The optometrist was very straightforward and told me the prescription I needed was easily obtainable on Amazon for less money than I wouldve spent in the office. I appreciated the honesty and find it respectable that I wasnt encouraged to purchase expensive frames/lenses from them. Proof they are about the patient experience and not dollar signs.

Dr. Eigenbrodt has been our eye doctor for many years. We always feel as though our exams are very thorough and Dr. Eigenbrodt explains everything so well. He is an EXCELLENT doctor!

Dr. Eigenbrodt and his staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Eigenbrodt listens caringly and answers all questions without trivializing them. He goes above and beyond to the point of calling us at home multiple times to follow up on my husbands health condition and vision.

Dr. Eigenbrodt has been our familys optometrist since he started his practice. He provides the most thorough and complete eye examinations we have ever experienced. I am almost certain the lens prescriptions he has provided are more accurate and perfect than what we previously received at the national glasses chains. His examinations also consider complete eye health as well as general health issues that can affect vision. As a graphic designer my vision is especially important to me and I know my eye health is in the best hands. One of our family members has had more extensive prescription needs, and I believe Dr. Eigenbrodt has provided the best care possible for her.The staff are all welcoming and friendly and the office is a pleasant place to visit. Their extensive selection of frames is better than the chain stores and includes choices from economical to high-end designer frames. Service for new glasses or replacement lenses or repairs has always been fast and efficient.Dr. Eigenbrodt and Eigenbrodt Vison Center have kept our family seeing sharp and looking sharp for over 25 years.

My teenage son is picky when it comes to finding frames. They listen to his concerns and desires and ordered frames. He was so thrilled that they could find what he wanted!! Im normally not one to post online reviews but my several experiences with this office have by far been the worst. I personally liked the Dr himself, his bedside manner was top of the line and he was very kind. As for the rest of the staff, they are extremely disrespectful to say the least. My glasses were recently destroyed and my insurance will not cover a new pair for a few more months so instead of paying over $300, I decided to order a pair through an online website. I called the office to retrieve my eye script (which seemed to be a hassle in the first place) but when I received the script via fax, I didnt understand all the lingo (OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE I DONT WORK IN THE OPTOMETRY FIELD.) Of course I called the office and asked what some of the info meant and without a doubt the front staff (lauren maybe?) made me feel extremely foolish and unintelligent. I would not recommend this office to anyone. If you work in any healthcare field or with the public in general (like myself) than you need to have respect/patience for your patients/customers.

Service is always excellent and the staff is thoughtful and polite. I appreciate that both Dr. Eigenbrodt and his assistants are willing to take time to explain the process and any recommended procedures.

I called Eigenbrodt having recently moved to Glen Carbon and as a new patient to the area looking for someone to treat a bacterial infection of my eye. As a health care provider myself we always have a spot in our schedule for emergency patients. I was told they did not have an available appointment for 5 days. This is pretty disappointing knowing bacterial infections can potentially lead to blindness, not to mention I am unable to open my right eye. If you are a new patient seeking care I would check around, all patients should be given the same treatment, new or existing.

I love it here Ive been seeing Dr. Eigenbrodt since I was 5 I am now 22 and wouldnt ever go anywhere else!

Needed Replacement frames, got quick and friendly service

I was very disappointed that I ended up with expensive glasses I can’t wear. After initially seeming interested in getting to the bottom of my serious discomfort and remaking them a few times (even using my previous prescription), they had no answers for me. The whole appointment and glasses turnaround process was lengthy and front staff seemed to think I was an inconvenience or making up the problems. 👎🏼
