He told me to put my splint in the microwave and that people find it soothing well it melted my splint. I called twice to schedule surgery both times I was not put on hold but they set the phone down so I could hear everything in the office. When it comes time for me to have my surgery they tell me they never scheduled me despite being told they have. I currently still have a broken hand that may never heal properly. I am heartbroken they way I was treated.

My son was referred there by the Urgent Care and I took my follow-up visit elsewhere after my first visit to this center. The nurses (or may be they were medical assistants?) were wearing masks with sequins on them, fashionable yes, not the type that I would prefer to see in a doctors office. When it was time for an x-ray, the assistant did not put protective cover on my son (I had to remind her), she did not ask me whether I was pregnant (to check whether it would be safe for me to be in the room), or she did not close the door of the room--I left the room when she looked like she was ready for the x-ray. When I asked for a copy of the image, they said that their printer did not have any paper on it, so they suggested that I took a picture of the image with my phone. Oh, did I mention that before the visit I was asked to fill out all the paperwork online, which I sent it to a non-working email (that was on their website), called them for an alternative email, sent the documents again, only to find out when I went there that they could not open/print the documents so could I please fill out all the paperwork again? Well, the waiting room was so crowded that at least I had time to re-do all the paperwork, while waiting in my car and trying to entertain my son at the same time (since it took us about 30-40 minutes to be seen.)

I am a person who complains and almost never takes the identity of a victim, but I felt obligated to write this review as a public service.The first visit as a new patient I waited in the lobby for 2 hours to be seen after my 10am appointment, it seems there were many other patients scheduled that morning that also waiting. After a brief questionaire from one of the staff members, the doctor was clearly in hurry as he quickly examined my hand as I had a large oak foreign body embedded in my right hand. He scheduled surgury for the following week.Two days After the first sugury was when I was instructed to change my bandages, only to find stiches and insision from the surgury was an absolute hack job, and to make matters worse - not only did they not retrieve the oak splinter, but lodged it further into my hand. I requested an appointment but recieved no call back as I was told by the staff member who answered the phone to wait for my scheduled follow up appointment., I was In the ER for an infection that developed the following week. I had a second surgury the following day by the same doctor, to which I felt I was an inconvienence, although I refrained from negative remarks because I just wanted my hand fixed.2 days after the second surgury. I went back to the hand center for an appointment to change the bandages. The staff was very dismissive when I complained of still feeling this piece of oak still in my hand. This time I only waited an hour past my appointment time to be seen. They wrapped my hand and even gave me the rest of the roll in case I needed it.The following day I had wiped my forehead on accedent with my wrapped hand. Within minutes my face began to swell as If I had been stung by a bee, worse - I found half of my face had embedded fiberglass splinters, even through my left eyelid, within 2 hours, my left eye had swollen shut and the left side of my face was almost twice in size from the swelling. The tape the hand center wrapped my hand in was Mkesson Fiberglass Casting tape read from he rest of the tape roll they sent me with. I was in the hospital for 3 days before the swelling subsided.I tried to make an another appointment with the hand center, but was told I missed the follow up appointment, to which I explained what happened without pointing a finger, but as the staff member stuttered to respond, I could tell she was the one who wrapped my hand. They told me to come in the next day, when I arrived I was told I was discharged from their practice and denied having ever wrapped my hand. I tried to explain the the doctor and the other nurse that the oak spliter is STILL in my hand, they took no interest and discharged me fromt their practice The staff member would not let me talk to doctor Katranji or schedule another appointment. It was clear to me I was a liability at this point. It was an accedent on thier part, but so unethical to deny responsibility, but the worst part is the lack of consideration for my hand, which is now a painful scarred over mess.Stay away, these people operate on poor ethics and have no consideration for your time or problem, at least that has been my experience.

Would NOT recommend. Each time I had an appointment I had to wait more than an hour past my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The same was true for my surgery. The front desk staff were rude over the phone on EVERY occasion and when asked why I was waiting more than an hour past my scheduled appointment time only replied (rudely) there was nothing to do but wait. Horrible customer service at literally every appointment. Pathetic.

