Worst front office customer service I have ever encountered. Followed an optometrist I really liked over when he merged into this office. Only got to utilize him once before he retired. Next appointment after that was horrid. They tried assigning 3 different appt dates to me before they listened to me about not assigning a time until the day my insurance kicked in. Day of appt they couldnt locate my insurance info and were very accusatory toward me in front of other customers. Had to pull up my insurance confirmation on my phone for them. Turns out they were the ones who werent currently active with that insurer. Had to come back in 2 weeks when they were active again. At that appt I got the same non-locating runaround and accusatory behavior. Turns out the same woman working in a back office who fixed things before had to come out and repeat it.After a few months one temple piece broke on my frames. Put on emergency pair and ran by office first thing next day. I am fully innoculated and wear a mask indoors besides and got lectured for dropping in without an appt. Since its not possible to plan for emergencies, I was very irritated.Cooled down down once I got repaired specs back but was thinking of no longer using their services. They insured I wont be back yesterday by arbitrarily assigning an appt for me without my approval.

I had first visited this office two years ago and was seen by Dr. Weiss. The entire process, from exam to fitting of my new glasses was flawless. Times have changed drastically.It started with my new exam, but a different doctor. The exam, itself, seemed alright. When my new glasses came in a week later, things went downhill quickly. I was handed them, asked to look around and then dismissed. As the afternoon went on, I struggled to focus. I also discovered several scratches on both lenses. I called the next day to request to be re-examined, along with having the lenses replaced. The doctor admitted to bumping up my prescription because of my elevated astigmatism. A completely new setup was ordered.I was called two weeks later and, again, handed the glasses, asked to look around and dismissed. I didnt take the time to look at the lenses carefully. When I got home and went to clean them correctly, I noticed the left lense looked as though it had been cleaned with sand paper. Ive owned my previous pair for two years and they have not a scratch on them.I took them back in, with an attitude. They said they would address the issue promptly. Two weeks later, Im told they are back. I asked them to inspect the lenses before I wasted time coming back in. Three hours later, I get a call to inform me that the lab applied the earlier prescription. I was told I would receive some form of reimbursement. It never happened.It took another three weeks to get them back, and they were wrapped in foam. The office assistant informed me that the lab supervisor inspected and wrapped them personally. As she was the only person in sight, I was handed a set of ill-fitting glasses that drove me crazy.Costco was amazing with the little time it took to fit and adjust them.I cannot recommend Main Street Optometry at all. As so many reviews have stated, the level of quality and customer service has gone downhilll dramatically. Warranty withstanding, I will not be returning.

I was pretty excited to book my appointment here, as I saw the positive reviews. Not sure what I did, but their customer service is terrible. Their response to my appointment request was Is there insurance for us to look us for for your appointment? There was no greeting nor welcoming. They werent able to find my insurance coverage, and were rude over it. If youre looking for a simple eye exam, I suggest going somewhere friendlier.

I went there for my first eye check up in ages, after having to use the computer for an excessive amount during school. It was set to be a routine check up to see how my eyes were doing after looking at a screen for so long. I wasnt sure what to expect, but the people working there and the doctor made the whole thing very easy. I found out I had trouble reading smaller text on screens, had no clue that it should have been clearer than it was, but thanks to the doctor I was able to get a new pair with blue light filters, so I could easily use them for reading my computer screen without straining my eyes.

Called office regarding secondary insurance info. Clearly the woman on the phone was NOT using phone skills. I explained we had this coverage. All services were not yet provided. Glasses had NOT yet been ordered. After the 4th explanation of the issue, finally “oh glasses have not been ordered “, that’s what I have been trying to explain. What is your email so I may send u the info. She hung up on me.....😖This is NOT customer service. As the previous post stated, terrible phone skills. Stay away . There r far to many offices that provide fabulous service. Also when we entered the exam room the computer had been left open with past patients medical info (HIPPA PRIVACY violation) I could have chosen to read all of the last patients medical info. WOW 😳

I went for my contacts 7 different times. They are still not right. Very rude and inpatient doctor. My prescription glasses were wrong, I had to go back twice for that. I’m stuck with contacts that they charged my insurance 2 thousand dollars for that can’t even use. Then instead of trying to fix the problem. They told me don’t come back go to another place. I’m so maddd

From my first phone call to schedule an appointment to my visit, I was impressed with the service and professionalism. I have been in customer service for 25+ years and theirs exceeds expectation. Dr. Weiss knows her stuff and is great at making sure the patient does. Her staff is amazing and helpful! They have the latest and greatest in equipment and it was so nice not having my eyes dilated with drops. Great experience and I would highly recommend using Dr. Weiss.

