I am here at this hospital with my mom who fell and hit her head. They did a ct scan at about 10:15am. It is now 2:50pm and we are still waiting for the results of the CT scan. My mom is not allowed to eat until the results of the scan can be viewed by a doctor. My mom is a diabetic. Now one of the nurses said they cannot find her ct scan. I will take my mom home now, and find a different hospital.The ER nurses are very kind and nice, so I gave the hospital one star.Follow up:They eventually found the ct scan and thankfully she was fine. We finally left the hospital at approx 4pm after she was given a meal. This was my experience, I hope it will be helpful to someone making a decision regarding care.

OK if you go to the 5th floor you will be treated with respect then the hospital 5* But the doctor requested for you to be transferred to the 2nd floor oure in trouble theyre horrible they treat you like garbage

This is the worse hospital Ive ever been to now. This hospital used to be much better than it is now.1. They misspelled my name even though my name is on my ID.2. The nurses BARELY checked on me.3. One nurse kept struggling to do blood work on me. She stick the needle in my arm 5x, aggressively. They dont care about your issues. They just want to collect the check.If you struggle to draw blood, YOU ARE NOT READY TO BE A NURSE.DO NOT THANK ME FOR MY FEEDBACK. I am VERY disappointed in this hospital and I am very DISAPPOINTED AT THE HAITIAN NURSES because Im Haitian and you people can do so much better.

Great caregivers at work! Unfortunately there are always bad apples who lack the care and compassion of most and it taints the vision. Overall the clinical team was amazing. I am especially happy to mention that nursing supervisor Desiree was exceptional! She gets 30 stars for going above and beyond!

I went to have my vaccine here. Anita was the best part of my visit at east orange hospital. She was very polite and warm. Explained things very patiently and always with a smile on her face. She asked all the necessary questions to make sure that everyone was safe and feeling informed about the whole process with each step.

I cant say enough good things about the staff and how well I was treated. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Thank you all so much ❤.

Good caring place nice staff i went for a Gynecologist yearly pap smear check up the dr was nice she had good eye contact while she was talking to me and explain things to me well but i didnt like when it took 3 hours for her to exam me and my second appointment it took the doctor 4 hours to telehealth me she didnt exactly call me on my appointment time the operator kept calling saying the dr will call me i was getting really aggravated with it and then she finally calls me and she forgot to send me birth controls to the pharmacy I would recommend this place for someone who have the patience to wait a long time but I probably wont be returning back to her next year i will probably go somewhere else! My personal opinion

Unclean rooms, lazy overnight staff. My husband was in pain all night Dr wasnt notified until morning when I spoke to him. I had to verbally check them regularly on my husband not being cared for. Never again. Were Beth Is real all the way now!

This hospital is the worst one I ever seen and been in first of all let’s talking about my scheduling my surgery there’s no people who helps out with any information to what’s being done they are very unprofessional and very disorganized they never answer phones they call you very late at night tell you abt something or they the same day to tell you need to come in abt something my worst experience ever now the day of the surgery they are rushing telling me that I needed to be there at 6:00am when the nurse said be there at 6:30 after surgery I went to a floor the worst rooms ever no tv in any of the room the rooms are hot very hot nobody comes in to check on you pain medication isn’t given like it should be there’s no drs on the floor and everything is they pages the dr like I been to three different hospitals here in Newark and never experience what I experience at East Orange hospital never again I would never refer anyone to that hospital

I had both my Moderna Covid-shots at EO General. From the telephone call to schedule the appointment to actually getting the shot, everyone I encountered was pleasant, courteous, and efficient. Best of all, at 86, I had no negative reaction, not even a sore arm!

This hospital is terrible. There are bugs flying in my food. The place is dirty & the nurses hve no compassion. Its also a communication barrier. This place needs to be shut down immediately. I wouldnt recommend anyone to go here.

