My family and I were delighted to discover The Waters. It has been a wonderful home for my Dad post my Moms death. He has made new friends, enjoys the activities and the dining service is great. The staff is high ly capable, caring and always friendly. I would highly recommend.

We have been so pleased with every aspect of The Waters and their care for our Mom. They have been terrific at navigating the COVID epidemic with creativity. The entire staff from reception, to nurses, to activity coordinators, kitchen team and all are kind compassionate and full of contagious joy. We are most thankful

Home-like interior and caring staff, with low patient/staff ratios. Would want to have my family be cared for by a place like this.

We had the good fortune of moving my mother into The Waters in 2020 (in the middle of the pandemic surge!). Our family has been truly impressed with the Waters and everyone who works there. After 5 years of trying to get her to move here from out of town, my 90 year old mother is so happy at the Waters that she said she wished she’d done it five years ago. This is a huge endorsement! At a time when there were so may adjustments and protocols to establish in order to keep everyone safe, and the staff at the Waters made it all feel comfortable and seamless. After having to cancel so may of their community events and traditions, they really went out of their way to continue to celebrate, engage, and help residents feel connected. Even the way they rolled out the Covid vax process so smooth and fun for everyone. You’re team really goes the extra mile and it shows. I’m happy my mother is in good hands and has been given a new lease on life.I highly recommend this sunny happy place for loved ones needing to transition to a care facility that fosters a lot of independence. Its a beautiful facility operated by compassionate professionals. Thanks for all you do Waters of Edina! Lisa Fagan

My mother has been a resident at The Waters of Edina since May. She loves it there. I truly appreciate all they do. The leadership, managers of each functional area and the care teams are amazing. They honestly care about each resident and maximizing their experience at their facility. They are genuine, caring individuals and we could not be grateful for all they do. My Mom started in independent living and needed to transition to Memory Care in September. They helped make the transition go smoothly and ensured it was a positive experience for my Mom. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Wanted to say what wonderful experiences we have had eating in the dining room! The food is always great! The staff and Tammy are fantastic! We have had a couple of private parties in the restaurant, a birthday party and thanksgiving, Tammy and her staff did a great job making sure we had everything we needed and the food has always been great. We would recommend having a casual dinner or any special occasion here, it has always been nice.

I worked at The Waters from Last spring to this past March. I’d like to start this off by saying the assisted living management is amazing, but the dining room management, not so much. When I started it was honestly my dream job, being able to interact with the senior citizens was something i’ve always enjoyed. In the end they ended up firing me over me not being able to come in due to me being sick and the “real reason” was because of two majorly small issues that I was under the impression we had resolved. Toward the beginning of me working there when I had to call in, and even though I told them MULTIPLE times I had a fever, management still tried to make me come in with the excuse of “If you can’t find someone to cover your shifts you’ll have to come in” even though OSHA recommends not going back into work 24 hours after the fever has ended. I just didn’t feel comfortable serving the residents the same day i was sick. While I was working there I noticed some things I didn’t really agree with. Management wasn’t really respectful towards the residents, she were even so rude that one of the residents wanted to move out of the building, and when I went to say goodbye to her the day before she left, her exact words were “Thank you so much, you’ve been one of the only ones that have been nice to me”. The chefs sometimes would have us go back to the residents that ordered something off the menu and “tell them we didn’t have it” even though we definitely did have it, they just didn’t feel like making/cooking it. It really made me upset seeing the citizens I ended up getting close to getting treated like that inside of their ownhome. Many of the other servers i’ve talked to are gradually getting more and more upset over the management over-scheduling them among other things. Overall, The Waters is an amazing place for them to live, the only issue is the dining room and thats a big part of The Waters.

I wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how grateful my family and I are for all you did to get Mom & Dad settled at The Waters! We completed the move yesterday form the one bedroom to the larger two bedroom/ two bath unit. My folks were delighted with the extra room and the second bathroom. With the laundry service, the excellent food options (eat in or take out/delivery) and support services, my family is relieved that our folks are secure and contented.Again, we really appreciate all you did over the last five weeks to make our folks’ lives enjoyable, safe, and happy!

We can not say enough great things about The Waters of Edina. The moment we walked in to tour the facilities we fell in love with the community that our brother would become part of. Chris went out of her way with tours, answering questions and being an ear for us as we worked through the process. All staff goes the extra mile for residents and we were amazed at how the residents were called by name. So many offerings in a beautiful facility and bringing folks together to continue fellowship and care in an independent setting as they reach the golden years.

I worked at The Waters of Edina during 2019 and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. During my time there 2 employees were fired for slapping the same resident (on different occasions). The Waters did the correct thing in firing them however they neglected to file any sort of Vulnerable Adult report to the state (as required in such situations). They also did not report the RAs who committed the abuse. These two individuals are still out there working with no blemish on their record as if it never happened. They allowed one memory care resident to live in unsafe conditions (torn apart bathroom for repair) for over a month. There were other empty apartments they couldve moved her into but were more preoccupied with finding a new resident (new money) to sign a lease than they were with actually giving good care to an existing resident. They also have zero regard for ones experience in the industry.. advertising $14-17hr to start (based on experience) then offering someone 16yrs experience only $14hr. Just because youre new to town and desperately need a job to move your kids here too doesnt mean you shouldnt be paid based on your experience (as your job listing said would be).Now I see in job listings that they are hiring uncertified people with zero experience to be RAs. Id avoid this place like the plague. It needs to be shutdown and investigated. At The Waters of Edina, image is more important than care and all they want is your money.
