So Ive gone here probably a dozen times over the years with issues with my family - I have a large and accident prone one for sure. We have been there for everything from broken bones, severe asthma, lacerations needing stitches, and even once for a MRSA infection. Every time Ive been there Ive been treated kindly, with respect, and with good knowledge. The recent remodel looks great as well, the waiting lobby is very pleasant. We went there tonight with a puncture wound and tear on the hand that needed stitches that was deep enough to worry a bit, and once again we were treated with professional competent staff.

Phenomenal ED staff members. Thank you all for everything and treating me with such care and wellbeing. I appreciate all nurses/doctors/caseworkers/billing/check in. Getting in the back to be seen, was faster than I anticipated. Kept me updated with most everything going on related to my health, future as well. They have good protocols for distancing/sanitizing. Thank each and every one of you, for your respect and service.

I had severe strep throat with a 102.4 degree fever. They got me into triage right away, everyone was extremely friendly. They gave me every treatment available and wasted no time. I appreciated the help I got from everyone. Especially after dealing with the nightmare of urgent care right now. Most urgent cares in the area are turning down patients with any throat symptoms because of fear or Covid. It’s not fair to overload hospitals like that. It’s refreshing to see medical caregivers not hesitate to provide the best care possible to whoever needs it.

My girlfriend had a very traumatizing experience with the emergency room at Swedish. She needed to be seen immediately when we arrived at the ER and instead were placed in the waiting room. She had extreme nausea and I had to ask the front desk twice for help. Only until she had actually vomited that’s when they finally took her into the consultation area. She was completely disoriented and not able to handle herself and the staff made it very clear they did not have sympathy. Some of her clothes had been soiled and she was told to change in the restroom. Upon changing there was some mess to clean up in the restroom that you could tell the head nurse was upset about. I apologized and did my best to clean up because it was an embarrassing moment for both me and my girlfriend. After being assigned a room where the curtain was left open, the janitor who came to clean was making inappropriate comments loud enough for us to hear and the nurse assigned to our room was going along with him agreeing. No one was making us feel safe or letting us know what was going on. Even in a dire situation that we were going through I did not feel she or her family were being attended to in the right way. No introductions, no information, mean looks and comments. I would never go back or take anyone I love again.

My spouse tripped over one of our cats and got a nasty concussion. It took them no time from the moment we got to the emergency room to have him in a room and patched up.There was an even more critical emergency that came in while we were there, so we had to wait quite a bit before being discharged, but thats more than understandable. Everyone was super nice and helpful! Only downside is that our insurance said that the on duty doctor was out of network, so it cost more than expected, but thats a risk you take going to any emergency room.

This used to be the hospital I would choose to go to but now I hate even coming here. Last visit I was there for 4.5 hours for the doctor to talk to me for maybe 3 minutes and leave me with more questions than I had when I came in. Now I’m laying on a gurney in a hallway with no pain meds or anything until my surgery in 14 hours. There isn’t even a secure place to put my purse so I guess if I get tired I will just hold it to my chest.

Went to ER with a crushed thumb and middle finger from a pitbull bite. After jumping through thier hour of hoops I was given a bandaid and 4 low dose pain medication. Had to go back the next day and Terry West the manager was too busy to address my concerns and made me and my son wait in line to be seen and charged for the second visit.

Wow I thought providence hospital was bad well this place is very unorganized and if you were dying they would just walk by you, I’m bleeding all over the place and we have been here for almost 3 hours I know I’m not dying but this is unacceptable what a terrible place they are not even letting us know why it is taking so long, I would advise to go to a different location because this one needs more education and training for these types of days where they are busy I hope they get the training they need. However this place is definitely better then providence overall

My wife pinched a nerve in her back, went to the ER as the pain didn’t subside and it took over three hours for us to be properly helped. The kicker, the doctors and nurses refused to diagnose and instead just filled her with pain killers. Great way to show you care about your clients, who pay your salaries. Absolute joke of a hospital in terms of the ER be ready for a long night if you decide this is your next stop.Sincerely,Chris

Going to the ER is not something to be excited about but I honestly felt like I had the best possible experience both times I was here. Every single staff member I came in contact with was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive. They were efficient and excellent at communicating what was coming next so I never wondered what we were waiting for. They were quick to take steps to relieve my immediate problem while taking the time to find the root of it. We are so lucky to have an ER like this in the area.

Was with a friend in the ER. Tried to text my husband only to find that I could not text or make a call on my iPhone. ER nurse stated that unless I had TMobil my phone would not work there. Does Swedish realize how dangerous this is. My phone works at every other hospital I have ever been in, but not Swedish Edmonds. I will not go back there.

ER here is a total joke. I came in because I was having trouble breathing. There was not one person in the waiting room so obviously not too busy. The workers looked like they were on vacation. I came in at 6:30a because walk-in did not open until 7:30a and I needed to get on top of the breathing issue. I should have just waited and got better service at walk-in and it would have been cheaper. I have never been to a place so inefficient! I will never come back here.

