Senior Living is a wonderful place to have your loved one, the residentsare happy and well cared for, the food is very good and the staff is WONDERFUL. Having a loved one locked in for COVID I couldnt haveasked for a better place for her to be, the residents were kept safe andthe staff did a great job of finding ways for them to connect with loved ones.Great place and people.

Mom has been a resident of Abington Manor at Morgan Hill for over 5 years. One of the best things about this has been her ability to age in place. They have a two building campus, one for “Senior Living” and the other is the “Memory Care Village.” So, as mom’s needs changed they have been able to offer an appropriate level of supervision on campus. Their accommodations have always been spacious in both their private and semi-private rooms. The staff that work in the activities program try their best to engage all of the residents. Their food services professionals take pride in the meals they provide to residents in the dining halls. The nursing and administrative staff work hard to maintain open lines of communication. The administrative support professionals who answer the phones and field the endless calls even go above and beyond to be of assistance whenever possible. Additionally there is a Physician on campus that has worked closely to address mom’s medical needs. He has always worked hard to maintain open communication and advocate for mom’s needs. There is a comprehensive program of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy on campus which is very convenient. The teams that provide services through this agency are caring and great communicators as well. The efforts of the housekeeping staff are noticeable, and it is obvious that they take pride in the appearance of both the common areas and individual resident rooms. They even have a lovely hairdresser that is available on campus! Finally, mom’s needs have just begun to require the services of Hospice. The hospice team has been a welcome addition to mom’s care team and work well with the facility. They have proven to be a valuable asset as mom’s needs seem to be ever changing. If you are looking for a place for your loved one I would not hesitate to encourage you to put Abington on your list of places to consider. It has been a good fit for us.

My mother lived at Abington Manor close to 9 years. I would not have wanted her to be anywhere else. My Mom was treated like family and she LOVED living here. I personally have worked in Long Term Skilled nursing facility for 27 years and know that Abington Manor is doing it right! They went above and beyond for the care of my mother! It was also nice when you came into the building the staff would know your name and you were treated with kindness. I would highly recommend this facility.

Our Mother lived at Abington Manor Senior Living for 7 joyful months before she passed away. The dedication, care and compassion of all of the staff were outstanding. We always were treated with respect and felt comfortable asking questions of any staff member at any time. The resident population is small enough, that every staff member knows all of the residents and their needs. The food services staff, activities staff, personal care staff and administration have always shown kindness to all of our family. We are happy that we chose Abington for our family.

My Mom is a resident in the memory care facility and I can say that she has been well taken care of, even during these trying times with the pandemic. There are members of the staff that are involved in her day to day care that go above and beyond. When she moved there, I had my doubts that theyd be able to get my Mom to go to meals and participate in activities, all which were crucial to her well being but they have been successful in doing that . Ive never witnessed anyone being treated badly or put into harms way. Is it perfect, no but they try very hard and address anything that you might bring to their attention. Taking care of these folks is very difficult. Im thankful they are there!

My father was in Abington Manor Memory Care Village and I have nothing but good things to say about this facility. He went from memory care, to palliative care and finally hospice care before passing away recently and, for my experience, the staff there were great. They made a incredibly sad time more bearable.

Horrible place. They continually allowed an old woman in a wheelchair to wheel herself onto the street, in the hot sun during the summer - on the road where a car could have hit her. The staff insisted it was okay, because she does that. No concern for her safety at all, she could have caused an accident or suffered heatstroke. I actually tried to explain this to a staff member and she accused me of overdramatizing the situation. Also the food is terrible and the staff did an absolute minimal job in keeping the residents rooms clean. Avoid at all costs if you have the slightest concern for the fate of your elders. Human life has no value here. Its not even cheap, they overcharge for rooms, which is why they actually had empty rooms here the last time I checked. Dont pay for garbage!I see that there has been a response to this review, and the response contains several errors. 1 - SHE WAS ON THE STREET. SHE WAS NOT IN A PROTECTED AREA. A CAR COULD HAVE HIT HER. This is not an exaggeration. She was in an area where cars could have hit her. I should have taken pictures. 2 - NO ONE WAS WATCHING HER. The staff was inside, she was outside. 3 - MY GRANDFATHER USED TO LIVE THERE, BERNARD LEONARD. CHECK YOUR RECORDS. He left after a few years because of the poor service. It is true that I have no experience in healthcare, but I know the basic rules of safety. You dont play in the street! If this person was in a protected area, they should post some pictures of this protected area and show that it actually exists! I am not denying that this facility has some good services, but that does not negate the danger that this woman was in!
