When they show up, they provide excellent care. But they habitually cancel, often without notification or rescheduling. They seem to have a staff retention issue, which is indicative of greater issues. If you are looking for homecare, i would advise to look elsewhere.
Im a current, soon to be ex-, client. Ive been with Almost Family around 7 weeks. In that time I had 3 times where the worker never showed and I received no call from the office or the worker. They have no backup plans. The communication is bad between the office and the worker. The client is just left to sit and wonder whats going on when no one shows up. They do not notify people when theres a problem. The client is expected to call and figure out whats going on.This kind of business is totally unacceptable when services are being provided to elderly and disabled people. I could excuse it if it happened only once or maybe even twice, but the third time is indicative of a BIG problem with the business.I would not recommend this service to anyone. Ever.
