While others may complain, I always praise Jesus for another day of life. Praying for every department to work cohesively. I believe ones betterment has to do with perception. One must be grateful for the service they get. Health and healing go hand in hand. Praise the Lord for every department head and personnel. Thank you Jesus for restoratIon. Blessings!

The head D.O.N of this institution is extremely unprofessional and lacks work ethic. She is never in the building working. The assistant D.O.N is the one completing her work without recognition. During these uncertain times and quarantine, she brings her grandchild with her to work. This is a nursing home filled with peoples loved ones who are sick. Why would you bring a child into a nursing home, where people have been exposed to Covid? People are dying and the head D.O.N is baby sitting. Either the leaders in this establishment have turned a blind eye or they are ignorant to what she is doing.

Windsor Gardens of East Orange is an amazing place. My family member had been in some very bad places in the past. Your East Orange facility has a staff that is beyond attentive to his needs and ours. Everyone there from maintenance, to the front desk, the Administration Office, the Finance Office, the Social Workers, the Aides, the woman who help with events for everyone there, the Nurses, the Doctors have gone beyond what I could ever imagine to support and help. The respect that I see given to the residence there is so loving. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and acknowledgement of being there. I love everyone of them there. I personally make sure that I tell them thankyou for everything they do. Thankyou again for taking such loving care of my family member

Terrible staff and in my opinion, not very knowledgeable in health care. Despite asking all the right questions, they would not be fully honest about my loved ones diagnosis and plan of care. Subsequently, my loved one suffered an additional health crisis while under their care and it wasnt noted until a week later by a specialist in Trauma at a local hospital. I told the nurses everyday that my loved one was getting worse and I was ignored until it was too late. Please never utilize this facility. They also have no regard for patient privacy and HIPAA laws

I toured this facility with a focus on the Vent/Trach and wound care services. The unit was relatively clean and private. I was reassured about there wound care capabilities because of prior experience with Wound Care Doctor at another facility. I gave 2 stars because the Admissions staff was professional and courteous. However this urban site does not provide Security for staff or residents. This communicates that management does not value the personal safety of staff or residents nor their personal property. This is a unacceptable corporate decision and not a place that I would work or place my love one.

My Uncle was a patient at Windsor Gardens before his passing earlier this year. He was living with me but I could no longer provide him with the care he needed at home, I was hesitant about placing him in a nursing home but when I visited the facility and met some of the staff I felt a bit more at ease. Upon visiting the facility I did notice that it is in need of a facelift; you can tell its an older building-paint job, wall paper maybe even updated decorations would bring a different feel to the facility. When my Uncle was first admitted to the facility he was on the third floor (if my memory serves me correct). This floor is probably the only floor that has been updated; it has a much different feel and look compared to the other floors. The staff was very nice and informative, I was able to visit with my Uncle early in the morning and late at night due to my work schedule and was always greeted very kindly when staff entered and exited my Uncles room. Working in healthcare myself I understand that in a facility like Windsor staffing is short but they did the best that they could with what their given. My one concern that I did have while my Uncle was at Windsor was addressed in the care conference that was scheduled with the team.No place is perfect and I think its the last resort for us to place our loved ones in the nursing home but Windsor care partners made my Uncle feel at home and comfortable during the last days of his life. Even when he passed away they assisted in helping us call the funeral home and provided myself and my family with all the information we needed during our trying time. I continue to donate clothing to Windsor as I built a great rapport with staff and even some of the patients. Although Windsor is not in an ideal location the care and compassion is clearly there. Thank You Windsor!

My step brother was admitted here. I bought him a new house coat, pajamas and two packs of new T-shirts and a blanket from home. I have never seen him with the pajamas on and I doubt he even wore the house coat because he never gets out of the bed. All are missing, including the blanket, and have been replaced with two dingy t-shirts and nursing home pants. His name was on the tags in the clothes. He has also lost most if his weight since he has been there and is always thirsty when I or anyone else visits him.

New hire McNeil Cadet as Regional Activities Director, replacing Ricky Pena after 14 years, was a TOTAL DISASTER and a slap in the face to all the centers he oversee. As a vendor, I provided the NLE Group since 2015 to several Windsor sites. My group was a phenomenal success and was well attended. I incorporated the Spiritual Dimension into a therapeutic milieu for a wonderful clinical setting that allowed ADL skills to be utilized to access cognitive, behavioral and spirituality. I provided a DAP note for the institution for quality assurance. My fee was below market rate so that the agencies could fit it into their budgets. I reached out to Mr. Cadet to assist with back payments. His response was horrific. His tone was unprofessional and demeaning. Im sure not representative of the the Windsor Gardens I know. Speculation at the sites is corporate send him in to do their dirty work and to decrease the budgets across the line, spearing none. If that was the intent? - It worked! He single-handedly destroyed the infrastructures of many recreation/activity departments across the state in record time. My only concern is the residents. My group bonded with the residents - many of which Ive known for over 5 years. They never failed to attend the group and I never failed to attend. I am saddened by Mr. McNeils poor conduct. Hes in the wrong position and I dare say the wrong field of business. Im sure you will receive many reports on this new hire. Dr. Willie Moody, MPH, CPRP

They let my father die. Didnt even call me when he was in respiratory distress. They waited until he died to call me. They should have called the ambulance.I had a 17 month old, no licence to drive and had to work. It wasnt easy for me to visit everyday. So my advice to you is that if you think youre not going to be a frequent visitor, dont put your loved one there. The care just wont be the same unfortunately.

The facility is clean the food looks good. All the staff seem to be nice polite and caring except some of the CNAs. They dont seem to know that the residents need to be cleaned up daily. And before 3pm in the afternoon!Being clean make one feel so much better. How could one not know that! One CNA fed her patient before she washed her face and brushed her teeth!!! Im pretty darn sure she (CNA) showered and brushed her teeth before her breakfast that morning! Windsor Gardens may have a daily schedule regarding daily hygiene for their residents that the CNAs should follow. Sadly daily hygiene is NOT being practiced at WG.Whos job is it to pay attention to the daily care of the residents?
