I have read the reviews and this is not the experience I had. I highly recommend this office. I recently switched as my previous doctors office was very difficult to make an appointment with the doctor you wanted and I did not like the staff. I called Medical Associates and I was able to get an appointment with no problem. Ana was absolutely professional and friendly. She was able to draw my blood with no problem even though Im a hard stick. Knowing that she is there I dont have to have a fear of having blood work done. Dr Dickinson is an excellent doctor. I have never had such a thorough exam. He took the time to talk to me and I didnt feel rushed like he had to get to his next patient. The girls at the front desk were polite. I was able to schedule my follow up appointment that works for my schedule. I am happy I found this medical practice and I am confident I made the right choice.

My first review was rather unfavorable although there are some new people in the reception area that are making a big difference. Dr. Dickinson is by far the best doctor. My family and I love him. He truly cares about your health and well being. Your not just a number here. He takes the time to get to know you. He has a great sense of humor and lovely bedside manner.

An absolute billing factory, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!I wish Id read and trusted the reviews on here before going. My wife had seen Dr. Dickinson at another practice and was generally happy so I decided to go to him for a physical. I was not told to fast prior to my visit, at which point the staff seemed puzzled that I wouldnt have just done that on my own (havent had a physical in quite some time). That meant I had to come back the following day to have blood drawn and then I was told I needed to come back for a follow up to get my results. For the following two visits I was told I needed to pay a copay. When I told them this was my annual physical which is required by law to be covered in full, I was told my physical happened on the first day, anything after that was an office visit and I was responsible for a copay. I later received a bill for a copay for the first visit also and was told they provided a service that wasnt preventative at and so I was responsible for it!When discussing with the office staff there was zero understanding or effort to clear up any possible issues. The attitude was simply pay us and get out.

What a pleasure to work with Dr. Carpentieri. Wait times were quite acceptable. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time. I love how she processes the medications that she is considering prescribing for me with me. I have been treated with respect and understanding each time I have gone to the office. I am feeling more and more comfortable each time I visit. Office staff has been helpful as well. Medical assistants were skilled at taking blood. I never felt it and had no bruise! I will continue to use Dr. Carpentieri as my new primary.

Got a bug bite on my hand call City MD for appointment was told 45 people in front of me. 5 hrs wait time..Call Doctors office and with in 2 hours go appointment.. Dr carpentieri is awesome and so is Stefanie he medical assistant

Absolutely the worst office staff. Incompetent is an understatement! They have no idea what theyre doing. They were supposed to send results for a presurgical clearance but never sent it. They dont answer their phones. They barely speak English. I would never recommend this practice! Trying to even get through to the corporate office is useless. No one answers there either.

I recently switched to this office because Dr Dickenson moved here from his other practice. I will say that the front desk and the hold times every SINGLE time you call them has made me look for another office. You can call them at 8am or 3pm and the average wait time is about 7-10 minutes and that’s on a good day. Its just ridiculous. They also do not let you get your blood results over the phone so you always have to go in to get them and pay a co-pay. They wont schedule your result appointment for almost two weeks after the blood is drawn. This practice is just not convenient nor helpful when it comes to the receptionists. I also had the same issue that others have had with getting tons of random tests done on my annual physical and then receiving a bill from my INS company saying they do not cover it because it was not needed. I wish I loved this office because the doctors are good but I cant get over the rest of the issues.

They dont even deserve one star. Average wait time on hold is 15 minutes. I call and am immediately put on hold. I dont know how you operate a medical office in this way. Im sure the doctors are reputable, but the front office is by far the worst I have ever encountered. Just when I thought it couldnt get any worse, I try calling the office today and I get the doctors answering service. When I tell them Im trying to get through for hours they tell me to keep trying, theres nothing they can do!!!!! Ill be looking for a new doctor.

If I could give 0 starts I would. I have never before experienced a more unprofessional medical staff in my life. Rude, unorganized and completely unhelpful. I am always patience especially with the current state of the world but they seriously take the cake. Love the doctor but cant deal with the unresponsiveness and just unwilling to answer my questions when I call. Tried calling 3 times because I could not find the office after they relocated. The receptionist was extremely rude, unhelpful and just repeated Patchogue-yaphank Rd and hung up- No S**T! When you finally get an appointment, you can see with your own eyes how they allow the phones to just ring and ring- so for those of you on hold purgatory- just know that others are sympathetic to your frustration. I wanted to reach over and answer the calls myself!! Will never go here again and will make sure to NOT recommend

What a joke you try to call no one picks up the phone they have the worst service at the front desk what is going on over there someone needs to look into this place

My physician moved from her practice to Medical Associates (MA) and I came with her. This practice rarely answers their phones and when they do they either dump my call or put me on hold forever. I have resorted to chatrooms with them on their website and this too is never answered. The front office staff wear their masks UNDER their nostrils. Not even my cardiologist can reach them for the results of my blood work. This place is a disaster.

Dr Dickinson, Has taken care of my horrible situation for many , many ,years.He is by far the most caring,educated and professional, Dr, I have.I dont know where I would be without him taken care of me He always gives you his all Thank you again Dr.D ...And Staff

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Had a 10:45 appointment and I was waiting to see the pulmonologist until 1:15 which at that point I decided to just leave. Asked to see a different pulmonologist but they only had the one. Very unprofessional wouldn’t recommend going here for anything.