My mom had 2 carpal tunnel surgeries by Dr Katranji that ended up so bad she had to go get her hand fixed by another doctor, In turn, the damage was already done and that doc did what he could to make it so my mom could actually use her hand again. I do not recommend him at all! Save you hands and go somewhere else!!

Horrible. Refuses service to active patients for not having payments upfront. Says theyre not a hospital and dont have to follow those rules. My daughters already been seen twice, had a surgery and now cant do a follow up! Clearly the safety of their patients is not important. Just the money!!

Katranji was a fantastic hand surgeon! After a terrible accident he was able to restore my hand back to its full beauty. Everyone there was so nice and helpful through the surgery. They answered all my questions and made me feel welcomed. I would definitely recommend doctor Katranji

Dr. K is a wonderful hand surgeon and a wonderful person. He is honest, unique and understanding. He is the only doctor I have ever met that takes the time to let the patients in the waiting room know why he is running late and they all think he’s great and do not mind the wait. It was refreshing to hear such great comments. There are times you may have to wait a considerable amount of time for his arrival for surgery but he is worth the wait. You won’t be sorry you chose him for your surgeon.

I highly recommend this center. Dr. Katranji is an awesome surgeon, and the staff there are great. He takes his time to explain every step and answers all your questions and concerns. Im very grateful for my successful hand repair.

Absolutely wonderful hand surgeon! I had an injury on my ring finger that needed surgery and he walked me through all of the steps of the procedure and helped with my recovery as well. He is wonderful person and has checked up on me periodically asking how my ring finger is doing in terms of healing. Would highly recommend this doctor!

The office staff needs to figure some things out. It should not have taken 3 1/2 months for them to finally get my short term paperwork to the disability company. Also they have received multiple requests from the disability company for more information that have gone unanswered for another almost 5 weeks. I liked this office more than a year ago however within the last year things have definitely changed and as of now not for the better. I am still fighting with them for the paperwork I need desperately.Desperately disappointed

Dr. Katranji has been so helpful to me and my family. His gratitude and generosity will never be forgotten. My injury had left me unable to accomplish the simplest task, but with his help and his teams support it couldnt have been a smoother recovery. He kept my family and me calm and informed on everything that was happening. I could never be more thankful for someone like him to help with my injury.

This place is horrible. Our son went there and they did not treat his fracture correctly and now he needs major wrist surgery to fix what they messed up. They even took xrays and confirmed it had healed but what they didnt tell us is that is healed completely wrong because they didnt fix it right away and now its been months so now its done more damage. Please do not go to this place! Try Dr Stephens, his office is great and he is highly recommended with great reviews. I would rate it a 0 or no stars but that is not an option.

I was experiencing severe carpal tunnel and had trouble typing at work. I found Dr Katranji on google and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Reception was super friendly on the phone and managed to find a time that worked for my busy schedule.During the appointment, Dr. Katranji was very thorough and provided various pain-relieving massages. Ive already scheduled regular appointments since I could feel a difference from that very first appointment!

If I get there at the appointed time Ill wait for 30-60minutes before going back to a private room. Dr. Katranji Is friendly, ready to answer any questions, and truly cares about his patients. He prefomed surgery on my wrist and It healed wonderfuly!

Doctor Katranji is an amazing hand surgeon! 10 months ago, I got into a car accident, my left wrist was completely broken, and I found out this hand center, where the workers treated me nicely and answered all my questions. Doctor Katranji somehow was able to cure my hand, and now it feels like I have never injured it. Thanks Katranji, I definitely recommend this place!

This place is amazing! I have received amazing support throughout the entirety of my time being treated by Dr. Katranji. I have a mild case of arthritis in my hands, more specifically in my knuckle area on both hands, and i have came to Dr. Katranji for my past few treatments and it genuinely feels like i have never even had these problems. He literally helped fix my hand its insane !!! I placed all of my trust in Dr. Kantranjis surgical skills and i will continue to do so.

