Tried buying ammunition today. Well, I guess my Certificate of Naturalization was not good enough. The manager informed me I needed a birth certificate or a U.S.Passport. He mentioned Corporate had mandated only these strict rules. What they dont know is this is discrimination. They are opening themselves up to a lawsuit. I hope they fix that, then I hope they fix their attitudes. They never offer to help you. You have to call them over very loudly. They have disappointed me. Their firearms department needs help.

I like to go to big 5 and this particular store is my fav. Good deals, good offers nice and clean store, very nice people but the best variety of everything. Very good prices..

Sales person sent us 3 different places to look for some water shoes, he did not give us the right sku code of the shoes we ended finding them on our own.

I went today to buy a Xmas gift for my husband. I saw some weights and decided that this was the perfect gift for him. I’m so happy that the employee named Alex helped me out today. He saw that I was pregnant and immediately helped me by taking the weights from me and walking them to the cash register. After I paid he kindly offered to take the weights to my car. I appreciate his help so much. This was such a big act of kindness for me.

Like to come to Big 5 for the deals they have on items. Bought a corn hole game for $40 baseball equipment for my son and other camping gear. Bought a 12 gage a few months back for a really good deal. Check the website for deals.

The item were of quality but the service by marlene not to good. All I did was ask here for the phone number and she brushed me off lime she had something more important to do. I ask for the number to verify it so I wont waste my time driving over to the store if they didnt have what u want. There customer service sucks they dont approach u to ask if u need help. Im guessing they have more important things to do then to make money. Highly disappointed

Ive interacted with a person when inquiring about firearms. His attitude was very Stinky. Wouldnt give me a direct answer, was short with me seemed irritated that I was even asking? Not sure its because of Race? Gender? We women are firearm savy as well. Didnt expect that. Guessing Ill purchase elsewhere where my $$$ is appreciated and Im appreciated as a Patron! Im tired of this treatment when my hard earned money isnt valued! You gotta Do and Be Better Big5!!!!

Great employees, friendly and helpful. Store policy of marking products up then changing back to regular price but shown as on sale is misleading. Carefully peel the sale sticker and theres a good chance you will find regular price sticker for the same price.

Good experience over all., My only gripe was with the telescoping fishing rods. for Fathers day, last year, I asked for two rods a lite one and a sturdy one, and I instructed my awesome, beautiful to go to my neighbor hood Big 5 sporting goods, A few months passed before we get to go beach camping , and to my disappointment and shock while doing some lite casting in to the surf with my sturdy telescoping rod the largest section of my brand new rod broke....Most all of my previous birthday and Fathers day Big 5 rods have been very well made and a joy to own , so Im thinking it was a manufacturing goof for that brand, I did no bother with buying reel for my lite Rod. ( Same brand).

Nice shoes on sale. Could use a face lift outside would help the place look nice and in return would help the city looks nice.

What I like about Big 5 are their fantastic sales. They have pretty much everything you need for almost all types of sports but do know that they are all general brands.If youre looking for more specialty gear, you might want to go to a store like REI or Sports Chalet, which tend to be bigger stores with more offerings.This Big 5 has plenty of parking available and their staff are usually nice!

The gun Dept guy is very knowledgeable

I Came here to return cleats i just purchased yesterday and was denied a Ruturn because my cleats had Creases on them. The Guy at the register who wasnt even originally wasnt helping me out made the decision not to take my cleats with a rude attitue. I Just finished returning my cleats to big 5 in Covina as they gladly understood my situation and gave me store credit for my cleats.
