I have been going to SightMD for many years! I use Dr. McGuinness he is the best..I have recommended him to my friends over the years.The staff is so helpful as well as extremely nice!I also like that there is an audiologist in a side office to examine my hearing!Just a fabulous place with a professional staff!

I was helped very quickly, the staff was extremely professional and super helpful and the whole laser eye procedure was done very efficiently by Dr. McGinness. Destiny, Jamie, Katie and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

This was the first doctor’s office where I was taken in right on time. The exam was also more thorough than my previous eye exam.

I was going to be late and I called to let the office know. I was told if I was there by 11:35 you will be ok. We arrived at 11:30. We were told the doctor left on a lunch break and will be back in 1 hour. I told them I called. They said I could reschedule but it would be another week. My Moms sight was important to me so I said we would stay. 2 HOURS went by until the doctor decided to come back from lunch. No apology At all. My time is valuable but not to this practice. My moms eyes are important but not to this practice. I am sorry we picked this doctor to care for my mother. I hope he enjoyed his 2 hour lunch break. I don’t understand how a patient can wait for a long period of time in the waiting room to be see but when a patient does the right thing and calls the doctor thinks his 2 hour lunch break is more important than my Moms eyes.

I have going to Dr Mc Guinness for many years before Sight MD. My experience has always been pleasant and the staff is courteous, friendly and professional. Dr Mc Guinness is very informative explaining everything in detail and providing the best treatment for my condition.

Ive been to 2 different locations for SightMD and the one in East Patchogue was by far the best. I was in and out in 45 minutes but it moved so fast that It felt like 15 minutes. Im the impatient type but I tell you this was the most thorough but fastest appointment Ive ever had, anywhere! The only thing I would suggest is that I was actually seen by the Doctor and never knew she was a Dr because she called me into the room and explained everything she was doing but didnt introduce herself and I literally didnt know she was the Dr until I was checking out and saw her name on my script. She was amazing though!

If you have something in your eye dont waste time or money going anywhere else. The care and attention on my problem was some of the best service I had at a doctors office. Very HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I’ve been bringing my mom here for md injections. Dr. Marcus is very nice, however he always seems in a rush. This is surprising because the wait is so long, usually about 1.5 to 2 hours. At our last visit the restrooms were out of order which is a disaster when considering most of the patients seem to be over 70. I finally found the right person who let my mom use the employee bathroom. The staff here seems very young. They are professional, however they don’t seem to know how to treat the elderly and also seem rushed. They need to speak up, speak more slowly and look at the person they are speaking to. If you are asking a question, listen and acknowledge the answer. Getting a shot in the eye is frightening and some friendliness would go a long way to ease apprehension.

I had an emergency and was seen 1 hour after I called. Everyone in the office, especially the front desk staff was friendly, polite and helpful.

Great place. The staff was very helpful and efficient. The doctor made me feel at ease with clear and easy to understand language.

This was my first experience there and it was very pleasant. Everyone was very nice and professional. I was referred by CityMD and did not have an appointment, but they took me in right sassy did their testing. I was not there for hours and did not have to fill in a ton of paperwork. I did not currently have an eye Dr but after this experience they will be mine now. I appreciated how every person I interacted with was a pleasure. Thank you

I had been treated courteously at check in, by the staff & checking out, however I waited 1/2 hour past my appointment time to be seen by doctor.

Going to the eye doctor is very scary! The thought of anything about my eyes makes me uneasy. So, when I had an eye problem, I was so overwhelmed with fear, I did not want to call the doctor. Rebecca was AMAZING!! She calmed all my fears and she made me feel extremely comfortable. Rebecca made the entire doctor visit seamless. She was very intuitive, and she provided me with answers to all my questions!Rebecca’s initial exam called for me to have further testing and I needed an IV which instantly made my heart race. Rebecca assured me I was going to be in good hands with Julio - who does the IV portion of the exam! Rebecca told me he would be a sweetheart and will keep me laughing - and he did! We laughed and joked so much; Julio took my mind off of what was really going on. Before I knew it, the IV was in, then was out, and his part of the exam was over. I was back with Rebecca in no time! Thankyou Julio for taking good care of me and making sure I laughed and calmed my fears!!!In all, my eye issue was major but after Dr. Marcus explained my situation and provided the pathways to healing, I knew I was in good hands and the road to recovery was obtainable. He was highly informative and explained my situation in layman’s terms. I had a full understanding of my condition and what was needed to heal.In all, Rebecca, Julio, and Dr. Marcus were a great TRIO. I will always recommend their office if anyone is in need of an eye doctor! The entire staff from start to end was a pleasure!!My sincere appreciation to Rebecca!!! The staff are very friendly and accommodating from the time you make an appointment to the time you leave. Dr McGuiness performed my Lasek surgery 18 years ago. He made at ease then and still does the same today. He is highly professional and knowledgeable.

Ive been going to SightMD for Dr. Marcus for a few months and its been great. Dr. Marcus is a great doctor who takes the time to explain my issues and always answers my questions simply and clearly.But this review isnt about how much I appreciate Dr. Marcus and Megan (who helps me with my complicated insurance issues). This review is about the office staff.Theyve got a few locations around Suffolk and I went to this location yesterday. I had to also bring my 2 year old son with me, so I was nervous about how things would go. He ended up being well behaved but a big part of that goes to the help I got from the receptionists, technicians and office staff.They were friendly and chatted with him with every interaction (many people simply ignore kids). They also let me walk him around the lobby while I waited to be seen. That helped keep him interested the whole time and he even enjoyed himself. Though, maybe its because I have him one of their lollipops at the end of the visit.

The SightMd staff is the kindest...sweetest staff I have ever met. They actually made my experience enjoyable and not intimidating. Dr. Avni treated me as if I was his only patient. He was so cordial and calming. He answered all my questions and explained easily as to what I was experiencing. I felt so at ease. Overall, this was a great experience.

Quick, efficient and professional service.

This was my first time coming here. The staff was very helpful and nice. I was seen quickly and dr MCGuiness was good too. The only thing was I wish they offered the alternative to dilation. My old office had a machine that I think took a close up of your eye so no drops.

As my vision had deteriorated quickly, the staff at Sight MD was able to move my appointment up and get me seen quickly. Dr. McGuiness put me at ease with his understanding and care for my eyesight. Thank you all at Sight MD for all of your help!

I had my annual visit. It was good.

I was seen by Dr. Mcguiness who is always friendly and informative regarding my eye exam results. My girlfriend was seen by others in the practice with mixed results.

I like the time that that is spent determining your issue... a non-rushed examination.

Regarding the doctor and personnel i dont have complaints, but the wait time was ridiculous, waited nearly 2 hours to be seen and the staff admits that it’s always like that which is terrible