I’ve never reviewed a business or restaurant before in my life because I believe that one or two bad experiences isn’t justification for tarnishing a reputation when everyone has off days.With that being said this has been the most consistently incompetent, unprofessional, and repugnant business I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. My boyfriend severed a tendon in his hand while we were camping and once in the ER we were told that a Dr. Katranji would be the one doing his reconstructive surgery. The only thing Katranji cares about is his ego and how good he believes he is as a doctor, this is glaringly obvious when you talk to him if he even graces you with over two minutes of face to face interaction. Immediately after the surgery my boyfriend knew there was something wrong with hand, we called his office and described the symptoms and they told us everything was fine. He kept complaining, finally scheduled an appointment with Katranji (who we were informed in the middle of all this left the country for a couple of weeks) and is told to put it in a different splint because it isn’t healing properly.Fast forward a month and half later and we are told that it wasn’t one tendon that ripped but it was three, and now one of three is ripping again and we will have to do this whole process over again. After we tell Katranji that we’ve been saying this for a month and a half he dismisses it and says that never happened.Obviously this is frustrating but it’s honestly the tip of the incompetence iceberg. The staff there is abhorrent and unfit. They blatantly lie about calling and scheduling appointments, which I’ve already had to go to the office and demand an explanation for, when they do schedule an appointment it’s in the middle of the work day on a single day for that entire week. And if you want to reschedule it’ll be for the following week, if you get lucky. Also if you get an appointment, be prepared to wait at least 2 hours because they are always running behind, which the the doctor almost seems to be proud of? The “receptionist” LouAnne, if you can even call her that seeing as she can’t even tell you when your appointments are supposed to be, is so unpleasant and rude it’s amazing she has a job anywhere dealing with people. Today after my boyfriend calls her three times and she transfers him in the middle of his sentence for the third time, I finally call and she tells me that today between 1-3 is the only day my boyfriend can get his blood-stained and smelly cast off this entire week. We have JOBS how can we make that? I finally lose my cool and swear and hang up and then the nurse whom my boyfriend has been trying to get a hold of all morning FINALLY has the time to call him back now not to talk about his hand but to talk about my attitude. The same nurse who didn’t give us his pain medication prescription a day after his surgery, when she says she of course did.I could go on this wasn’t even 1/10, this place needs to be investigated by the Better Business Bureau I know they are already in the process of litigation by another angry patient, the point is stay far away. Honestly, no matter how bad your hand hurts it’s better than the headache you’ll get trying to deal with these awful people.

Was a great help. Was having some serious issues but he kept me calm and treated me like family. They really took care of me and couldnt be happier with the treatment. Highly suggest!

I can’t say enough Great things about The Katranji Hand Center. From the moment I walked through the front door, the office staff was welcoming and friendly. Right through the registration process, (And Yes, the waiting period), and the actual office visit.When my time came, I was called to the back. The medical assistants were Johnny on the spot prepping me and taking vitals, entering information, taking X-Rays and etc. Truly Professional….After a brief time, Dr. Katranji and an entourage of associates entered the room. Wow, I couldn’t believe how personable and friendly everyone was. Dr. Katranji spoke to me more on my level of understanding without all of the medical mumbo-jumble. He was straight to the point telling me what I needed to achieve full use of my hand once again. That did include surgery, from a serious dog bite.Then he briefly had a conversation Just trying to get to know me on more of a personal level. That means a lot to me.Day of surgery, I arrived at the hospital and on the way to get prepped, I passed him in the hall and he took his time to Joke a little and assure me everything was going to be just fine! Again, very personable.I was prepped and again he came in and told me what to expect through the process. And surgery went well and as expected. Before discharge from the hospital, in he comes again and has a brief but needed discussion on after care.I just had my first follow up visit yesterday 12/07/2018. Again, the same experience as the first.I can’t Say enough! I would highly recommend this place to any and all Friends & Family.p.s. If you do a little homework on Dr. Katranji, you will discover he’s one heck of a humanitarian and one hell of an individual.I salute You, Dr. Katranji.

I accompanied my husband to The Katranji Hand Center. I was impressed with the nice and clean facility to start, Very friendly staff, from the receptionist, medical assistants to the Doctors. Very pleasant and Extremely Professional.My husband and I are very pleased and would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing Great Surgeon with a professional, passionate team of wonderful people.BTW! Im somewhat appalled by some of the negative reviews some ignorant and arrogant people thinking they shouldnt have to wait past their appointment time and beyond . What is wrong with you people?This is NOT a cattle farm where your herded in and out just to make a quota and a buck, So get your panties out of wad folks and just take a seat like the rest of us and wait. Errrrrrr!These people truly care and they take time with their patients. !!!!!!