4/19/21 at 8:28pm, I called the emergency room for my 67 yr old mother. She was experiencing pain on the left side of her head and she had elevated blood pressure readings. A woman answered the phone and I told her about my mother issues with detail, and she said “hold on”. I heard her speaking in the background to another staff member, who seem responsible for triage. She said “ there’s a man on the phone who said his mother’s blood pressure is high, blah blah blah”.Is this how you train your front staff to communicate emergencies to one another? It appears this woman is burnt-out from her job and needs to be re-assigned or even retired, but she definitely is not equipped for direct customer care.

Worst hospital in NJ. I be been there 5 times for pain in my back. They finally did tests and figured out the source. I be been on pain 3 months. Insane. They treat you like a prisoner and have no clue. Also Ive had a rash for a year and they keep giving me cream that dont work. No clue. Plus the building is falling apart. It rained and the ER flooded.

Joint Commission need to come through to this hospital. Whos the CEO? Whos in charge of the emergency room?Why are your scanners rusted?Why arent your blood pressure machines plugged in? I came to East Orange General Hospital a few weeks ago and had a great experience. Everyone that I came into contact with was excellent.

My friend suffers from bi polar and schizophrenia. She told me she wanted to go and get help so we came here. She wasnt having an episode of any type and walked into the ER. Once she went in the back they tried to strap her to the bed without incident. Of course she left after that. Horrific that someone can voluntarily seek help and get treated like that. Of course she left. She was even ready to admit if need be. They need to step it up.

During these challenging/COVID times, it is great to be able to have a hospital that cares about humans, not numbers. The experience that my family had with the COVID shots was top notch. We are all experiencing and out of the usual situation and the staff was not only professional, but made us feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. A smile makes a huge difference, and the nurses and doctors were there to support us. There was even one staff member walking around the waiting area asking us if we were doing fine and if there was anything that she could help us with. That is caring. Thank you EOGH. We will never forget.

Worst Hospital I have ever been too, the staff dont care about their patients. My friend was having a really bad pain on her kidney. And they literally made her wait in the Wait area while she was suffering in pain. She was screaming. For these type of issues they should take the patient right away but they gave a us a mean attitude. Do Not come here if you dying. Go somewhere else. Is not worth it. So rude, unprofessional, horrible experience.

This womens center dont care about their patients, its all about the money. They will leave you hanging like they did me. Ive been going to this center for almost 4yrs. I didnt know they didnt take my insurance anymore. I needed refills on my birth control and they left me hanging. They know I did my womanly exam 3mths ago and I would need refills. I was told by other womens center that I would have to do another exam in order to be prescribed my birth control.They are cold hearted people. I strongly dont recommend them.

Horrible hospital. I once went here when I was younger for a broken foot and they only gave me a splint. Recently my dad went here and they told him he just had high blood pressure and wasn’t doing anything so we took him to Beth Israel where we was told he had FLUID AROUND HIS HEART. My letter to the leadership team. “ I am currently a new patient at this hospital. I have sat in on focus groups in the past in an attempt to provide feedback to help this organization. I see that this has not helped. I am currently in a single room which I did request due to medical issues and sleeping concerns. I do not have television in my room. I do not have a telephone in my room. A staff member of the hospital even walked in and advise that at one point in time it was hot in here. My PCT advised me a hour ago that she would be back with a phone after locating the walk jack. I’m having to use my Personal phone for everything. I feel like I have been placed in a room to die. Apparently, this unit does have a secretary so calls aren’t answered because I called for my nurse approximate 20 min ago thank good I’m not in cardiac arrest. This is Amazing to me. I read your mission stated and would suggest you rewrite it. As soon as I’m able to be discharged I will be out. This is how people die. I understood no television last night but here is a new day and nothing. Also, I’m wondering do they plan on giving me my prescribed medication or as noted earlier they are kind of expensive so I want get my daily medication. This is not good. ”

