I have only had great experiences at this practice. However I only go to the Patchogue office. It is closest to where I live. I just read many horrible reviews for the Port Jefferson office so I cannot speak for that office. The staff of ladies that sit at the front desk are kind and patient. No problems making appointments either. I have only been using the practice for a few years and will only see a woman. I was extremely happy with Dr Bernal (woman) but she left and I started using Dr Mindy Shaffran. I have had only wonderful experiences with her. I recently needed an emergency visit and called at 9am. Dr Shaffan happen to be working that day in Patchogue and I got an 11:15am appointment. I was in and out of the office within a half hour. She spend time explaining to me my problems and def did not rush me out of there. I did once recently have a long wait. Probably about 45 minutes after my appointment time. Yes I was annoyed. Others speak about long appointment wait times. Yes sometimes that does happen. This is not the only Drs office I have ever been to and have to wait. I wait longer going to my Orthopedist and other practices. I cannot speak for the other lady doctors there as I am very happy with Dr Shaffran.

Rude, going in for yearly and being told the whole time I have to loose weight get bypass surgery all the while getting cultures. Never went back

The wait time is short. The receptionist and nurses are polite and friendly. I can always come here and not hav to worry about a thing. The two doctors I hav intereacted with are knowledgable and friendly.

Have been going to Suffolk OBGYN for about ten years due to the convenience of their location to my house. Have been consistently unhappy with the wait time on the phone, the poor bedside manner of most doctors and nurses and the lack of follow through in general. Each office feels grimy as well. I have felt rushed out of the room for almost every appointment. Last year I was diagnosed with a condition that I had asked multiple doctors at this practice over the years if I could have and was told that it was in my head or they just did not seem interested in working with me to pursue answers. One doctor pushed his weight loss program instead of getting to the root of my weight gain, which was this medical condition. I recently went in with an issue during my annual and was told that I was fine and to use a certain medication. I got a second opinion a few days later because I was so uncomfortable, was diagnosed with a very clear medical issue through a test and was actually told that the medication Suffolk OBGYN gave me would have made my problem worse. It is very disheartening to have a group of doctors who collectively do not seem to care about following through with patients. They seem to only be concerned about seeing as many patients as possible in the shortest amount of time possible and doing tests to cover themselves from liability.

My insurance has gone digital. Pulled up my card on the mobile app. And they wouldnt accept it. I was finally able to pull my card for them to print. 13 mins. After my appointment time and they wouldnt see me. 13mins. Seriously. They are not friendly or helpful. Dont go here.

I had an appointment today and Dr. Shiffrin was so rude. I never met a doctor with such horrible bedside manners. I left there today crying bc she was so nasty and down right rude. I have been going this practice for many years and some of the doctors truly are amazing such as Dr. San Roman and Dr. Petraco. I am highly considering changing my practice bc of her. If you have an appointment with her for any kind of concern she doesn’t care just an FYI.

So awful I hate them DO NOT GO IF YOURE PREGNANT YOU WONT BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE RUDE STAFF