Ive been with Dr. Lisa Weiss for several years now. Shes great, also her friendly staff, and reasonable prices, appointments are no problem! I do appreciate all the help they give me. Not pushy about selling products they have, ONLY the ones you really need!!! I am sure you will be very satisfied w/Dr. Weiss. You just have to give them a try. You wont be sorry!! :-)

This was a great first experience for my 3 and 5 year old daughters- the doctor was patient and gave my girls different options to really try to get an accurate eye exam. She was great and my girls are super excited to go back to pick up their first pair of glasses!

Dr. Weisss office is amazing! I called 7 optometrist offices to find someone ego had my contacts and took my insurance. From the moment I scheduled my appointment I was very excited to meet this wonderful staff. The receptionist was a great first impression and Dr Weiss was so helpful and down to earth. I would recommend to all my friends and family!

Great service and people.My family will be dropping Costco visan and coming here. I got my saftey glasses here one year ago and they were super nice. Now my son needs new glasses.

Dr. Weiss is an outstanding optometrist, and a wonderful person. She is caring, bright, affable, attentive and effective. She explains things in a way that is easy to understand, and my wife and I always feel that we get the best attention possible. Her staff is the best anywhere...truly delightful. The office is a welcoming place, and every visit is pleasurable.

Dr Weiss takes time to talk with you and answer any questions you have about the exam and test that are performed. I highly recommend this office for your vision needs.

Dr. Weiss and her staff are professionals who know about eyewear and customer service. Saturday appointments are convenient and they are willing to accommodate their clients needs. Dr. Lisa Weisss office is warm and inviting. When I do business, I prefer to visit with friends and catch up. It was just like that-the only thing missing was coffee and a bistro table! Seriously, though...I called on a Tuesday morning and was able to be seen that same week for my first appointment. I needed a new prescription and there was no pressure to purchase my contacts or my glasses from them. I wound up with new lenses for my glasses (kept my old frames)-I had them back within a week. When I ordered contacts they came back within 48 hours. Definitely excellent customer service with a SMILE!

I have been seeing Dr Weiss for years and absolutely love her and her staff. Dr Weiss is knowledgeable and caring. Her staff is just outstanding. And they have my beloved Fysh frames!!

My father had came to Main Street Optical for his new glasses. They service was great and professional until his $400.00 lense started falling out of the frames. He was told the frame was not correct for his lenses and there was no was to make lense stay. We thought due to their mistake they would be able to make their wrong to be fixed and honored. However he was told the best they could do was to split the cost. We feel this was not out fault and and unprofessional.

What a great place to go. I was a little nervous but they were so nice! Would definitely recommend to anyone I know.

Had a 9am appt i arrived a little early. They saw me as soon as i arrived and i was out in a flash. My glasses arrived in a week which os wonderful. The staff was amazing. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.

Great eye doctors and staff. I had an eye injury and they got me right inand did all the tests in one visit to evaluate my eye.I always recommend Dr Weiss to anyone who needs her services.

Dr. Weiss and her staff have in the past and at my recent visit provided me with the best of care and service. I could not recommend them more.

Regarding Richard Tatos recent experience: After spending in excess of $400 for a pair of prescription glasses the frames were defective. One of the lenses fell out of the frame and Main Street Optical refused to fix the frames but, instead, attempted to cohearse him into purchasing new lenses and frames. Buyer beware.

The ladies that have helped me have always been super friendly, and willing to help me. Amazing service!

Dr. Weiss and her staff seem very unprofessional. I was actually surprised that someone practicing medicine could appear no different from someone working at McDonalds. I tried to look over that and then she tried to peer pressure me into purchasing some intangible program that my son does not need with no guarantee it will work. I googled the program later and it is a bunch of baloney. I still tried to keep an open mind, but when the glasses they gave my son literally were breaking every week, and being replaced under the manufacturers warranty, I decided its time to elsewhere. Those frames broke in the same exact spot at least 15 times and were replaced, in less than 6 months. And every time he had to go a week to school with no glasses while they were being repaired. Absolutely ridiculous.
