This DDS does good work but my wife and I ran into a few issues we just could not overlook. First, I had an appointment and they thought I was 5 minutes late. They tried to cancel even though I was in the parking lot waiting for them to tell me to come in. Fast forward 6 months I am there for another cleaning. They had me wait for 45 minutes. This seems like a glaring double standard. Second, my insurance was being canceled and so I asked if they could move my appointment by two weeks in order to have it covered by my remaining coverage. They very quickly declined and said they could not move any appointments. As this was not their fault I understood. However, two weeks later they call me and say they have to push back my appointment because the dentist is going out of town. Again, a double standard. I decided to go in for another cleaning. After waiting for 25 minutes I was done. I told them this was highly unprofessional and I would be going somewhere else. They said it wasn’t their fault. The work they do is fine, the way they treat their customers is inexcusable.

Great dentist and staff. Friendly, pleasant and clean environment. Thankful we have a dentist of this caliber in our small town.

Dr. Dowdy is awesome! Hes always taken great care of my teeth. All of the hygienists, dental assistants and front office staff are awesome as well. Highly recommend this office.

Dr Dowdy and his entire staff are AWESOME!!! Had an Abscessed tooth alot of infection. Alot of pain. Dr Dowdy pulled tooth. Very little pain what so ever. If I ever have another issue. I have been going to Dr Dowdy since he opened his Eden office, Everyone there is so nice, helpful and caring.. Dr Dowdy is the best of the best. He is great at what he does and I have all the trust in the world in him. If you are looking for a good dentist, you must give him a try.

I highly recommend Dr. Dowdys office. I hadnt been to the dentist in years, and decided I should start going at least once a year again for regular check-ups and cleaning. Everything about the experience with Dr. Dowdys office was great: The office staff were really friendly,helpful, and efficient. Scheduling the appointment was no problem. I hardly waited at all when I got there. The hygenist was superb: she was really nice, seemed really knowledgeable and to care about what she was doing. After years of not going to the dentist, I had a lot of build-up, and she did a great job of cleaning my teeth, while somehow managing to keep it from hurting too much. She also let me know what she was doing before she did it, which makes me more comfortable. The dentist was nice, and shook my hand. He didnt waste any time, but definitely spent enough time to answer my questions and concerns; not rushed at all. The whole experience gave me confidence that I got and will get good care at that office. Also, I dont have dental insurance, so I paid cash, and the prices were affordable. Well done, I wont go anywhere else.Edit 2018 - I first wrote this review 7 years ago. I am still happily going to this office, and stand by my original review.

On this scale of 1 to 3 Dr. Dowdys office is a 10! The Dentist is as friendly, charming, and funny as they come! The entire office feel is just totally relaxed and it really puts you at ease. My teeth were retchedly dirty (Im ashamed to admit) but the hygenist did a fantastic job of cleaning them and making them whiter than I had seen them in ages! The receptionist is extremely patient and making an appointment is as simple as tieing your shoe! As for pain there is hardly any! The staff at Dr. Dowdys work place truly do their best to make sure your experience is comfortable, quick and enjoyable! As you can already tell I highly reccomend Dr. Dowdys office. I will be a life long patient there
