STHS Edinburg provided the best quality of care to my mother. The physician and hospital staff were professional and friendly. They assured my mother that she would start feeling better with the medication. That immediately helped her feel at ease. The doctor and nurse explained the plan of action that would be taken at home. We were on our way home within a few hours. We walked away impressed with the overall experience. Highly recommend STHS Edinburg.

I came in for x-rays and an MRI during my visit. Vero from registration was fantastic and made the entire process quick and stress free. Within 10 minutes, I was kindly greeted by radiology coordinator Dan Hernandez and was taken to the exam room where x-ray tech Kassandra performed my x-rays. They were both very professional, friendly and efficient in getting me taken care of. I happily returned a few days later for a follow up MRI with techs Adrian and Marco. They were very experienced and knowledgeable in getting my procedure done with ease. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing any imaging studies! Such a great staff, thank you!

Couldn’t had picked any other place that wasn’t here. As soon as I was transported to this hospital, I was blessed to have such an amazing and caring nurse as Annette. She took such great care of me and made me feel safe in so many ways. Having her by my side felt as if I had my mom with me at all times. She made me her priority and I can’t thank her enough for what she has done for me throughout my stay. She loves talking to you and getting to know you, but over all her words of wisdom, courage and faith were everything to me. As per my Dr. Delima Rodriguez, thank you for the care you took upon me, you explained everything to me and asked me if I had any questions or concerns. She sure made me feel safe in her hands. Over all my experience here at this hospital has been amazing, and I can’t thank the people who come in everyday to work and provide such great care for you the minute you step into this hospital. Please I ask everyone who comes in here to please be considerate, nice, and patient with all our nurses, doctors, and all staff who work anywhere in the medical field, they are here for us despite anything they might be going through outside of the hospital, they still come and put us first over everything. Thank you for all you do especially through this pandemic. And Annette thank you for everything, you were one of the best nurses I had over all, keep doing what you do because from my experience you are an amazing nurse who truly does care about her patients. Everyone so nice, took great care of my husband. 2nd floor nurse Nina is great. All the people that took care of him was wonderful.

My husband brought me at the emergency because I was having chest pains. I went there and Immediately O was attended to. I had a BP of 202/105. The doctors and the nurses who attended me was great! They did all the tests and informed me and my husband about it. They were kind, thorough and very skilled. I trusted them and I felt that I was really taken cared of. I felt they were not only doing their job, but they do really care about their patients. This is not the only time I visited this hospital. It has is indeed always been the same every time I go.

This past week I had to take my mother to the emergency room and although its never a good experience, I felt that she got great care from Dr. Melendez in the emergency department. He was very informative and professional. He took his time in explaining in detail about what was happening to my mom. We left satisfied and knowledgeable with the information he gave us. Kassandra from Radiology was very caring and very attentive to my mother’s needs. She came in to verify what type of procedure was needed in order to make sure the Dr. got the results he needed. She explained the procedure that was completed and answered all the questions we had about the exam. She was very caring and made sure to complete the procedure in a timely manner while keeping my mom as comfortable as possible.

My daughter Elizabeth had a day surgery procedure yesterday and I couldnt of asked for better care... Im a registered nurse for over 20+ years and even though I was not able to be there by her side due to COVID-19. I would like to see that a recognition of service goes to Marcela Reyes RN and a Deena RN be acknowledged for their caresuperb care

The McAllen hospital is the worst! Do not send your family members there, they will let them die and they will steal your loved ones things. My brother passed away there and the next day they couldnt even find his things, his cell phone and other belonging just magically disappeared. To this day we don’t t know what happened to him there or to his belongings. We are very disappointed with this hospital and will never us it again.

Had a mamo and the most helpful nurse I have ever run into down here in the valley. Melinda put me at ease on the procedure and explained in detail what would be happening. I appreciate having an experienced nurse helping me. She is a real asset to your hospital.

Our experience was this hospital has been great everyone from the cleaning staff to the doctors have done fantastic we cant say enough about physical therapy they have been fabulous the head of nursing the ER and the critical care unit could not have done a better job. I would recommend this hospital to all of the valley we have lived here 7 years and it is one of the greatest hospitals here you are treated well sometimes theres a mess up that happens in life the respiratory therapy group has also been great.

Words can’t describe how amazing the staff was here.From my Nurses who were Ivonne, Alexis, Nadine, Sunni and Much more. Then my PA Lauren and Dr Longaria they were amazing as well always there to give it to me straight and were supportive. Then we have my surgeon Dr Issac Lee awesome surgeon who took amazing care of me. Then of course gotta give a Shout-out to my Radiology buddies Dan and Kassandra who always made me feel at Home. The whole process for having my procedure done was great. No problems at all when I have to preregister nor the day of surgery. Great team overall.

