Trash place. Got a referral from Kent. Called them on Friday, can’t talk to anyone just a answer machine. Said they call you in 1-2 days. Called again the next Thursday left a message. Called again on Friday, a week later. Talked to an operator and after being on hold for 15 min I was told they never got the referral. They were just gonna keep having me leave messages and never call me back. I was then told I’d be called by the secretary from the East Greenwich office after lunch. Obviously they never called. Trash place. If this is how the front of the office operates, think about what happens when and if you see a doctor.

My experience here was great. Dr. Cribb and the staff is super accommodating and kind. I felt like I was fully informed about my procedure and that the staff listened carefully to any questions and answered them thoroughly. I typically have major recovery issues following anesthesia and Jerry fully explained what I would be given and that my recovery would be more positive ,and it truly was an easy recovery following the procedure. I have several other family members who have had procedures at this facility and have also had a great experience. I highly recommend University Gastroenterology.

Everyone at University Gastroenterology was beyond excellent. They were all very friendly and personable, and I was even able to share a few laughs with them. Using scopes is all that they do, all day, so they have it down to a science and are extremely competent at their job and do their job well. I felt very safe and comfortable and would definitely come here again for an endoscopy!

I had been waiting almost 3 months to see a GI doctor, I had an appointment yesterday and was hopeful I was going to get help. I saw Dr Barros whom listened to my symptoms, but then started bringing my psychiatric issues into it. I had multiple cat scans of my abdomen in which all showed colitis. He tried telling me the cat scans were wrong, and that is could all just be psychiatric related. I really don’t understand how screaming in pain, severe constipation, and going straight mucus is psychiatric related. At one point he told me he felt sorry for me for having psychiatric issues so young. This made me uncomfortable. I thought I was there to see a gastroenterologist not a psychiatrist. I also told him that I had a bump in my perenium area. He told me it was a “protruding internal hemmroid” he didn’t even look but just diagnosed it as that. I knew that diagnosis was wrong and went to the hospital in which I was diagnosed with a abscess that the ER doctors believed were caused due to the COLITIS. If I had listened to his diagnosis I could have let this infection go and got sepsis. After waiting for almost 3 months to be seen by him he says: “see you in 6 months” and I’ll do a colonscopy.... can’t get me in for a colonscopy for another month and a half. So I guess I’ll just be in pain until then.

The doctors are nice but the office staff is a different story. They never pick up their phone and when you leave a message with specific information and request they still dont call or really listen to the details of your message. Ive had to call everyday to get someone to call me back because my mom is a patient there. Then when you do get a call back, 3 to 4 days later with no explanation or apology, the person sounds annoyed that Im making her do her job. Its truly horrible and very unprofessional.

Absolutely the RUDEST place ever! Sad part is that I Haven’t even got to meet the dr yet!! because the Women who is cranky that answers the phone & transfers you to the dr devoted to hung up on me while I was speaking! First off who calls back a patient and not leave a message with zero info! 2nd how am I suppose to know there’s 6 different drs there!! I have called twice to simply make an appointment for the 1st time & this seems to be how you treat everyone.... hang up while I’m speaking & trying to figure out what dr see....how about Be an adult, not a child, do better at your job! Your in customer services. Find a new job since your so unhappy & move on. Same tone and rudeness every time I’ve called this place. Not even going to bother to meet the Dr or the other staff if this is the first person of contact people meet. I’m good!!!

This is a great office with workers that are friendly and make your appointment very easy and assuring.From the front office workers that constantly check in patients and sanitize after every personTo the nurses, drs, and finally the last person to walk you out to your ride, I give it high praises.This was my first time here, and will be referring them to other people looking for a GI service.Thank you for everything !!

Miss an appointment? Dropped. No more medical care. We are in a middle of a pandemic and because I had to quarantine for 3 weeks and didnt have access to my vehicle, or phone service, I missed the telephone visit. So instead of trying to reach out to me, they dropped me. So now I can no longer get medical care from my GI doctor.They will be quick to drop you if you are 15 minutes late for your appointment, but it wont be a bother at all when you wait an hour in a room for the doctor to even see you, and then send you home within 10 minutes.You would think that people with GI problems who have a difficult time managing would be worked with instead of worked against but no.Definitely wouldnt recommend as the lack of care is pretty obvious.

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience at University Gastroenterology. I waited in the examination room for over an hour for the doctor after I arrived for my appointment. The Dr. was nice but that’s a long time to wait. Then the billing department got a hold of me. I received calls saying I never paid my bill when I most certainly did. I sent them a copy of my statement and a screenshot of my transaction showing the exact amount billed withdrawn from my account. They continued to send me bills despite my proof. They deemed my proof not enough evidence showing I made the payment. I would recommend going elsewhere with a competent billing department.

The doctors are fine. But good luck reaching any of them! The office staff are terrible. So terrible in fact that they even know it and broadcast it - The outgoing voice message even tells you not to call back as they will call you back and then they never do. Your only hope is to keep calling and calling until finally you get lucky enough that one of them actually deigns to do their job and pick up the phone. I have never experienced such bad service from any doctors office staff anywhere.