This hospital needs to be majorly reviewed for patient negligence. They are not attentive to their patients needs, taking hours to respond to an inquiry and just blatantly ignored patients concerns! They do NOT adhere to doctor patient confidentiality, and you can hear them loudly talking about other patients business with no regard to privacy. Referring doctors and specialist who were not needed and was known that they were not needed, at this point i think they’re just trying to run up the hospital bill! We have workers lying about their positions claiming to be someone of higher power in the hospital when they’re only just a mere nurse. We WILL be taking down each and everyone of the nurses, doctors, fellows, and specialist who has dealt with and treated us unfairly and unjust and they will speak for their actions!

It was my first time going to this hospital. Aside from getting my test wrong. They had to make me wait for my results for 3 weeks. And charges me for it. I regret going to this hospital. Avoid this hospital. I dont post bad reviews, but i feel people should stay away.

First time and last time here. No communication with the family . Staff will have you sitting here all night. If you do ask they won’t tell. Not one time did the doctor greet us or come to us and ask any questions. Only one tech ***Theresa Acknowledge us the In the Er.

I had a same day surgery procedure done on one morning in March 2020. The hospital is well clean and pleasant atmosphere. All staff members from the patient intake lady to the nurses and surgery staff gave me pleasant, comfortable and professional experience .

My mother was admitted for a problem that we already knew information about and they blatantly ignored anything she had to say and don’t even answer her when she calls the nurse. She’s had to go to the nurse desk multiple times before she can even get anybody to attend to her.

This is by far the worst hospital. My aunt has called me all times of the day complaining of the nurses and assistants ignoring her and her call bell. She complains of the rooms being extremely too cold, not being served dinner and being neglected! Needs to be shut down.

Good hospital they are always take care of me even for my mental illness

I was admitted and stayed overnight after a successful procedure on July 9th, 2018. Abby was my night nurse and she made my stay very peaceful. The next morning Margaret took over and she picked up right where Abby left off and then she made sure I had a very pleasant day. They are professional, kindhearted, concerned sisters who are the epitome of what nurses should be.

They didn’t have hot water in the ICU for 2 months. They waited to fix it until they were sued.Terrible, terrible place

The staff very courteous and friendly would have given them five stars if not for the process they do of signing in and then waiting to get your vitals taken then only to have to sit and wait again before seeing the doctor. They really need to find a better way.

Ive been there on multiple accounts. Id understand if youre short staff one day... theres bad communication here or there, but it seems to be consistent. I went to pick up my mum, no one seems to know where she was and I had to wait an hour for a definite answer. The temperature seems very above average and it concerns me for sanitary reasons.Im not a nursing/medical profession, but I have the knowledge of one. And for starters the cleanliness of some of the rooms Ive visited were questionable. Ive never been so nervous for my mother and the fact that I saw her with a disgusted look on her face made it clear that it wasnt worth the trouble the sent her there.The next day I went to go visit, I had the run around to find her for discharge, somehow I was sent to the doctors office in another building. I finally got to her 45 minutes later with her rushing to leave. I asked about the nurse assisting her and she had no good comment. There was a patient looking anxious,yelling and pacing waiting for help from one of the nurses and it took 20 minutes for my mother to get a wheelchair--it was horrible. If not close it, please just do so major adjustments, Ill even work for you guys to make it better, but I will not feel safe in the hospital if I have to continuously wait for help or go on a hunt to find people there.

Terrible place to be omitted to.Lost dear friends there last year. Took staff almost a month and a half to groom and clean them. The ICU unit performed all types of unnecessary procedures on them. This hospital is only good for one thing and thats milking your insurance policy. I wouldnt send a wounded dog there.

I am new to the area. I had a bad allergic reaction and had to go to the emergency room. I was in and out in about an hour and a half! Samantha was so nice and patient! My experience was a lot better than I expected!

