I just met with Dr. Hoisington for the first time. She was sweet & genuine. She spent a good hour & a half with me and did not seemed concerned about the time at all. She listened thoroughly and provided advice and recommendations based on her own personal health challenges and experiences. She was extremely knowledgable. I feel comfortable & confident that she will help me resolve my thyroid symptoms.

I am 77. She is the best doctor I have ever had. Thorough and understanding. Her motivation is a major factor in my having good blood sugar numbers.

Ive been to other Endocrinologist, who werent as good as Dr. Hoisington. This doctor spent a great amount of time with me, and listened to my every concern. Shes awesome! The front office staff could use a warmer touch, but theyre on the ball with my paperwork. Staff will refuse you an appointment and it should NOT be their call. Also, there should be lab work done every three months before a yearly appt to make sure the patient isnt having any issues before there is a bigger problem!

The last time I saw Dr. Hoisington, the staff forgot to give my pump back to me (they take it when you come in to upload your history for Dr. Hosington to review). It was during my finals week so I had a lot on my mind and walked out of the office without my pump. My appointment was one of the last of the day so when I got home and realized I didnt have my pump, the office was closed. What completely blows my mind is the fact that none of the office staff saw a pump left behind. The way that the situation was handled afterwords by the staff is 100% unacceptable. I was made to feel like it was my fault and was told that the woman asked me if I had my pump at checkout. Obviously if she did I misunderstood the question but I have no memory of her asking me if I got it back. A pump is a diabetics LIFE. If I dont have my pump on me, I will die. Im 21 years old, I make mistakes, yes I should have realized I didnt have my pump the second I walked out, but like I said, it was finals week, Im 21 years old, I have type one diabetes, I have quite a few things to worry about. I think I should be able to rely on my Endocrinologists office to make sure their patients have their pumps back before everyone leaves the office. Thank god I had an extra pump at my parents house or I wouldve had to go to the hospital. I would not be writing this review had the office staff handled the situation better. When I went in to the office, a front desk woman made me feel like a complete idiot for forgetting it as if I was overreacting about a phone or a wallet. This pump is my life. Its not a situation to be taken lightly. I was told their front desk supervisor/human resources/whomever deals with patient issues would call me, its been a month and no one has called. I shouldnt have to worry about this type of thing, but the service the front-desk gave me was absolutely disrespectful and makes me never want to step foot in there again.

The waiting was too long-over an hour, she dont spend a lot of time with patients. She should have the blood work done before the appointment time, that would save a lot of time for the patient and the dr. The form they have you fill out when you wait should be deleted because they dont look at it or talk to you about it. Filling out medicaitons on the form is a waste of time because she was the one who prescribed the medications and it is on the computer medical record. I feel as if she is very unprofessional. I have made requests regarding medications and she agrees to try it, sort of like she might consider trying anything you want to. She says she will call in a medication but it takes at least two times of seeing her to get them filled. The staff is very unprofessional, slow, and rude.