DO NOT COME HERE EVER IN YOUR LIFE. Don’t take this lightly either I mean it 100% the emergency room staff are absolutely horrible. She literally laughed at me when saying to take a seat since I couldn’t sit because of my condition. Secondly I waited 4 hours and had absolutely nothing at all done on me and got charged $4000 dollars. I could’ve stayed home and wouldn’t be in debt now and would have been treated way better. Biggest regret of my life. And if you’re trying to get help from their billing department, don’t waste your time it’s an absolute joke, they don’t care and won’t help you.

I strongly recommend this Hospital, their staff is very kind and friendly, they treat you like family and that is greatly appreciated. My father was in a bad condition and they saved his life. The five stars for 2nd floor nurses that attended to my mom. No stars for a Security guard name Alex. Apparently he has no last name. He said was unable to give it me. He refused to let me see my mom. Because she had 2 visitors earlier non family. She had her visitors for the day. I mentioned my mom has been hospitalized since Monday and first to enforce. Its sad to say. A family member was unable to visit.

Excellent Service! My Mom was hospitalized for 3 weeks and due to my work I couldnt visit every day but when I did, I felt the loving care of the staff. Thank you so much to Dr.Fontirroche, nurse Crystal, nurse Orlando, the Rehab & Lab team and special thanks to hospital leader Ms D.Treviño she came every morning to see my Mom and made sure she was comfortable, this special treat from everyone made her recovery an easier road. My father was hospitalized there, on the 2nd floor, for 2 whole weeks. Besides the fact that he was in a hospital (and being poked every so often), he was very satisfied with the care provided, as am I. The Nurses and CNAs were very kind and caring. They went out of their way to make him as comfortable as possible. Athira, Audrey, Biri, and so many more were great, and cared well for my fathers wound. Doctors were great! Dr. Fontirrochi told us everything we NEEDED to hear, not what we wanted to hear, but what we needed to know. Dr Abanto and his assistant were so helpful and did everything they could, to try to keep his surgery, to a minimum (while still succesful). The tall lady (that always wears black) from woundcare, checked on us regularly. Housekeeping ladies were so polite and always kept his room very clean. Israel greeted me very cheerfully, every time we crossed paths (he often polished floors). And Monica (did his circulation test) and I shared a great, uplifting conversation, during my dads hour-long test. The dietary crew were smiley every time they brought his tray. OH, and shout out to the cook, my dad loved your food! The two security guards, at the entrance, were always very polite, and helpful. Overall, my dads stay in room 222, was great. We couldnt ask for a better place ♥︎

GHETTO!!!!!! If I could leave NO STAR I would. How do they not have AC in the middle of Texas summer. I went this week and it was hot, humid, and sticky. This isn’t the 1st time I’ve heard this about the ER. I don’t even understand how your staff can bare to stay there or let alone think because of how HOT and muggy it feels in there. I’m definitely telling friends and family to not go there.

S Texas Health Edinburg treated me for an ear infection while vacationing in the area. Visit was smooth, fast and friendly. The staff were professional and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

I had to have an MRI at Edinburg Regional today. Adrian and Aaron were most helpful and considerate. I really appreciated the attention they afforded me.

It’s been a while since I last stepped in to this hospital. But nursing staff used to care for patients. Now they all seem bothered when you ask for something. I spoke to a RN leader Alexis over the phone in regards to my mothers care and I’m sorry but where ever she was office or hallway there was a lot or background noise and laughing. She never excused herself and didn’t even help. Just wish they could be more understanding espero when you have a love one in the hospital.

Annette is the best nurse ever hands down. She makes you feel like you are at home. She is kind, loving, comforting, quick, thoughtful and a valuable asset to the hospital. She was very considerate, shared personal experience and made you feel at home. She is very loving and gives nurses the best name ever. I was greeted my many nurses but none as striking and welcoming as Annette. God made this lady a angel to work and oversee patient at this hospital. She makes u feel happy even when u r in outright agony and pain. She is selfless and loves her job. She constantly checked on me, helped me with my meals, getting up, changing going to restroom. No judgement on her part. She makes ypu enjoy the experience. No nurse compares to her. She deserves a raise and recognition as top nurse because that is what she is. The other nurses pale in comparison to.anette. she makes u grateful for your health and life. Im glad she took care of me because she made me feel safe in a covid environment. God bless Annette. Not understanding why I was left on hold for over 10 minutes being told someone would be right with me, only to hang up and call back and be told they were in the middle of a shift change. If you dont want to do your job because its too close to the end of your shift say so from the get go.