My mother was in this hospital for a week, and it was the worst experience weve ever had at a hospital. She started in the ER and was eventually admitted to the ICU. Overall, there was no sense of urgency among the staff. When she threw up blood in the ER, I seemed to be the only one to react. The aide took a long time to clean her up because she was too busy laughing and talking with another aide. The nurse took even longer to evaluate her because he was so busy.In the ICU, no one responded to the nurses bell, we had to go to the nurse station every time to have someone address concerns for my mom. Even then it was a long wait for someone to come to the room. The medical staff was so unprofessional. I saw an aide and maintenance worker play fighting and wrestling in the hallway outside of my moms room. The staff openly and loudly talked negatively about patients, visitors and their own coworkers in the middle of the hallway.My mom is bed bound and cannot go to the bathroom on her own. One evening, I got there and found her soaked in urine. It took over an hour for an aide to come change her after going to the nurse station multiple times to ask for assistance. When the aide came, she started to change my mom without closing the door or pulling the privacy curtain. My moms bed was closest to the door. I asked her to give my mother some privacy as people were walking back and forth in the hall. She shrugged her shoulders and said its mostly employees in the hallway. I told her thats irrelevant and closed the door myself.The doctors did not return my calls when I left messages asking for an update on my mother. The only time I spoke to them was when they were calling for consent to do a procedure and only then I was able to ask about her condition. I work during the day so by the time I went to see her in the evening, I was met with nurses who couldnt tell me much about her ongoing treatment plan. I was not made aware of her discharge either, I got a call from the nursing home one morning saying that she was back in their facility.

My husband, brother, dad, and I found this hospital to not only be very friendly and professional but also very organized and reputable in the Essex County area for emergency, and are very receptive to those who are not members of the military and are related to retired living service members and late service members of US Army, US Air-Force, US and State of Residencies National Guard.

Super unprofessional and unorganized. There was only one doctor on duty. Vivian was rude and told me to hurry up and get out after she gave me the dicharge papers. Chrystal , the midget looking lady refused to give out the names of the employees. All if the employees were rude and seemed as if they were upset that they had to show up for work. I will never come back for their services. As i sat down and listened, nurses didnt even know what proper precaution to take. It was a disaster. People dont waste your time going to east orange general hospital!

I had same day surgery here and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern the facility was, how pleasant and professional the personnel and how great the parking. Everyone from the receptionist to the in-take nurse and the anesthesiologist were all very knowledgeable and friendly.

I never knew that this hospital had such great doctors! The hospital seems up to date as far as technology. The only flaw that I experienced was the lack of parking for patients.

Staff is lazy and so concerned about what there co workers are not doing.instead of what they should be doing to make the patient comfortable and at ease with their illnes or personal issues. I have only ever had one good experience here. Its the closest, and I have asthma, which is the only reason I go.My aunt had a seizure, and I was the first to arrive at the hospital, and she was in a gown, but her parts were uncovered and the curtain was wide open.I had a nurse leave a syringe on the bed with me on two separate occasions.The staff can be rude, though not all of them.They literally wont let you leave to eat, but you go through triage and still wait up to three hours to be seen. Why? No one is doing anything. Then, when they finally decide you can eat something, its a half sandwich on stale, dry bread, with just turkey. What is that about?My father is a doctor, and I have been in many, many hospitals, even sitting in the nurses stations. Never have I seen such laxness and lack of empathy.I dont understand how this place continues to run, honestly.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff were pleasant and very efficient. I also received financial counseling from Euclyn Lambert. She was very pleasant and showed empathy. Euclyn was very thorough and patient with me. I can surely say that East Orange General Hospital provided me with holistic health care. Keep up the good work.

I always receive good care every time I come here. Way better than the UMDNJ in Newark plus I dont wait too long. Last time I came here was when I injured my knee in 2009.

For the most part your In and out of the emergency room not like UMDNJ where they take forever! And the nurses here are comforting. Didnt rate a 5 because the patients can be irate sometimes but its not the hospital fault. Also could be more cleaner..