Doctor is extremely rude will never return he embarrassed my whole family and then yelled at his employees where the entire lobby could hear. While we had to walk out in shame.Update drs office sends an article saying the reason they were rude is because a mom let her kid lick something in a drs office. And to take my review down......1st thing I dont care what another mom let her kid lick, my children were taught better and I dont know where stuff in the office has been you better believe its not going in my kids mouth.2. We have special circumstances that required all of us to be in the room. A person with disabilities gets special accommodations I even explained the situation after I was kicked out of the room and still no one cared.3. I put this review up because it was the truth. The situation was handled inappropriately and others should know. This office should have made special accommodations for the patients disability.4. This doctor acted horribly. How dare you yell at your staff in front of patients. They werent even the ones who allowed it to happen, but you yelled sry then anyway. Dr. Katranji has helped me so much from the beginning to the end of this process. The surgery went perfectly and after rehab Ive never felt better.

I had an accident and completely severed my right extensor tendon, but for the first few days I thought it wasnt that bad. Still, I took ERs advice and sought a hand specialist. I wish I had called Katranji right away, but I relied on these Google reviews and was deterred by a few negative ones. So I called a different place. The problem is, the other place requires a referral just to schedule an appointment - which is a terrible policy in my opinion (Katranji doesnt require a referral to make an appointment). So I had to wait over a week just to get in to see my PCP first. That was discouraging because I found out later that surgery on this tendon should be performed within a week. But at least when I did see my PCP, they recommended Katranji instead.By the time I saw Dr Katranji it had already been two weeks since the accident (2 days before I called PCP, 8 days to get in to see them, and 4 more days to see Katranji because the appointment was made on a Friday). Im grateful that Dr. K and his staff were as forgiving as they were knowledgeable. Because of the time that had elapsed I was concerned, but the doc told me it was fine, and was a relatively easy procedure.Surgery was two days later at McLaren. It went great and Im on the mend with minimal pain. To summarize, everything that took place once I saw Dr. Katranji was positive, and his staff was kind and professional as well. Im very grateful. Added bonus: Im a musician and require the use of my right thumb, index, and middle finger. Luckily I still have full use of those fingers while the rest of my hand heals!

Although the office staff was disorganized at times, the care from Dr Hoettner and Dr Katranji was thorough, both in taking the time in the evaluation and diagnostic procedures, as well as giving us the time and details post surgery. I feel they give you their full attention rather than rushing through. Take early apointments to avoid the back up.

This place takes care of patients first. They take all comers and works hard to educate patients. The extra time spent makes a world of difference.

This place is horrible, I had a 345 appointment, arrived at 3:30 finally left at 5:30. I got a bill in the mail for my co-pay, I called my insurance company and I filed a grievance because they were charging for services they did not conduct. The doctor says that he examined me which was a straight out lie! And insurance fraud. And only Dr office ive been to where they require you to pay your copay before being seen, I guess its to keep you waiting !

Just found out that my husband will need surgery again from a different doctor because this one is a quack. Do NOT go there. Doctor comes out after surgery and says, I had to pull on a vein when I cut open your husband well come to find out is was a tendon. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. He does not take responsibility for this either plus trying to charge his the office visit that THEY canceled, which I will not be paying. Even the staff are very rude. I may have to find a lawyer because he has to be stopped, He does not know what he is doing. Even my husband regular doctor has stopped sending patients to them because he is getting to many complaints. I had to give them one star so I could post but if there was a minus 20 I would give them that

My appointment was August 24, 2018. I seen the nurses and they are quick to diagnose a problem. I seen the doctor he was very thouroughand quickly assessed the problem ( not what nurses thought) and the doctor was nice and said we would have to do surgery. The scheduler wasntw in til Monday. I said okay. I called Monday left message, she called me Tuesday left a message, I have called everyday since then. It Is September 12,2018. And i get the same answer ever time. She is on break Ill give her the message, she is on lunch Ill give her the message after a few weeks of being blown off. I contacted my doctor office an asked to be seen by another doctor. Now I have to go through the waiting period all over again. Now Im thinking I dodged a bullet because if his surgery is anything like his office personal, i Iwould be screwed! Horrible service! Rude secretaries! And nurses quick to jump to a diagnosis! Oh I seen Dr. Huettner when I was here. He was a great doctor, very good and very polite. It was everyone else that needs work! I wish I could leave zero stars but had to chose one star to leave a message.