The admissions personnel and radiology team were wonderful! They processed me very quickly and then helped explain each step of what was going on while getting my MRI. Extremely awesome!!

Diana and Hector made my 12 year old son very comfortable and made him feel at ease while they took 6 tubes of blood. Both very friendly and professional.

I was referred by our Pediatrician for Lab testing because I was told here is quality, and it sure was! My son is a hardstick and Mrs.D.Treviño was able to get it at first try. The staff was very kind and caring, my son had no pain. Thank you for making it a good experience.

I want to acknowledge X-ray Department Tech Daniel Hernandez for such a wonderful attitude and professionalism. I had a scheduled Ultrasound procedure scheduled on June 4th, and he made sure everything went well and was able to get seen in timely manner.

I was taken to the ER by the ambulance, the paramedics had to ring the voice intercom in order to get in, it took a while for them to answer it and after they did we had to wait outside even more. I was feeling miserably bad, I realized right then and there it was the wrong place. After I got in they run different tests.. There was a clear lack of communication between the medical staff, I kept wondering myself if they knew what they were doing, the nurse busted my vein, they never figured out what was wrong, I had fever, lack of breath, diarrhea and feeling like I was gonna have a heart attack. They gave me iv and the minute I felt better they let me go and told me to follow up with my doctor, but obviously I was still sick. I got a huge bill even with insurance, for something they couldnt figure out.

Nurse practitioner Ivon was very rude. She basically wanted me to diagnose myself. Im 22 weeks pregnant with chest pain and hard time breathing. You don’t do that. Everyone else was so good all RN’s were prefect but her.

My experience at this hospital was great, my nurses and cnas were awesome specially my RN Ivonne from the 2nd floor, she was very kind, caring and worried about my health, thanks to nurses like Ivonne my stay was exceptionally great, thank you!!

Had a great experience at pedi Ed. They answered all my questions and had great bed side manner. The nurses go above and beyond ,great customer service.

Probably the worst experiences of my life there. Doctor was super rude and they dont care about patients. Had to go 3 times and they kept misdiagnosing me. All they cared about was rushing me out of there. My blood pressure was super high and with me being there for 4 hours only checked me one time. I came home and it was still super high. That is one of the biggest reasons why i quit working there. Being an employee and patient there is the worst!!!! They dont care about anyone just your money!!!! Probably the best thing is to avoid that hospital at all cost!!!

Extremely clean facility with compassionate staff. Women’s corner , OR staff , dr diagne , dietary staff and evs staff were all wonderful and made sure I was comfortable . Definitely recommend STHS Edinburg.

I was involved in a MVC & transported there. Upon arrival nurses, worked efficiently to attend me and check me for injuries, as I was treated as a trauma. Everything went smoothly & quickly. I’m thankful for the nurses and doctors on my case!

Im updating review to 4 stars. I wish I could remember doctors name but she was good. Here is some advice for the non-emergency ward. 1. know all your current medications or have a list down for a loved one. 2. It helps to fax medical records to the doctor if you feel they are relevant even if they dont ask for them 2. Write down questions you want to ask the doctor or nurse. 3. The specialists sometimes take 1-2 days to see you this really bites if in pain. 4. The nurses are semi friendly it really depends who you get. 5. You have to be your own or someones advocate 6. if you really feel it necessary and important, talk to the attending doctor not the nurse. I felt telling the nurse information did not get anything done. 7. You can appeal to insurance if you think they are releasing patient too fast.

Bad experience at the hospital, would not recommend this facility to anyone!

The Dr, Admitting Nurse, & Nurses we’re fantastic.A.j, & Casandra are amazing. They deserve a raise. They found what is wrong with me. C., assisted me to restroom, I am a wheelchair user, she opened the door going in & coming out, to make sure I was safe. I have been to this hospital before, and when I have issues, I prefer Edinburg Regional, over other hospitals in RGV. This event, solidified my opinion that they have the best care for patients, they were faster than other hospitals to give me care. I came to other hospital because Dr asked me too, & I waited 6:30 hours to be seen. I won’t put name but it’s on Dove and McColl. Lobby wasnt clean...we were there for 3 days no one clean the chairs or floors...ir was very dirty...people were Cameing in and out No One Clean.....No One....

