My counselor John and his intern Meg were amazing. I am a better person because of the love and support i received. The #TherapyDogs Dash and Reece made my sad days a bit brighter. Last but not least, Crystal cooked the food with love!

Absolutely helped me to pull my life out of the gutter. It helps if you are open to receiving help. A caring and kind staff put faith in me and allowed me space to find who i wanted to be in that moment while recovery and my newfound freedom began to shape ne into who would evolve into. Who Im continuing to evolve into. I cant say thank you enough. I love you Pride and i cant wait to come back and be part of the team!

Whitney, the head RN there is hands down one of the sweetest and most caring Healthcare professionals I have ever met. She is the glue that holds the therapeutic community together and her contribution to the community cannot be overstated. Thank you so much for all the help and kind words.

The program was nice and I loved the counselors! -BUT- one day I was pulled in and told I failed my UA for a particular substanced and was completely baffled as I hadn’t used. 500ng/Ml is the cut-off for this particular substance, and I was at 56, and then 7. They claimed these were both positives and kicked me out of the program without consulting a pharmacist, or contacting the lab for confirmatory testing. I took it upon myself to do both, the pharmacist explained that Family Nurse Practitioner doesn’t have the pharmacology knowledge to differentiate what can cause false postives which the PharmD identified several physiological factors specific to me as well as 3 medications that can show a small amount in a urinalysis. He explained that my levels were substantially lower than even an incidental exposure. I would have been discharged back to Rochester where I would have been homeless and back into the world I was trying to escape. I’ve had 4 overdoses in 4 months 2 of which required CPR, this was a matter of life or death for me. I was not given the benefit of the doubt even though I was doing extremely well in their program. They refused to refill my meds, some of which treat SLE, a chronic illness I’ve battled for a decade that’s brought me near death several times. I call LabCorp and they explained to me that my labs were greatly misread and were appalled. I wanted an apology, and have received none. There are other LGBT treatment centers that advocate for their patients, this is not one of them.

I cannot say enough good about Pride Institute, everyone there from Terri (CEO) down to the techs were amazing. I absolutely loved my time I spent here, and it changed my life in ways I haven’t even realized yet.

Seems like support staff and nursing are stressed all of the time. The first time back in 2018 it was great.. I went this year and left after a week.

This is the best LGBT treatment Center that Ive ever been to. Who have been a patient and graduate of Pride twice I recommend Pride to everyone and anyone Pride Institute is and will always be the best treatment center for ANY addiction recovery need!
