I have gotten blonde highlights for the past 8 years elsewhere. This is the first place that ever left me with brassy results. Friends and family have been, for the first time in my life, suggesting that I get my color corrected.Drita insisted on doing a glaze after I got my highlights which I was clearly not comfortable with and saw no reason for it. Now that it has been 2 months, I can very clearly see that Drita insisted on a glaze because she did not want me to see how bad of a job she had really done regarding color. It is quite orange and blends terribly. The glaze was temporary but sadly her mistake on my hair is permanent and I now have to find a good place to correct it.

I went in as a walk in today and was so happy to get an appointment with Tina. GREAT color and cut. So happy with the results. Also had a pedicure with Blanca while my color was processing. She was incredible. So happy I took a chance. Very happy with my visit.

Only person i trust with my color is Catt! she does an amazing job every time! I tell her what I am looking for and she makes it happen! it is fairly easy to get an appointment when you want, which is nice because I never decide until the week of!

Table was so dirty i felt disgusting to put my bag on, never go there. Save yourself

$200 for 2 haircuts without blow drying? I mean I have never paid this much money in Beverly Hills, CA or Paris for such a poor uneven haircut!Left the place with wet hair. They charge extra deposit due to covid but the place was so filthy.. The hairstylist who cut my mom’s hair didn’t even wash her hands after smoking cigarettes! No Thank You!

I’ve been wanting to get my hair done for a long time and I the lady that did my hair took advantage of me. We both agreed for a simple balayage and I showed her a picture. My hair didn’t come out like the picture and it looked exactly as my hair did when I started. They tried to make me pay $300.00 for a color job that was not like anything we agreed for. The people were disrespectful and snooty. Thank you Blu salon for ruining my dream of getting my hair done. Go here if you want to get ripped off and unsatisfied.

Drita does a great blow out, especially if you have thick hair. Just know she takes a long time & can be a talker so be prepared. But the hair looks amazing so...! Cat was an excellent and super helpful colorist. She got exactly what I was going for and it looks great. Nikki is a solid stylist who works really closely with you to give you the look you are aspiring to...and shes good people to boot.Heres what I dont love:1).Almost every time I leave a color session, I have stains on my forehead from the color. All it takes to get rid of it is soap, water & paying attention. I always ask and Im almost always told Im good but then get home and see really obvious stains. Wish everyone there would pay more attention to the details - thats a pet peeve of mine, especially when youre paying $110 for a single process root touch up and $55 for a blowout.2) You never know who youre gonna get at the front desk, a consummate and capable professional - like Steve or Tara - who is nice and friendly AND whom Id ask about services, or the annoying fast talker i got tonight who couldnt be more exasperated when asked them to repeat the mush they just said and whose advise about which services or stylists are right for me Id NEVER ask. The front desk is, to me, the most important job in a service business and I wish theyd be more consistent.

Salon was amazing from setting up the appointment to checking up after the fact. The stylist, Gil, was lovely to talk to and gave me an amazing haircut. He was incredibly detailed throughout the whole process which I had never seen from any other stylist Ive gone to! I will definitely be coming back!

For my first experience at this salon it was heaven.Everyone that work there is amazing and professional. thank God for Tina , she give me the look I wanted and needed. Great salon. I really have had a good experience with Tanya. She is great with haircuts. I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you are trying to grow your hair out. She wont cut it too short.

Get my hair cut by Diana for the last 2 years and I could not be happier. Highly recommend Blu salon and, in particular, Diana. Although I have not coloured my hair with her I hear she is fabulous, particularly if you would like to get creative!

Extremely disappointing. The manager treated me like she was doing me a favor by answering my questions regarding my highlights. One of the worst salon experiences I have ever encountered. Don’t bother going here, they don’t realize that they are in the customer service business. Spend your money in a place where you are valued as a customer

I love this salon. I had manicure, pedicure, blow dry, conditioner treatment, eyebrow wax and every time the service has been excellent. The ambiance is elegant but cozy and the professionals that work there are great.It is incredibly convenient to have such a high quality salon in Edgewater.

This is wonderful salon! I have always been thoroughly satisfied with both the service and atmosphere. I have curly hair so it can be a challenge to be completely satisfied with a cut. I always know that Lisette will do a good job. The bagels and coffee set aside for customers are also a treat!!

I love Blu Salon, very prompt, always on time, you never have to wait. They have awesome products, very healthy for your hair. Everyone is so friendly.I highly recommend Blu Salon, never a disappointment.

Hard to find the first time, during the week its an exceptable experience but on Saturdays its like a cattle call. It would be nice if they offered a cappuccino or something. It would be nice if they let customers borrow a hair dryer.

I have short hair and Nikki has been my savior for the past 7 years. I go every 1.5 -2 months and she is the absolute best. Blu Salon has been in my life for 14 years and is always a pleasure!!

I drive all the way from Connecticut every 4-5 weeks to get my color done here. That’s how amazing the salon is!! I haven’t found a salon anywhere that can do my blonde perfect every single time other than Blu! Thank you guys

HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE STAFF! Don’t let the location of the salon fool you... you can drive 5 minutes to West New York and be treated with dignity and respect for the half the price of their mediocre [psht... at best] work. Both my mother and I have been clients at Blu Salon for 20 years, never once have I personally had a welcoming or warm experience. 13 years ago I was crying over a hideous highlight job by Melinda, the owner, who is seemingly hardly at her shop or as is just as rude as the staff member i am about to discuss.About a week ago, my mother came in the salon and got her hair cut by Gil. And when I, as an artist, say this was the most hideous haircut i have ever seen on her in all my 26 years on this planet. Naturally, as any person spending a nice chunk of change would do, she came back and asked him to fix it. Long story short, Gil, this man who is not an owner but a staff member, has the AUDACITY to tell my mother to get out of his chair and leave the salon. Not like money is even the concern in this matter but to embarrass someone like that in front of an entire staff... at least say i’m going to contact my boss — I guess she is too busy doing who knows what to keep he staff in line — and see what we can do for you. My mother is traumatized as a result of this and I would be too. What a horrible thing to hear that my poor, sweet, kind mother went through. Never again will we step foot in Blu Salon. The only good staff member there is Jeff.And Melina, don’t bother calling us back. The disregard for customer service in your salon is a disgrace, and I am honestly embarrassed for you. I have been working in customer service in a successful family business for many, many years, and it seems you failed to teach your staff that the customer is always right. ALWAYS. The staff is very friendly but I’ve had some bad experiences having my hair dyed. The first time was not what I requested and it was very crunchy the next few days after having it done. Although I love the stylist, she’s so sweet.the second time to fix it (3 weeks later), as a courtesy they did not charge, except for blow drying.all the color washed out 2 days later after using the recommended shampoo except for a few random streaks.I was sincerely hoping this could be my go-to salon for hair coloring but i haven’t had much luck. Please keep in mind that the staff is truly kind and so try, I would recommend them for hair cuts, they are good and clean.

Great location at the Edgewater town center. Next to Mattress Firm and WholeFoods. The salon is very chic, modern, and clean. Customer service at the front desk is very welcoming. They have refreshments and goodies for the clients while you wait. Wax specialist- Lisa is great! Ive known her when she was at Elaines down the road. She is a sweetheart and an expert at waxing.

I just moved to this area, didnt know where to go for my haircut. Searched for a good one. Trusted the reviews of Blu Salon. Since I didnt know anyone there, I couldnt pick a stylist. Stylist named Drita ended up cutting, coloring my hair. I absolutely loved it. She was professional, kind and very knowledgeable of telling me the tips how to take care of my hair. I am definitely going back to Drita at Blu Salon!

I have been using Blu Salon for some time. I actually followed Stephanie there from her previously employer many years ago! Although I am partial to Stephanie, the few times I needed a cut desperately and she was unavailable, I was always happy with the haircut I got from the other stylists. Way classier than a barber shop, and a great place for a higher end mens haircut.

Krysta is a great hair stylist and has a good eye with color. The staff is very friendly and the salon has a nice atmosphere.

OVERPRICED FOR NO REASON. I understand the Real estate of their location is prime property but their services do NOT match the aesthetic. What you’re really paying for is their rent in Edgewater because talent is what they lack. My hairstylist I normally go to was out of town on the week of a big event I had to attend. I have brown hair with an ombré, I had asked them to brighten me up and trim my hair. Something that would have cost me 200 at MOST. To my surprise, the color was incredibly dull and the cut was mediocre. Horrible. Then they charge me 350 for the entire hairstyle that was awful and most certainly not worth more than a month payment of a new car. This place is disappointing and, I’ll say it again, OVERPRICED. Do yourselves a FAVOR, search for other places that won’t charge you an arm and a leg for hot garbage.

I have been going to blu salon for over nine years because of Lissette. She knows how to tame my numerous cow-licks and gives me the perfect short haircut. She understands, short and not too short!Karen gives the best manicures and pedicures!Because I have been coming here for so long the front desk has gone through some changes, now for the better! Daria and Christina keep the front desk humming!

Got my hair done here last year while I was pregnant and payed over $300 dollars for them to do something I hated to my hair and damage it completely. My hair was a beautiful bright blue that I got done @beautifulsexyhair. When removing the color they even said they wouldnt be able to do that bright blue (which should have been my first clue to leave) . My hair stylist was on vacation and I wanted my hair to be perfect for my babys gender reveal. I wanted a bright red that my hair stylist would be able to do very well but not here they bleached my hair a lot and when I left my hair was brown not red. Had to go back the next day for them to fix it and they just added a red shampoo and the color washed off that week. At the end of the day I didnt get my pictures taken for the gender reveal and spend so much money to have to cut all the bad parts they left of my hair. It has taken me a full year to get my hair back to being health again and will not recommend this place.

My initial experience with Blu salon was not great. My hair cut and hair color was far from what I showed in pictures and asked for. HOWEVER, the store manager went above and beyond to make sure that I did receive the hairstyle I wanted. She went out of her way, and personally fixed my hair for no charge. This is quality customer service, which I greatly appreciate. Yes Blu salon is a little pricey, but you will get every pennys worth in service and care. I am now a regular customer and so happy to have found this salon. I would highly recommend stylist Catt, if you have dark, thick hair. She completely gets hows to deal with ethnic hair types, and does an amazing ombre!

I frequent Blu whenever we are up at our northern NJ home. It is an incredibly professional full service salon and all the stylists and management do their very best to accomodate your particular needs and scheduling concerns. Lisette is my favorite as her haircuts are the absolute best; however, all the stylists do a fantastic job and I have comfortably used many of them. Im also very pleased with the Keratin treatments I get from Tina every spring which makes my hair so much more manageable during high summer humidity, particularly since we made our Florida home our primary residence.Blu uses and sells wonderful hair products, including the Kerastase line which only high quality salons have, and I always learn something new about a product that will help me manage my hair better when I am on my own. You can count on Blu salon for a hair consult, professional hair color, haircuts, styling etc. as well and their reasonable blow dry bar! I was referred to Ellaina by a friend and have since passed on her information to others. She was extremely helpful with a big transition I was making and I felt completely at ease with her. Whether she just trims my bangs or helps me make a huge change, her attention to detail is the same and the outcome is always spectacularThe shop in itself is very light and welcoming, you do not get that feeling of being judged as one does in other salons. Everyone from the front desk employees to the assistants and the hair dressers is welcoming and warm.