The entire staff was wonderful. From the minute I got screened to my last day I was discharged. Super friendly staff. My nurses on the 4th floor Denisse, Maru, Ricky and Scarlet were super friendly and patient! My ER nurse Raven was super patient and tried to accommodate me knowing I had severe chest pains, she kept her cool and was the best. My Cna nurses were very helpful. Best staff I’ve had in an emergency room in a long time. I will tell everyone I know to go to this ER instead of any others from now on. My doctor was very informative and answered all questions as well. Despite the pain i was in, the entire staff was awesome.

Everyone was great from ED triage to discharge. Dr Torres in ED, Sarah a new nurse kept me informed. Dr Paula Martinez came by and admitted quickly. My room was clean and comfortable. Odalisse, Annalise, Tamicka, Demicka, Ashley and others I can’t remember all provided great care.

Absolutely amazing every staff member was polite they tend to your medical needs they ensure you have a comfortable stay they really do have heroes in there !! Keep up the amazing jobs

The billing process for this hospital is really fouled up, and they dont even know how to credit your account for payment. Theyve got about half a dozen or more different addresses/offices in different states connected with just billing you. Ive only been here once and Ive already had problems with patient billing, through no fault of my own.

Went to hospital due to a miscarriage. My nurse at postpartum was Annette she was very humble and was at my side all the time. She treated me like a daughter. I felt very sad because I was going through something so horrible and I couldn’t have my husband one at my side due to covid precautions.But she helped and made me feel comfortable. Hands down she is a very nice and a loving nurse. She was my angel when I needed one. Thank you Annette for all your love and support during my darkness night.

Absolutely horrible. I was discriminated and treated so poorly by my emergency RN Abigail Alfado. I was misdiagnosed and so poorly treated. Thankful I had a federal agent with me who documented what went on. Please save yourself mental anguish, legal fees and go to another hospital where they demonstrate high level of care.

I spent 7 days at the hospital, the staff and the doctors treated me with tender loving car. The food and personnel are very friendly and professional. The food and room I thought I was at Hotel Trump..very nice stay.....

I had an ultrasound guided biopsy on February 19, 2020 and have to say that Dr. Tan, Radiologist; Celina E (Ultrasound Technician); JJ (Registered Nurse); and Lisa O. (Radiology Technician) did an outstanding job. I appreciated their compassion and care of me during the biopsy. Dr. Tan kept asking me if I was doing alright every so often and would prepare when he was going to take another sample. In addition, Celina would gently touch my leg to re-assure me that I was doing good and going to be fine. That was the best care I had ever experienced and am so grateful and thankful for their professionalism, compassion of care. Thank you! They are all definitely an asset to the radiologist department and South Texas Health Systems (Edinburg Regional Medical Center).

I was there and had surgery about one ago. There is a nurse Carmen from Womans Corner. She is a very caring and nurturing nurse. She made me feel very comfortable and very attentive. Shes AWESOME!!! Also Veronica from admissions is very helpful and courteous!!! Thank you for all you do!!!☺

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Labor and delivery room had a good space to move around, yet post partum rooms were small and uncomfortablefor my partner to rest. Also, my experience with the annesteciologist wasnt good at all. I have an scoliosis, and epidural failed twice after he poke my back more than 20 times fishing for my spine. I understand scoliosis make it hard for annesteciologists, but for someone who claims has been in this position for over 25 years, I expected a good outcome. Needless to say, if you have an scoliosis like me, make sure you do your research and ask how much experience their annesteciologist has with epidural on scoliosis cases. Other than that, nurses and lactation consultant were very helpful and welcoming in all our needs.

I was admitted into this hospital and all i can say was a job well done was inroom 215 and especially all the nurses they made my stay 100% better . Thank you very much.

Went in to the emergency room, zero waiting time. I was admitted and stayed until I was healthy enough to leave, 6 days. The Doctors, nurses, and all other health professionals were very courteous and professional. I did not have any unnecessary test done. Only the ones to determine my diagnosis. Edinburg Hospital is an excellent hospital and I have already highly recommended it to my family and friends. **They welcome Veterans.

Dirty in plain pandemic, asked for a wipe and was told we had to wait.emergency nurses are rude to people who can barley walk.

Unfortunately my mom had a bacteria no one could detect. She went to 4 different clinics/hospitals and they all sent her home. I decided to take her here since her fever was too high. As soon as we got there everyone attended to my mom. The doctors here didnt give up on trying to find out what was wrong with my mom. They found the bacteria after running so many tests and started treating it right away. I am forever thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff here. Everyone here is very skilled, helpful, kind, and positive. I highly recommend them. Thank you for helping my mom get better and now having her home.