Horribly supervised and very outdated this facility totally VIOLANTS the HIPPA ACT. My doctors name was Dr. RODRIGUEZ she was horrible and didn’t give me her name, she wore her badge inside her uniform I had to find out by asking other people. I’m honestly unsure if she was extremely over worked or another ‘nurse Jackie’ (DRUG USER), either way for your sake avoid her by all means. The x-ray tech was this older African guy, he wears glasses and has a bold spot in the middle of his head. He was very unhelpful and caused me to be in the ER an extra 2 hours because he decided to assume rather than follow the simple orders given to him. I can go on and on but overall this facility is OUTDATED, HORRIBLY SUPERVISED, DUSTY, I witnessed the Er workers bring another patient in my bedding area without changing the sheets after rapidly kicking me out and having me wait in the waiting area before they even gave me treatment. DR. RODRIGUEZ DEFINITELY SHOWED THE SIGNS OF A DRUG USER and if you still decide to go to this specific ER avoid her by all means there’s a tall red hair white guy who seemed quit professional and nurse Bridget a short Caribbean lady as well.

East Orange General Hospital is the worst. My mother was there for a week. She has a infection in her leg. The doctor with the horrible beside matters just walks in her hospital room and says you have to have surgery and walks out the room. Do even answer none of her questions. Than cancel the appointment later that night. The next morning my mom in pain and buzzing for the nurse which I dont come until two hours later says she cant have no food because she might have her surgery. Just left my mom with answers. Now that so call doctor dont want to do the surgery and told her to go to a wound clinic. And that they going to discharge her today or tomorrow. This hospital sucks. Why you still in business. Need to be shut down. I hope my mother sure the hell out of them. I will see about her doing that too.

I visited my cousin in the ICU. The female nurse (of African origin) was the meanest healthcare worker Ive ever met. She treated me like I was a crook walking down the street. She responded to me with dark suspicion. She pretended like I did not exist. She made me feel like I was safer in the hood than being in the ICU, and deep inside me, I felt like a piece of cow manure when she was done with me.The sad truth is, I was totally caught off guard with that treatment. Since that day, Ive been inquiring around about the quality of service at this hospital. Ive already done told at least 5 persons about my negative experience.If anyone from the hospital Administration reads this, I hope theyll pay a little attention to the bedside manners of some of those nurses that are on staff just collecting a paycheck but dont give a lick about the patients or their family members. Yall please do something about staff negative attitude.

I used to avoid this hospital but, my father got sick and we had not choice to bring him there. We had to bring my dad in because he wasn’t eating and just not his self. When we arrived to the emergency a nurse greeted by A nurse Debra Gutierrez but she said we can call her Debbie, she seen us before we were even in a room. She was kind and compassionate and wasted no time getting him cleaned and settled. She answered all of our questions and put our concerns at easy. I asked her to notify us of any changes and she took time out of her busy schedule to come get me and my sister in the waiting and and also brought us into a private area so we can talk. She told us the plan of care and what to expect. As many times I have came to this hospital I was extremely impressed with Themis nurses knowledge and respect and dignity she provided for my dad and family. She was just amazing especially when I seen her 2 days later in the room checking on my father, it brought me to tears.

Most of the Nurses in ICU are RUDE and all they do most of the time is talk and discuss Patients and Visitors. The best thing for ICU is Cody shes very nice. Other than that no no no

