Rooming and initial data collection and evaluation excellent.Assessment and recommendations options by Dr Holland continue the outstanding level of eye care and benefit this Corneal and Contact Lens specialty area office has established with me.In the past and again now options where available are presented and decisions made with my involvement. My vision has improved so much since visiting this office a few years ago.This after previously being visually handicapped. My experience has been sight and life changing. I highly recommend this center of excellence.

I went to the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota hoping to get a pair of multifocal contact lenses. The Doctor I saw in the past is retired. Dr. Holland and his staff are very nice and knowledgeable. He assured me that he would be able to make me a pair of lenses that would provide excellent vision. That did not turn out to be the case. The first 4 sets of lenses he made for me were so bad I couldnt drive home wearing them. the last 2 pairs were somewhat better, but he never came close to the quality and comfort of the lenses I already had. His lenses were not as comfortable and the fit caused glare, especially at night. His recommendation was to only wear the during the day. I had to prepay for the lenses, so now I have a set of lenses that are uncomfortable and difficult to wear. I am extremely disappointed that his early promises turned out to be false.

I was able to get a same-day appointment for an eye abrasion. I love this place. They are the best and most knowledgable about eye care and their friendly size means faster appointments, great client care, and more personalization.. Highly recommend them.

I visited the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute as a new patient today and my experience was phenomenal! After searching for new eye doctors across the metro, I came across this place and was actually able to schedule a next-day appointment for an annual eye exam and fitting for contacts. Everyone I interacted with during my appointment was incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. Huge shout out to Dr. Katie Schneider — she was wonderful to work with! She gave a thorough and comfortable exam, and was very patient and encouraging while teaching me how to use contact lenses for the first time! The office space and exam rooms are beautiful and state of the art too. I mean I’m definitely not familiar with the specifics of eye exam technology, but I could tell it was all new and nice quality! I was pleasantly surprised to not have to have the puff of air blown in my eye to measure eye pressure - it was a totally different machine with no discomfort! I am looking forward to my 2 week contact recheck with the team and continuing care with them in the future!

Ive been going to Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota for the past 3+ years after being diagnosed with Keratoconus. They took the time and were able to get me fitted into new contacts that made my quality of life better (not a hyperbole). I was continually frustrated with my vision using soft contacts and glasses. Those frustrations were resolved after I was properly fitted into scleral lenses and was finally able to see 20/20 with no distortion. I am grateful for the care and quality of vision I have thanks to the individuals as CCLIM.

I saw Dr Holland yesterday for the first time. I can tell he’s a smart dude and passionate about his profession. The staff was very kind to me very professional and the facility was clean and Covid friendly. Dr. Holland is outstanding. I had to have an eye procedure done - I’m not someone that has high tolerance for having my eyes poked, prodded, or touched, but he was incredibly patient with my natural reflexes and did a great job of explaining everything along the way. Really fortunate to have ended up with him for this issue.

The doctor and staff were great to work with! My doctor listened to my complete ocular history, and offered several options for scleral lenses. Looking forward to seeing again!

It was an eye emergency. I accidentally put in a contact that had just been soaked In hydrogen peroxide solution. Very painful. I was seen within an hour of calling. I was treated for the pain. And reassured there was no long term damage. As someone with Keratoconus this came as a huge relief. Thank you so much for your excellent care!

Dr Messer is amazing. She is very honest and up front with any issues and concerns and makes sure you understand everything. She honestly listens to what you have to say and takes a genuine interest in you rather than just a number on a chart. And she is always willing to help and find the right frames and lenses that work best for you not what is more expensive. I have already recommended her to friends as well.

Dr. Messer was very professional and answered all of my questions and I had many. I was having unusual challenges with my contacts and she was very helpful in narrowing down what wasn’t the problem so I can successfully wear my lens again. I am so grateful for her assistance. Would not recommend. The contacts I got are the wrong prescription and I cannot see clearly out of them at all. Mind you, this is after having several visits with the doctor in which it seemed as though with each pair of contacts he was making no change to them. I originally came here because they claim they help with Keratoconus management, this is not true. They seemed as if they barely knew much about the topic and act as if there wasnt much they could do for me except give me uncomfortable scleral contact lenses which you can get from any eye doctor. I also mentioned I had issues with dry eyes and was given no recommendations from the doctor, he simply only cared about getting me those expensive, uncomfortable scleral lenses. I did voice however, that I wanted soft lenses instead and he claimed I would see more clearly with hard lenses. That claim was completely wrong, I see worse with these lenses and they hurt. If you have Keratoconus or dry eyes dont come here their are other places that can give you the same care and are significantly cheaper. I will have to look into going to another place to get quality contacts that I can actually see out of. I will never go back here.

Dr. Messer is the best optometrist I’ve ever worked with. She is highly knowledgeable about vision correction and eye health for folks with keratoconus. I’ve never before had corrective lenses that are so comfortable and fit so well.

Dr. Holland is great! He’s very personable and is able to break things down on a level you’re able to understand. I have Keratoconus and had a very hard time getting fitted for lenses. I didn’t think it was possible for me to have great vision with scleral lenses, but Dr. Holland and his staff were able to get me fitted in just a couple visits. Now I wear my lenses everyday.

The name suggests special expertise, in my case they were no more helpful than the doctors at the mall. Quite a bit more expensive tho. Plus their billing was not efficient, a bill came out of the blue months later. Not happy.

I was particularly grateful to Pricilla for mentioning mucus fishing syndrome to me. I looked it up at home, and am making every effort to use the sterile solution Dr Messer gave me to wash out the mucus rather than fishing for a it. I hadnth realized how much I was touching my eyes. Thank you for all the samples and for being responsive to my concerns!

I dont wanna give them any points at all because they are not doing business with honest. This morning I called to ask about corneal refractive therapy.First the receptionist said theres a $100 charge for evaluation. After the evaluation, if we have insurance and wanna do it at the same day, the $100 charge will be deducted. After she found out I am not native speaker, she suddenly said that insurance will not cover the cost of corneal refractive therapy. I need to pay it all out of my pocket.In fact, the insurance covers portion of it which is not like what she said. I think this institute just wanna make more money regardless consumers feelings.

Like others that go to the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota, I too have some lets just say challenging eye issues (cornea ectasia - very similar to Keratoconus) stemming from LASIK nearly 20 years ago that have plagued me ever since. I first went here to see Dr. Jedlicka after my primary eye doctor retired. When he left, I thought I was in trouble but thankfully Dr. Messer is there and is just as passionate (maybe more) about helping people with eye issues! She tells it like it is, gives honest feedback, doesnt rush you, and shows compassion for people with vision issues. For anyone with complex and challenging vision issues, the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota is your best choice!

I have been seeing the doctors at this clinic for years even though I do not live in Minnesota anymore, theyre always accommodating and go out of their way to help with my vision issues, I have advanced keratoconus and struggled for years with lenses that did not work until I came to this clinic.
