraud. Might wanna check into the policies they have.

I went into the elk river location just before close last week, I asked about starting a membership /borrowing (a loan). The lady at the front desk told me I would have to create an appointment online. I created an appointment for 9-6-2021 at 4pm. Fast forward to now I realize that 9-6 is labor day and theyre closed. I waited for a week just to show up to a closed store. To be upset is an understatement. I feel as if their online appointment scheduling should have accounted for the holiday and not allowed to schedule appointments.

I’ve been a member at spire for almost 7 years and every time I go to the elk river location it has been a great experience. The tellers are always very polite and the bankers/ loan writers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Most recently my fiancé and I have been dealing with issues related to our auto loan and title transfer at the DMV...... Greg has been amazing at helping us through the process. I will never use another bank or credit Union.

I’ve always liked the people at Spire in Elk River. The last two times there’s been a male behind the counter who does not seem friendly and must be a manager who tells other employees to take over the counter seems to have a poor attitude.

Wow. I have received such poor customer service at this location that I will be closing my account as soon as my husband is back in town!I am new to local Credit Unions and opened a few extra side accounts; with the prospect of moving all of my main banking over here. After the way I have been treated on multiple occasions, I will continue to keep my main banking elsewhere, and wont be coming back here again!I was treated very well when opening my Spire account and linking a couple others to it. I have only used this bank 2 other times since joining. Both transactions were in the drive-thru, and during BOTH, I was treated rudely! In all of my years, only at Spire have I EVER been treated rudely while banking!During my first transaction, I made a cash withdrawal of a couple thousand from my Spire Account. I was given a dirty look and verbal tone of disdain from the teller for taking MY money out of my account! I was immediately turned off by this encounter, and honestly did not look forward to going back in the future. However, I tried to remain positive and attribute it to some other outside factors. I truly do try to give people the benefit of a doubt. However, I chose to delay transferring my main account over to Spires because of this encounter. Glad I waited!The second (and last) time was to make a deposit into my HIWAY Credit Union banking account through Spire. I have been informed by both Spire and HIWAY that this type of banking is acceptable.(HIWAY has been extremely kind and helpful. What a difference in comparison!!)Like I mentioned: I am new to Credit Unions, a little lost, and really needed a bit of help with navigation. I wouldve liked to speak with someone face-to-face inside the building, but due to Covid I needed an appointment to go inside. I was not aware I needed one until I pulled up, so I just used the drive-thru instead.Yet again, I was treated very rudely at Spire. Josie was short with me from the beginning, and after speaking to me over intercom/video, she would immediately turn it off before I could even respond back or ask a question! It was clear by her behavior that I was not of any importance. There was one other car in the three lanes available, so rushing was not excusable- nor should it be REGARDLESS. Each customer deserves your full attention when their turn has come up- whether busy or not.I will be sending a letter to the manager to inform them in greater detail of my experiences so that they are made aware of how their customers are being treated. Im sure they can look back on the tape as well. Being that I have been treated poorly 2 out of the 3 times Ive been here to do business, Im sure Im not the only one. I wouldnt be surprised if it was by the same person both times! Hopefully they can correct this behavior so they dont lose any other customers in the future. After having 2 out of 2 drive-thru experiences turn out sour at this Spire location, I will not be banking with them in ANY form the future.

Elk River Spire Federal Credit Union staff provides great personal Customer Service.With the unexpected loss of my husband the staff was kind , patient and informative with all of the paperwork involved. I recommend Spire Credit Union to all of my family and friends.

I have been with Spire Credit Union for ten years and have used many different branches. I have always received great service! I have received great rates on car loans with fast processing. I love their online website and their mobile app. Mobile App deposits! Best thing ever! Thanks Spire!

I put a cash deposit in of 500 to cover a transaction that was to take place on Monday morning. the bank opens at 8.30 and i posted the receipt, for cash, at 8.33. the bank bounced the transaction, for a fee of $33 , at 6.09 am.The bank does not accept deposits, but accepts debits at 6.09 AM. They explained to say they are a LIVE system and can accept debits at any time. Also, I should have used the atm to get a time stamp on checks. Does any one count the cash at 4.30 on a sunday nite?-Nope.SPIRE BANK CLAIMS GOOD OLD FASHIONED MIDWEST VALUES-.FOR SURE THEY HAVE PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE VALUES!i have been at another bank for 40 years, my son is banking with them and my father and mother bank with them. My family has been with the first state bank of Rosemount since 1960. i have had more trouble with spire bank in the past 2 years then in the 42 years i have been with the first state bank of Rosemount. in my opinion, spire bank is just another bank in for the money grab.IT WOULD BE REFRESHING TO JUST SAY YOU ARE IN IT FOR THE FEES AND ALL THE MONEY YOU CAN SCREW US OUT OF..I am signing my name because i am not going to be the guy that fires from a keyboard and not leave a contact..Bart WellsHitech Motorsport16820 hwy 10 Elk River mn. 55330

I called the main customer service number on a Saturday morning to see if I needed an appointment to open up an account. Was told no. I mentioned which branch I was going to. When I got to that branch the sign on the door says only the drive through was open on Saturdays. So we headed to the next closest branch. 20 miles away. Got there about 30 minutes to close. They took our names and we waited. They had 2 people working with clients. Multiple tellers standing around. 35 minutes later we were brought into an office. As we sat down we were told they are closed and we would need to come back another day. I can understand when its time to close. But heres my problem with this. First if you dont want to be a minute past close time then stop taking names earlier. You wasted more of my time than I did of yours. Second your customer service girl was so condisending and rude. If it were me. I would have worked with the customer. There was no one else after us. At the very least she could have kept my info and work on everything so all we would have to do is stop in and sign and deposit money. We work long hours all week and some Saturdays so we decided to go to a different bank that had friendlier tellers that would work with us. Our new accts were set up that afternoon.

I pulled up in an open lane, pressed the service button three times and had a lady make eye contact with me. She went to a different lanes screen and tried talking with me, couldnt hear me and walked away. I had to back-up and pull up into another lane. A different lady came up and told me sometimes it doesnt work and to just wave! Very upset with the service! !

Worst bank Ive ever been to. It seems like every single time the tellers are just blatantly rude. Its too bad I have to go through them to get to my car loan with firefly. Otherwise I would never go back and I would certainly never put my money through them willingly.