Zero stars for me..This is the worse hospital. About 7 years ago my dad died their because of the negligent activities from the nurses ... I hate this hospital because my dad and friends died here and my grandmother went to the ER not too long ago because she seems to want to have a minor stroke so she went there because it was the closest. I was hoping that they changed their ways after 7 years.They wouldn’t want anyone to stay with her overnight. We had to ask a supervisor a request to stay, they told us. where’s the supervisor??they don’t know I was sooooo hesitant and scared to even leave her without telling her cause she wanted me to stay but I left without telling her cause she was so scared herself and wanted me to stay meanwhile while on my way home I was calling the hospital to tell a nurse to hook at least a phone in her room to talk to a love one so she won’t panic they left me on hold for almost 1hr and 1/2 so I hung up and called back trying to get the same nurse I spoke to previously then another nurse answered and said they were hooking her up and switching rooms that’s why I was on the phone for so long so that wasn’t resolved cause they said they couldn’t do it then the very next early morning as soon as visiting hours began a family member went to go see my grandmother and she said that they were just hooking her up as if they just left her to die. I’ve seen and heard too many sad and devastating stories about the negligence of this hospital.. it’s not fair and not right too many deaths leading from negligent nurses that can be prevented in this hospital and we in the community have to say and do something about it because it’s just not fair

No option for zero stars? Do not go here unless you want to be in more pain or die. This hospital will be shut down soon just like Irvington General. Take the extra time and go to ST. BARNABAS. Youve been warned. Who ever gave this hospital 5 stars are the people who works there.

The customer service all around is awful. The only saving grace that this establishment have is the location otherwise it would have been shut down years ago. Its filthy (the walls, linen, bathrooms, beds, chairs...) also...that alone is a huge issue for caring for the sick.

I had SDS on Aug 2nd, the care I received was over and beyond great service. As a patient my nurses was the Best, they catered to my ever need and I truly appreciated all the care from the entire team. Thank you, East Orange General Hospital you Rock!!!!!

This is a horrible hospital, when your feeling bad already you want to feel assured that your health is in good hands NOT HERE they treat you as if your a bother not as if your their priority and without patients who would need them. Dont go here theyll just elevate your blood pressure and that will be one more thing youll have to worry about. HORRIBLE HOSPITAL DONT GO!!!!!!

I had several visits to The Women Health Center and Family Health Center. The treatment was awesome. The staff are so welcoming. My primary physician Dr. Beaubrun was very opened and not judgmental. She listen to all my concerns and was able to answer all my questions. My GYN visit was equally awesome. She (Lakeia Johnson PA) explained every step as she was doing the examine. I can truly say I have found my home for my health. In addition, I had to do a test in the radiology department. I was so nervous about getting a male tech. But he was able to calm me down as he was doing the test and made me feel comfortable. Please forgive me as I dont remember his name.

I have a bill to pay and I cant even reach the billing department. Everytime I call they tell me no one is there or I wait along time call back just for them to tell me that person who works there is out to lunch or call back. Its been a week and a half. Very bad

East Orange has gotten its act together. The new Drs are competent, the staff are courteous and I love the family atmosphere they have managed to create.

Be guided by this posting. VERY SAD SITUATION!!!!On July , 2019, I brought a 86 year old retiree who was in excruciating pain to the Radiology department for an X-Ray. His Insurance is MCN Aetna/Medicare for New Jersey State (State Employee) Retirees.The individual conducting the registration informed us that East Orange General Hospital does not take Aetna Medicare and denied him service. I was astonished! I reached out to Aetna and explained what their patient had just experienced; they too were in disbelief. Only 3 hospitals were on their list as non-participant and EOG hospital was NOT one of them.To this end, a grievance has been filed on this hospital: (1) Not rendering service to the patient and (2) Not on their list as non-participant of insurance.STAY TUNED!!!

Earlier I went to this hospital for abdominal pain I informed them I was 3 months pregnant all they did was take pee and say I’m pregnant I told them I already know that’s why I’m here I shouldn’t be having pain he then says go to ya ob on my discharge papers is say I was given a untra sound in which I sat for 2: hours and 30 mins being discharged at 3 inna morning with nothing being done not even a ultrasound to make sure the baby was good

This hospital is the best one ever especially for those disable patients and other patients too.