From the moment I checked in the staff was very polite and professional, once I was admitted inside to see the extend of the injury the nurses and the nurse Practitioner took action to control and stop anymore damage. I was very happy with the customer service and the medical care I was given by the staff at Edinburg regional, at the end again the nurse Practitioner was very knowledgeable and gave specific instructions on how maintain the injury clean. Thank you very much for all your hard work.

The staff in the ER, the doctors, the nurses and the technicians were excellent. They went beyond my expectations to provide excellent care to my mother and to answer my questions. In less than 2 hours from arriving at the ER, all labs and Radiology exams were completed and my mother was assigned a room. Edinburg Regional will always be my first choice when I or my family needs urgent medical attention. I thank everyone there for the care they gave to my mom.

The entire staff, from the emergency room to the surgical area to the medical rooms, was patient, gracious and kind. I was very impressed with response time and the level of care I received. The only reason I didnt give five stars is because of the amount of time after I was admitted that I had to remain in the er, due to unavailability off beds. As it turns out it wasnt the lack of space that caused it. It was the lack of staff. Im spite of the shortage, all the nurses, RNs, LVNs and CNAs, were professional and fantastic.

I entered the hospital in great pain from a small bowel blockage. The hospital was very concerned and took immediate action and took great care of me. The nurseing staff was very curtious and obliging to any of my needs. There were plenty of student nurses that trailed the RNs but I was fine with that. My only complaint was the comfort of the bed. I could not sleep well at all but I guess thats just the way hospital beds are. I am over all satisfied with my convalescence at this hospital.

Negative unpleasant rude egotistical staff ..

Considering you’re going in for surgery the intimidation and fear can really try to take over. I always pray and my prayers were answered from the front staff to my amazing nurse and doctor to the surgery team, they all helped me stay calm and confident taking that fear away. God blessed me by orchestrating this to be the hospital and I am so grateful to Dr. Otero and the whole team at Edinburg Regional!

To be honest it was the fact that it was expensive just to get a shot and some spray that really ruined my experience.

No one whats to be in the hospital but if you have to come to one let it be this one . The staff is extremely professional and helpful. A big thank you to one of my nurses Marina for being so charismatic and on point with my pain meds.She came by my room often to always make sure I was well. Overall a wonderful hospital with extraordinary staff.

A friend of mine had tried to go the restroom yet there was no automatic push button available for him to use as he ambulates in a wheel hair. My friend didn’t have the physical strength to move the door and he had fallen. Per ADA regulations, there should be more accommodations for those with physical conditions.

Great hospital! Staff is well trained, professional and friendly. My mom has been here 1 week now, and I can truly say, they have made her stay pleasant comfortable not only for her but our family as well. All procedures and/or any medications are well explained. Awesome place of care.

Hello there, I was admitted on 5/21 at 1AM a lady named KAT (maybe short for Catherine I wish I had gotten her full name) escorted me from children’s emergency room to adult she was SO nice and friendly and probably deserves a raise because customer service is key obviously I’m going to tell my whole family to start coming here cause wow very nice people but she was outstanding as well as a Mario Hernandez him I did ask the full name for me blankets cause I was cold super friendly didn’t get annoyed by my one million questions and very helpful also needs a raise the other staff was fine as well but these two individuals were awesome you need more like these very PATIENT and kind

I just delivered my baby on Wednesday at The Women’s Corner and have had hands-down the best experience. Every staff member that I have encountered has been extremely caring and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend The Women’s Corner to any expecting mothers.

My mother is very pleased with her experience at Edinburg Regional. From the front staff to Dr E, to the Radiology department. Janelly, Kassandra, and Maritza knew she was in a lot of pain and were extremely careful and efficient with her during her radiology exams. ER nurses Anselmo and his assistant were extremely nice and helpful. The staff went above and beyond for my mothers care. Thank you ERMC!

Had the best experience had a surgery very nervous but had the best nurse help me through it as if she new everything I was thinking. I would love to thank my nurse Joni who made it feel like a home hospitals need more like her very satisfied with my stay great surgeons.

I went in with shortness of breath due to covid . I was seen in a fairly time and the nurses reassured me that I was gonna be ok . They did xray n blood work and gave me meds . I thought I was gonna be there all day or days but no. Thank you to staff and all there Hard work. And prayers for the ones fighting for there lifes.. God Bless us All..