Worst emergency room ever. My son had a fever of 103.5 and we wait for 2 hours just to get inside a room. Wait another half an hours just to see a doctor. Doctor come in and check 4 minutes and said he seem fine and keep give him Ibuprofen. You can go home. Take 5 minutes to see but 2and the half hour. People come later than us even get a room before my son. Hate this place take forever.

Staff was trying to make things worst with put downs and other means of harassment. They would share the conditions with patients with either laughing it out or actually talking to them.In front it looks professional, but behind in the rooms they would treat you bad.

I feel like running an ER at this hospital is an after thought. It was very quiet while I was there but rarely saw the nurse and saw a physicians assistant for a few minutes one time. By comparison, radiology was very prompt despite being in the middle of the night. I came in telling them I had one of my symptoms was high blood pressure. The diagnosis they made was high blood pressure. There were many other problems. The whole trip felt useless. I was told to exercise more. Just now it felt like the artery in my neck was going to burst doing something I normally engage in frequently thats not very strenuous. Go somewhere else. I hear mill creek has an ER.

Relatively competent service.However...Some nurses kept simply chatting and eating pizza at the station, and the first one who eventually came to my room poked me a thousand times and got it right not even once.It took me eight hours just to get my imaging done, I became nauseated not from the process but from not having eaten since the morning, because they wouldnt let me eat, precisely so they can get my imaging done. When I was finally discharged, they mis-called me and didnt have the courtesy to leave any message, only to get verbally abused by the rudest operator I have ever had the displeasure of becoming aware that I share the planet with in my entire life. Can someone explain to me what is going on?

I come there I was waiting for 4 hours no body ask if I’m okay. This was the worst place. This is emergency they supposed to help more quickly, however, I did not see this when I went there. I went there at night there wasn’t no big line but it took them forever to help. I don’t know what happened if people come there during the day time.

Very bad service. Urgent care service would be faster. I strongly suggest avoiding this location. It took 10 mins for paperwork as expected. But to see a doctor after that, it took 65 minutes. And then for x-ray it took 45 minutes.

Extraordinarily bad experience - Worst ER Ive ever been to. Saw a PA STUDENT who was largely unsupervised. She didnt listen at all, insisted I was presenting with something I was not, would not respond to my correction, gave a very painful exam (she hit me repeatedly to determine if I had pain), and had terrible communication skills. Can you give less than 1 star?

SLOW!!!!!!Firefighters/ Ambulance had to get me out of my dorm room on campus and transported me to the ER... waited 4hrs in the lobby with really bad lower back pain!!! finally got in... it was jam packed inside.. had patients beds in the hallway because they weren’t enough rooms... But i must say DR Jeremy ( don’t rmbr last name) and the Asian nurse was very nice , thorough, very attentive, gave me advice, had a sense of humor , and treated me like a human being. he ended up prescribing me some stronger meds until i gotten back mri results from my orthopedic doc. I feel wayyyyyyyyyyyy better now! thanks for the relief atleast. Oh and shoutout to the dude upfront who rolled me to the bathroom, held my purse, and was patient with me in getting out the wheelchair.

I was born with a brain condition that I did not know about until I was 41 I am now 44 and I have had brain surgery which is just a treatment for my condition. My condition can cause serious severe horrific pain as well as death!I work with a pain management doctor where we both agree that daily pain meds are needed but not always going to work! Every time I have gone to Swedish Edmunds I get treated horrible I get treated like a drug seeker I get treated like I have no idea what Im talking about the last time I was there the doctor couldnt even pronounce my condition! I begged I pleaded for her to call my Pain Doctor which was right across the street from the emergency room she refused! I got no relief and am getting worse and Worse! She had no clue what my condition is and refused to research it! In the end she never called it right and the stress of the way I was treated by the doctors and nurses caused more pain than I came in with! It was not just pain that I went to the er yet she told me I was lying and belittled me, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ER TO ANYONE EVER!! DO THE RESEARCH I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!I only gave a star because you have to, they dont even deserve that

No bed, no blanket. My chair reclined, but about as much as a chair on an airplane. I went in with a migraine and still dont understand why they wouldnt have given me a medication for that. I was given ketorolac, diphenhydramine and onsansetron, which took the edge off, but didnt get rid of the pain or light sensitivity. The light in my room was turned on several times, and they had trouble each time in figuring out how to turn it back off. After freezing and bring miserable for hours, they sent me home with onsansetron, 800mg of ibuprofen and Norco. I should have argued, since I was already given ketorolac, and knew all Norco would do is make me more nauseous. I was up every 2 hours with the same rancid headache, still took the Norco out of pure desperation. Since I couldnt eat, and am a type 1 diabetic, all the Norco did was cause more problems. I ended up throwing up the few crackers I had managed to get down even with the anti nausea med. Another problem on top of being in the worst pain of my life, cause of course, i had given myself insulin for those few crackers. I ended up having to ask my sister in law for a pill of her migraine medication, since no one in the ER had any thought about that. Thank God for educated family!!!! After the sumatriptan, I finally feel better. Im so frustrated, and will never go back to Edmonds ER. Unbelievable!!!
