JDP has given me and everyone that has been a part of it the chance to do what they love in a positive, professional environment. The staff and educators are hardworking, kind, and so professional! They put their hearts and souls into making sure their students and casts truly shine in their performances. You can tell that each and everyone person truly cares and is excited to be there. I love being a part of this company and have met so many wonderful people and have done such amazing, high quality shows! JDP has let me grow as a performer in a safe, welcoming environment. I truly would recommend this company for anyone interested in either private lessons or stage productions!

JDP brings so much to East Providence. The shows are absolutely amazing and I enjoy seeing each and every one of them!

I am so proud to be one of JDPs volunteers, especially since the it is an organization where all the members of the executive team are women! They invest so much time and energy into making sure this theatre company runs efficiently, and it shows with each production they stage and with each event they hold.

Working with and for JDP as the dance captain for the company shows and as the choreographer for the childrens shows is an honor. I wouldve never thought that theatre was for me because I had always been a studio dancer and Ive always been really shy. But JDP is now something I cant live without. As an advanced dancer, they found a way to individually challenge me by making me dance captain & childrens show choreographer so that Im using different skills I havent used before in communication, leadership, and creativity. They make me feel safe, and Ive made some of my best friends there that Ill have for the rest of my life. The rehearsal process is really organized and smooth, the shows are amazing and Im proud to be in them every season!

JDP Theatre Co. is a tremendous asset to our RI community. JDP offers our youth access to theater and arts through engaging classes and the opportunity to perform in some amazing theatrical performances - Legally Blond? Cmon now!! To support our youth during this unique period of social distancing, they even offer FREE virtual conditioning classes. Notably, they continue to give back to others and are supporters of other nonprofits, such as the Audubon Society of RI.

JDP Theatre Co. is operated by three dynamic educators whose mission is to give children the opportunity to participate in professional, high quality community theater. They are extremely dedicated to ensuring that all children can participate. Their diverse programming is aimed to meet the varied interests of children of all ages and abilities. I’m proud to be a part of this organization and encourage the community to come see what they’re all about!

The staff at JDP Theatre Co have helped my daughter overcome her anxiety about being onstage after having had a terrible experience elsewhere. It is so wonderful to see her excited and proud smile from the stage! And its also great that their programming super affordable too. JDP Theatre is the best of the best! They offer a variety of classes that I havent seen offered at any other performing arts company, and they put on 3-4 top quality shows per year with the most affordable community theatre ticket prices in RI. The whole staff is wonderful and has a way of making you feel like youre in one big family... whether youre involved with a class or shows, or whether youre an audience member!

My daughter attended the Super hero summer camp this year. Since it’s such a strange time with COVID-19, I was apprehensive about sending her. However, the care and attention that Steph and her staff gave to all of the precautions made me feel at ease. They have gone above and beyond what I had expected. From daily temperature checks, to masks for all, to separate tables, to lots of hand washing, and craft supplies to mask breaks, they really take care of their campers and staff. My daughter LOVED all the games they played and tongue twisters they learned. She has made new friends and found a craft that she truly enjoys. I cannot recommend enough, the JDP Theatre program and it’s staff.

This company is SO cool! I joined some of the summer camps and it was so much fun.

JDP opened up the opportunity for theater for my 11 year old daughter. The company is top notch dedicated and awesome.
