Pet Prescription Team is a world-class organization. Phil and Krystal welcomed me to this family with warm hearts and open arms. Their selection process, training and mentoring is well structured and one of the best program in therapy dog services. The directors and leaders of this organization are consistently available and responsive. It is so transparent that this organization has assembled some of the most selfless and kindest souls. The devotion and dedication of the volunteers sharing the benefits of the human-animal bond and showcasing the healing powers of pets to human health and wellness are praiseworthy. I am so honored to be part of this amazing team.

Pet Prescription Team is made up of volunteers who give 100% of their time and hearts along with their dogs, to bring a smile to a broken heart or a crushed soul. Our main focus is to bring happiness and comfort to those who are physically or mentally challenged. We also help with young adults in high schools and inmates at the city jails. To be a part of this team is the greatest experience to behold. Please take a few minutes and check out the great work these volunteers strive to achieve everyday along with the main focus being the dogs and those in need.

When I decided to train my dog as a therapy dog I looked at other organizations but picked pet prescription team for many reasons. The fact that they constantly monitor your dog and you as you train, they tell you what type of facilities your dog is suited for and they place you at a facility when you graduate is important to me. They have meetings every other month and tell you of other locations you can visit and events you and your dog can take part in. They are very responsive and professional. You will not fine a better therapy dog group any where.

Pet Prescription Team is a non profit organization of close to 200 volunteers and their professionally trained therapy dog (or cat) who have regularly scheduled appointments to visit those in need of the magic animals freely and eagerly share.Founded ten years ago and led by an amazing husband and wife team, Krystal and Phil Emery, the impact of this organization continues to grow and expand and is a blessing to both the clients and the participants.I have been part of PPT since 2014 and have trained two dogs through their extensive training program, which trains the owners and the animal, to successfully visit clients. I work with all ages of people, from very young children at the Childrens Advocacy Center, high school students struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress, juvenile inmates at Eastlake Juvenile Hall, adults recovering from operations, strokes, and other ailments, and elderly who live in assisted living facilities. This is part of what makes this program so special - the impact these trained dogs and their owner have on all types of people and situations is boundless. The importance of our regularly scheduled visits is easy to quantify when the usually hour long visit is complete. Clients connect, smile, speak, share, laugh, pet and play with the dog, and feel a warmth and compassion that they may not have felt at all that day, that week, or for a very, very long time. Additionally, I have experienced countless employees at assisted living facilities and staff at high schools, who cherish PPT visits and connect with the animals in much the same way as their clients. The mission of the Pet Prescription Team is actually quite simple, but the delivery is not. Professionally trained volunteers and pets, and a professionally managed program is what makes PPT stand above other animal therapy programs. I am often asked about my service dog. Ulysses is not a service dog, I explain. He is a trained therapy dog, trained to work with You - the client I am visiting. The impact of PPT continues to expand and this relatively new therapy, utilizing the gifts our animals share with us, continues to expand to venues throughout Southern California.

These people were taking XMAS pictures at our local Pet Supply Warehouse. We have been happy patrons there for years. Krystal Emery, Dir of this group and her husband were in charge of positioning, securing and advising positioning of the dogs for photos. Her husband the nitwit he is, suggests removing their leashes for better photos and OH, will watch the front door so that they dont get out. GUESS WHAT, they did and one almost made his way to a major street. His response, get out of my face, back off, at least I got one of them. We are going to get his attention as the genious he is, he almost cost us the loss of a member of our family. If this is how these people truly conduct themselves, then run away dont walk, run, and dont have anything to do with these people.addtl infor this morning, we learned that insurance information that they gave us is false. It will only intensify our committment to bring justice for others so that these people are out of business.