DRS AND NURSES AND OTHER STAFF MEMBERS ARE CARING HAVE A LOT OF PATIENCE THEY WORK TOGETHER TO ASSIST ONE ANOTHER AND PATIENTS WHO NEED THEIR HELP ...THEY SMILE THEY TALK DIRECTLY TO THEIR PATIENTS WITH CONCERN THEY ASK QUESTIONS ASSOCIATIED TO THE PATIENTS WELL BEING WHILE LOOKING IN THE PATIENTS EYES .THEY DONT DROP WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH ONE PATIENT UNTIL THEY HAVE COMPLETED THE CARE SESSION FOR THAT ONE TO TEND TO ANOTHER. IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS THEY JOIN TOGETHER AND WORK TOGETHER. COURTEOUS ENGAGING AND PASSION . 5 STAR ....AND THEY SAY WE TRY !!! NO!!! THEY *DO !!! IVE HEARD HORRIBLE STORIES ABOUT THIS HOSPITAL. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME GOING HERE AT THE WOMENS HEALTH CENTER AND SO FAR I LOVE IT. THE HOSPITAL IS VERY CLEAN. THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. IVE NEVER HAD TO STAY OVERNIGHT BUT IM HAVING SURGERY ON MONDAY APRIL 8 2019. IM EXTREMELY NERVOUS BECAUSE EVERYONE TOLD ME THEY ARE NOT A GREAT HOSPITAL FOR SURGERY. Lakeia Johnson is my doctor in OBGYN SHE IS SO SWEET AND VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. My surgeon name dr farres was amazing....I CANT REMEMBER EVERYONES NAME BUT THE ENTIRE EOGH STAFF WAS AMAZING...IF U HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE IN THE PAST PLEASE VISIT TODAY AND I GUARANTEE U WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND AND THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS NEWLY RENOVATED FACILITY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL STAFF...THANKS FOR TAKING CARE OF ME.

JUST LEFT THIS PLACE WITHOUT BEING SEEN...IT WAS VERY NASTY THE LINEN WAS DIRTY, FLOOR WAS NASTY, BATHROOMS HAD PISS. ON THE TOILET AND FLOOR..IT SMELLED LIKE SEWAGE... THE NURSES AND DR WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL... I SAY SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY!! ZERO STARS WOULD BE BEST

The worst hospital that Ive ever been too. Unfortunately, I passed out in East Orange, and from the unprofessional EMT who wanted to argue whether my daughter told dispatch that I couldnt walk, to the rude nurses-lets see: there was the one who pretty much called me an addict, the same one who shoved a bed pan under me, let urine run all over than rolled a pad under me still thinking that I was supposed to sit in it, to the rude X-Ray tech who told me to wait when I said that I had to use the bathroom. The misdiagnosis. Just EVERYTHING. Its filthy, but its not the hospitals fault. Well stand for anything, and they know it. I only frequent St. Barnabas. You all can have that nasty cesspool.

Worst hospital ever!!! The nurses are absolutely rude and incompetent. They care very little about their patients, give attitude and faces when asked questions. My father had a 104 fever and the nurse says you have a fever sir with an attitude, 40 minutes had passed and no sign of the nurse or any medication to relieve the fever. Never in my entire 25 years of living have I encountered such heartless, rude , insensitive medical staff !!!!!! This place needs to be shut down!!!! I guess being ghetto and rude is a pre requisite so work at the east orange general hospital !!!

TERRIBLE JUST GO TO ST MICHAELS IF U HAVE A EMERGENCY IM SUPRISED THAT THEY STILL IN OPERATION

The nurses take forever to see you, the technicians are rude. I got a $7000 bill for them to tell me go see my primary doctor. With no perception or blood work just a bill.

My visits have been for testing and the staff at the registration desk are very pleasant and knowledgeable of their job and helpful

I can see the change at this hospital. The new ownership has done a nice job transforming the facility, and my medical care was great.