After Dr. Stephen Ereg left. Katranji never even reviewed my xrays. This guy just likes to bill insurance without even reviewing patients diagnosis. Dr Ereg was thoughtful and thorough reviewing xrays and showed genuine concern for my well being.

Would not recommend this facility. Screwed over too many times.

Was in a motorcycle wreck in May of 2016 and Sparrow sent me to see a guy from MSU Surgery who did absolutely nothing, in fact he treated me very poorly. Was told there was nothing that MSU was able to do.Dr Katranji asked different questions and actually listened to the answers I gave. Had surgery on January 15th and my hand has not felt this good in over a year!!!Thank you Dr Katranji!!!!

My boyfriend had an appt at 2 but we arrived 15 minutes early. At 3:45 we left because all they did was take his insurance card and id and he still hadnt been called back. Thats a ridiculous wait time!!! And when he went to ask the receptionist at 3:25 when his appt was she said 2 as if nothing was wrong.... that is horrible service. This appt was in the middle of our day which is fine if they called him back within the hour but for someone to wait 2+ hours for their NAME to be called is ridiculous and who knows when his name was actually called and who knows how long he would have waited when he was finally taken back. Appts run behind but you should tell people Im sorry were running (x amount of time) behind and youll be see in (x amount of time)

Dr Katranji is one of the best hand surgeons i know, he has done miracles for my wife in the last 2 yrs.

I wish it were possible to leave zero stars... the most unprofessional staff running the place. Appt after appt they continue to disappoint me.1. Theyve had me wait over 1.5 hours to be seen when they guaranteed me at time of scheduling I would be out at a certain time2. They hounded me for a $500 payment at my follow up visit, when I had never even received my first bill for the surgery and then tried to demand payment before I left.3. Next follow up they schedule me for... I show up at 8:50am and they inform me there is no one there today to see me... but they claimed they called me last night after 6pm to tell me, but didnt leave a message... and I have NO missed call! All the while this is my missed time from work!!!What makes it infuriating is all the while they are rude and inconveniencing... They are frowny-faced, unapologetic, and just flat out dont care.There is no customer service, I cant believe they run a business this way. Terrible.

Everything about Dr katranji, his staff, and his office is horrible. He takes on way more than he can handle and he along with the rest of his staff have got to have the worst attitude in Lansing. If you can avoid going here trust the rest of these reviews and find somewhere else

Great doctor saved my hand

This place is rediculous why schedule someone and then have them wait so long and staff is so rude and annoying. This is so unprofessional would never recommend tHis place to anyone. Did I mention his nurse practitioner was high on our first visit couldnt sit still was confused schedule us for surgery then call an hour later to cancel and reschedule the date because they felt the doctor should have seen us from the beginning so here we are 2nd time and last time I definitely will be complainin.

Second appt here and had to wait over an hour past our scheduled appt time. Staff was very unpleasant and condescending! I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but when my experience was the same this time I was definitely not impressed! I recommend finding a different Doctor!

Went here to get finger surgery and he did a great job and the entire staff was great. I would definitely recommended this place to friends and family.

Went in because I found out I have Carpal Tunnel in both hands. They schedule my surgery in December but when I got to hospital they said they told them they didn’t accept my insurance so they couldn’t do it and I’d have to pay for half the surgery right then. So after being there for 4 hours I finally left and they said they would reschedule so I could get it done never happened iv called multiple times and they say they will call back but don’t, it’s not April and still haven’t had my surgery done. And I called back again and they said they had to reschedule me again to come in because it’s been so long, did I ever get a call back nope, this place sucks, I would never recommend them to anyone.
