I have referred several clients to Jesse Mintz, but will no longer refer anyone to him. He is extremely unknowledgable in regards to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Do not go to him if you are seeking a comprehensive Autism evaluation - he does not do ANY diagnostic assessment for Autism, is not familiar with the current DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for Autism, and uses outdated terminology from the DSM-IV. He is extremely dismissive of patients concerns and disregards information provided to him. His reports are sloppily written with numerous inaccuracies, and I have had to contact him on more than one occasion to revise the errors. He has diagnosed each of my very different clients with ADHD, regardless of the presenting and glaring issues (sensory issues, stereotypy, difficulties with transitions, deficits in social communication and interaction, etc., all equate to ADHD for Jesse Mintz).Please find a more knowledgeable doctor and save yourself time, money, and, more importantly, an egregious misdiagnosis. He truly does an extreme disservice to his patients.
