If it could get 0 stars that is what I would rate it! This place was a joke. They closed a wing down due to not accepting Medicaid any more, well I do not believe that is the only reason. The last few weeks my mom (self paid) was there the halls smelled of urine and carpet was nasty!! and the med techs and nurses were all very rude! They would not reply to emails or phone calls. Then the day we were set up to move her room was full of bed bugs and the nurses knew!!!! They let her sleep in them knowing they were there! Unacceptable! The Willows gladly took her in and gave her a cleaning spa day and furnished her room within an hour! because we could not take anything there! The conversations we had before and after that were awful! Tyler was great in the beginning then once things went bad he ignored us. Ronnie was administrative something and she was so very RUDE! as wall as Ann(i think that was her name). And the head nurse Tracy was great in beginning but then ignored me as well along with Alicia! finally got with Jonna a corporate person, she was a little difficult in the beginning but I think she decided to cooperate and wanted to get rid of my family as bad as we wanted to get rid of them. DO NOT put your loved one here. They act like they care but once you are gone, and show up unannounced it is a different world! This was a wake up call and answered prayers! She could not be in a better place!

Have they had some staff turnover, yes. But really who hasnt during covid and I am sad to see some of these reviews as my mothers care has always been a top priority at Easley Place. In fact, and what drove me to write a review is a recent above and beyond the call action by one of their Directors. Christy was in the hall of my mothers building I believe showing someone the adjacent unit when my mother came out to see about someone helping her rotate her mattress. She was uncomfortable sleeping on it but scared to try to do this on her own and honestly, lacked the strength. Christy was meeting with someone so asked if it would be okay to come tomorrow. Just as she said she would, she showed up and in that torrential downpour at that! And might I add, soaked but even more incredibly- with a PIE for my mother as well! She rotated my moms mattress and chatted with her for a little bit. THIS is the Easley Place my family and I know. This is what more people should speak up about. Every staff member I meet is just like Christy. She really made my mothers day and offered us peace of mind. Thank you!

Well I thought the nightmare with this place was over. BUT NO!! We moved my mother out on June 17th 2021, so she was not there for 13 days in June. They took her rent out of her account on the day she moved out. I requested a refund for the 13 days she was not there. They sent her a check for $32.32!! I emailed them asking for an explanation. I received a spreadsheet and all kinds of info that only an account could understand. If you have a loved one who moved out before the July 31st deadline I encourage you to check there accounts.

This place is HORRIBLE. My mother was a resident there for 22 years and they decided they would no longer accept Medicaid on May 24th 2021 and gave the residents until July 31st to find another place to live. This is near impossible. There are very few places that accept Medicaid. We were fortunate to find a wonderful place to move my mother to. Thank goodness. But my heart breaks for those that are still there being neglected. Yes I said NEGLECTED!! Neglect is not always physical. We moved my mother out last Thursday and they had let her run out of insulin, that is neglect. The Tuesday before we moved her out my sister and I were over there packing some of her things and my sister noticed a cup of pills sitting behind her lamp. We knew they were hers because her name was written on the cup. I also found a random blue capsule laying in the kitchen floor. My sister took the cup of pills and the pill off of the floor to the nurses, and I use that term loosely, they said. O those are her morning pills, well have to throw them away and we dont know about the blue pill. REALLY, this is neglect. Her apartment had really nasty black stains on the carpet and there are roach bugs everywhere, that is neglect. They do not care because they are closing and they could care less about the ones that are left there. I PRAY CONSTANTLY FOR THOSE PEOPLE THAT ARE STILL THERE> SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW!!!!

This place is a Joke! Our loved one has been there for just a few days and has been done poorly ! They do not clean people as needed unless family is there to stay on them. It stinks as soon as you walk into the facility and it’s run down. I feel so bad for everyone there as we walked by rooms where people are just slumped over and left to themselves. There was only one CNA there that I can honestly say did an outstanding job at taking care of things while the others including the Nurse on shift was very lazy and just didn’t seem to care at all to be there.

I give one star only because there isn’t an option for zero. This is no place to put your loved ones. The staff, with the exception of a few are the most uninformed bunch of people. Or maybe it’s all by design to keep family members in the dark. Every single question that was asked by our family was answered with “I don’t know”. Not “I don’t know, let me find out “ but just I don’t know. My mother has advanced Parkinson’s with dementia. She would be brought her food with a glass with no lid and left without assistance. That was a disaster. I went and bought her sippy cups myself. I watched employees sitting around while food was waiting to be served. These people are bothered tremendously when asked questions. My mother is in a much better place now. I thank God we got her out of there. I would like to acknowledge the social worker and also the Director of Nursing. There were a few good CNAs and one nurse that seemed to care. Other than that, laziness and apathy are the 2 words that I would use to describe staff. The receptionist is extremely rude when answering the phone and management seems to be rather uninvolved with the operations. Oh and to the nurse that spoke so rudely to my 85 year old father—it will come back to you the way you treat people. Especially the vulnerable.

