I just had an ashiatsu massage with Heidi, it was absolutely one of the best massages I have ever had. Ask anyone, I have issues with feet but this was amazing. It is deeper than a regular massage and it is a much slower pace. Would I do it again, 100%, YES.
My massage with Kim Engelke was excellent. She also gives great waxes and facials. Shes super personable and makes you feel comfortable. Shes my go-to girl! The new location has a nice vibe! Im curious about the other services provided here, might try some out.
I just had my first Ashiatsu massage with Heidi. It was such a new experience of massage. I am pretty active and the ashiatsu reached deep into muscle and released tension without the sharp pressure. I felt pleasantly relieved and didn’t have the achey-soreness that some massages can leave me with. I am pretty amazed by this method and am excited to do this again.
Kim is absolutely amazing! Kim introduced me to cupping and nothing has been more effective in helping me recover from years of cancer treatments and knee reconstruction. Her dedication to making people feel and look great is refreshing. The new space is gorgeous and welcoming. I cant say enough how much I appreciate Kim!
I am a local chiropractor and have a special interest in movement and strength training. I went to The Workshop for my first ever pilates lesson to work with Katie. I was extremely impressed by her ability to identify weaknesses in my body and show me how to fix them. She has excellent cues and and does a wonderful job at scaling the difficulty of the lesson to your individual fitness level. I HIGHLY recommend The Workshop.
Nice, clean studio in a convenient location with easy parking and public transportation access. Instructor and owner Katie is very knowledgeable about physical exercise in general and has long experience with Pilates training. Even in group class settings, Katie adapts the postures to each customers physical needs. Everyone gets personalized attention and can get the most out of their exercise. Katies pleasant personality also puts everyone at ease, even the apprehensive first timer who maybe never exercises or has a history of ailments or injuries. I highly recommend this gym for all ages and fitness levels.
This review is based off many spa appointments with Kim (co-owner) at The Workshop, I can solidly give her a full five stars. Kim has consistently impressed me with her professional knowledge, and above all has won my repeat business with her honesty and lovely demeanor. I adore Kim and owe her a great deal for my skin (less breakouts). Her awesome facials and waxing services are my go to and I am never disappointed. Ive gone elsewhere in the past and nothing can compare to the quality, and experience that I receive at The Workshop. My next mission is to work out and take a few yoga and pilates classes. Their aesthetic studios are inviting and well equipped. Overall, I am so grateful to have found Kim and The Workshop.
Ive been seeing Kim for massage once a month for almost a year and I feel great! She listens to me and what I want her to work on, she offers great suggestions and I love the cupping! Her waxing is great too! Always on point!
Kim is absolutely AMAZING! I recommend her to anyone and everyone! She cares so much about each of her clients, you wont be disappointed!
Kim is amazing! I cant say enough. She has helped me tremendously with my skin care needs. I have always been pretty self conscious about my skin. Ive always tried to hide imperfections with makeup. Since seeing Kim Ive stopped wearing makeup and my skin looks and feels great. The best part is people are constantly getting my age wrong. Ive had several people mistake me for being in my early thirties when Im actually in my 40s. Thanks Kim!
Kim is wonderful! I love the feel of their new space and the service is top notch. Kim gives wonderful, custom massages and is so personable!
I love it at The Workshop. I love the atmosphere, the layout, the other happy clients I train with, the friendly and knowledgable staff. I love Kim, who has personally trained me, motivated me, and continues to encourage me to take the chance and push my self as hard as I can. After 25 years of gym memberships and constantly being let down by crappy facilities and rude staff, I am so thankful to have found The WorkShop where they let me be me.
Kim is the best. She has an awesome atmosphere and the gym is so inviting. I highly recommend the Workshop for spa needs, crossfit, Pilates and just about everything else!
My experience at The Workshop has been amazing!! I do a combination of Pilates group apparatus and mat classes, and occasional private sessions. All the instructors Ive worked with: Katie, Diane, Hanni, Anne Marie -- are very skilled and Ive learned much from each of them. My body has changed dramatically since Ive been doing Pilates at The Workshop!
The workshop is in a great central location, right near the ferry and train depot in Edmonds, WA. Although I havent tried any of their Yoga classes I do use their spa services and have had a great experience every time! I am thankful to have The Workshop in Edmonds and would highly reccomend it!
Love this place!! Do some pilates and get a massage today!
Ive been doing CrossFit for the past 3 years and when I travel I always look for a box to do a drop-in workout. Ive had the opportunity to try about 10 other boxes throughout the US and, overall, everyone was nice and I was able to get a in a good workout. Im very partial to my home box, Predation CrossFit, because our coaches are coaching us every minute of every class and I find that when you are lifting very heavy things or doing potentially dangerous gymnastic moves, its good to have someone keeping an eye on your form at all times. Usually, most other boxes do a met-con which is great when youre just trying to get a workout in as you travel, but Ive found that when other boxes have lifting WODs, they dont do much coaching. In my travels, Ive only found one other box, CrossFit Monterrey, that came close to the coaching I receive at my home box, until two days ago. I had tried another CrossFit box in Edmonds and it was OK but, on a whim, I thought Id try the CrossFit class at The Workshop. Im taking the time to write this review (which I never do) because I was blown away by how fantastic my experience was at The Workshop. Lana, our coach for the past two days, was nothing short of fantastic. Aside from having a contagiously happy personality, she is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to work with each of us on every move with detailed coaching during the entirety of both classes I attended. I felt like I was at my home box which is a great feeling when youre the visitor dropping in from out of town. Lets be honest, CrossFit is very physically taxing and is supposed to be extremely hard if youre doing it right, but I truly enjoyed both classes she coached. I get to do one more class tomorrow morning and Im already looking forward to it. My in-laws live in Edmonds so Im here a couple times a year and from now on I know where Ill be getting my CrossFit workouts in while Im in town.
The setup of this place is very open, leaving zero privacy. I was literally taking a class and people coming from outside were walking into the workout space disturbing the session. also, spuds fish and chips is right next door, and the walls are so thin that you can literally smell and hear everything going on next door. Taking a class while hearing the spud crew listen to loud music while working in the kitchen was beyond disturbing! Not returning
