Not a good experience from the start. Was given directions to the wrong building, apron arrival was told a referral was needed which was incorrect. My wife tried to give her ID and wasn’t taken. We find out at our Radiology appointment that her birth year was entered incorrectly and was sent away to get it corrected. Was told by the office to drive back to East Patchogue to correct their mistake which had to be done in person, also incorrect because there is a local office in Riverhead. Was told they will send another order to the Radiology office with the correct information without finding out which radiologist I had an appointment with. I take another day off of work to drive to the office in riverhead and have the information corrected, then drive to the radiologist to make sure they sent over the order and the information is correct, ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE INFORMATION IS STILL WRONG. They misspelled her name after all we went through, had to drive back to the riverhead office to have the information corrected again. All together 2 days off from work and $40 in gas money WASTED because an employee is unable to copy information off an ID correctly. My wife and I do not want to go back and now I need to find another Endocrinologist. Insurance companies and medical professionals have everything so confused no one knows who needs a referral or an authorization number for what and every appointment I make is compromised by a technicality or careless mistake that costs the patient and Family unnecessary time and money while the tests we need aren’t getting done.