Great facility for care of residents in need. Professional people focused on their job, while retaining human understanding and compassion at the same time. Nice surroundings, good food, and there is even a billiards room with a piano, seating and a television. Of course its 5 stars, my grandmother stays here.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. My Dad was moved to this facility after a long stint in the hospital. They advertise critical care nursing but what we found was far from that. He was coming for physical therapy until he was to return to the hospital for a heart surgery. He was at this facility less than 48 hours when he passed away suddenly from a suspected PE. I think the big mistake was that he, as a critical heart care patient, was moved to the facility on a Saturday when staff is lower than through the week and they didn’t get his medicines for about 15 hours. Yes, a heart patient needing critical care with no blood thinners, other critical medicines, what could go wrong there?! I would not recommend this place to anyone who has a critical care need. There are other issues but I will just leave this comment as it is the most important for people needing references for critical care for their family.

This place is now running under the name of The Easley Place , it is run exactly the same by the same people, my daughter with autism currently works there and she came down with the flu and they told her if she doesn’t come in she will be fired knowing infecting elderly people could be a DEATH sentence , please reconsider sending your love ones to this place not only is it not safe but it is filthy dirty with roaches crawling out of every crack and crevice I have pictures to prove it if anyone’s interested thank you for your time ........

Management is sub par. Understaffed continuously. Current staff is tired and raken advantage of along with underpaid. The building is not as clean as it could be. Supplies are never in stock to the point of they have to make frequent trips to the local CVS. The company is being bought out finally due to not making a profit when in reality its just poorly ran. Patient care is not a top priority there. Many behavioral needs have not been met by staff and physician. Patients are suffering in thier dementia. I would not place a family member here for rehab or long term skilled care.

I offer one star today after working in this field for years, in many different facilities. The truth is, I currently work here and have been employed here for some time, and so I do believe I have some insider information worth sharing that carries enough merit.I encourage all to read this before considering letting a beloved family member reside here.To start off, the only reason I continue to work here despite the awful situation, is for the residents.I love them, and I love this field of work.People are my passion, and I will always strive to treat each resident as my own family. This is why I write this. In hopes that public confrontation will force some positive change to take place, for both the residents and their caretakers (the staff). There are two main issues with this company that really cause the chaos and poor living quality for residents.1.The company has demonstrated to me that its main focus seems to be more on keeping up furnishings/appearances, and filling up empty rooms than they do on residents true needs and proper placement.Sure, the place looks great, has an allure of refined taste and meals that dont physically appear too shabby. But when looking closer, you find thatA. Nearly all meals come out of a can or frozen prepackaged box, are loaded with chemicals,B. Half of the residents in assisted living section very seriously belong in advanced skilled living (and vice versa),and C.The employees are often made up of entry level people who are both ill equipped and often incompetent (not all staff are bad, but the good ones are so horrendously underpaid, they often cant afford to live, and are forced to quit, leaving the kind of staff no one else will hire). To me, it feels less like a home and more like an assembly line for the elderly, where the companys bottom line is the highest priority (despite how hard they try to convince you it isnt).Ive witnessed first hand so many residents decline in a matter of months, even needlessly die because they required so much more assistance & resources than the facility or their specific placement has to offer, both in staffing and equipment. My second point is in regard to staff and wages, which play a huge role in resident care, as we are the backbone of the industry.Without a chance to work ones way up, a job then becomes a dead end.We certainly dont do it for the money, it takes a passion for people, an elevated sense of patience, empathy, and love. But when one cant afford to pay their rent or even buy Brookedale approved pants, despite working overtime, one must seek alternative means of income.Ive seen a great deal of good employees over the years come and go. The usual reason for their loss?Despite hard work and how much they pour their souls into the lives of these residents, theyre lucky if they recieve even a 10c raise at the end of the year.Employees can make more at Mcdonalds than caring after your beloved ones, despite the fact that these residents are shelling out $2500+ a month for nothing more than a place to sleep, the occasional apathetic staff service, and 3 school cafeteria-level meals.I cant tell you how often ive walked in on a resident with their depends hanging by a thread, soaked in urine, or their bed dripping in diarrhea and rears covered in raw bed sores, simply because this company refuses to focus on paying for good, loyal, quality staffing. The only incentive they offer for being a good employee is payment in brookedale bucks which is essentially chuckee cheese tokens that allow one to get a prize out of a utility closet. It is a joke and an insult.Nevermind a bonus or raise so people can feed their family. So I sadly write this today, imploring Brookedale to both improve (at the very least) their standards of what kind of resident gets placed where, and 2, that they actually demonstrate they care about good staffing and offer some serious annual investment in those staff who are investing in them and their residents. If they can fix this, I will gladly retract this post.

I will be forever grateful to Easley place. The way that ALL who work there cared for my mother. She started off in Independent living and transitioned to Assisted living at the Park . As her health declined, the staff ALWAYS practiced integrity and compassion, caring for mom by doing what is right with dignity and grace. .

I am enjoying the new management and team in place. Activities have picked up again and they are really engaged in making sure the residents are getting an above and beyond experience there. They are quick to respond to any concerns and follow up with family consistently to check in.
