If you care about your loved one, this is not the place for them. Only 24oz of fluid per day. 4oz water 4oz of juice. At meals. No milk, unless a loved one is there to ask for it. The executive directors response was, well some of our patients cant have milk. Well my mom can! and likes milk. The patient suffers so they can save some money. Same with the food. I wouldnt feed it to my pet. Ten days into her stay I had noticed none of her new bath products had not even been opened including her new toothbrush still in the box. Please do your research for your loved one. They deserve so much better than this.

I feel very comfortable having my dad at Brookdale. The staff have been fantastic with helping him adjust. There were some hiccups with the transition for him the first few weeks but during this difficult time for our family they continued to let me know they were here for us too. My dad tells me he feels cared for and likes the young kids who help take care of him. He likes the food and enjoys that the portions arent too big, just perfect. So far the only thing I can be upset about is that he has already lost 2 pairs of glasses in 1.5 months. Were doing what we can to work out a routine so this doesnt continue to happen so well see. Some of this stuff is just bound to happen in memory care though. Thanks Brookdale for all you do.

The food is cheaply prepared. This place is all about making and saving money. The place smells like urine. The furniture and carpet is fully of urine. The place is so out dated. The washing machines and dryers are so old and gross. There are anta everywhere. There isnt proper housekeeping. And not to mention so understaffed. No proper activities. They share medication between residents. Med passers are not properly trained. And they pay there employees very low. Employees are not appreciated. The management only cares about themselves.

I wanted to write a current review on Brookdale Eagan and share a note thanks applauding their ongoing efforts in taking care of my dad, especially in the face of the pandemic. My father, who has lived at Brookdale Eagan for 2+ years now, continues to receive extraordinary care. Through face-time phone calls and porch-side visits, not only has Brookdale’s staff been able to keep me and my family fully connected with Dad during the quarantine, but also, Michelle, the amazing Executive Director, or Pauline, the communities Health and Wellness Director, routinely call me with updates or will text me with pictures or videos of my father having a great time. Dad has simply flourished since joining the Brookdale Eagan community and, for that, I am grateful to the entire staff for their ongoing commitment to “best in class” memory care.***Note***I wrote the below 11 months ago and agree with everything I shared originally as well.I would highly recommend Brookdale Eagan for anyone needing dementia and memory care for their loved ones. My father has lived there for over six months and is thriving due the excellent care he is receiving. The staff is amazing and all are highly competent with special credit and thanks to the executive director for her leadership and commitment to the Brookdale community. I couldnt ask for a better home for my dad. Thank you Brookdale Eagan.

My Mother lives in our home and we needed to find a two week respite for her when we were leaving the country for a tour. We had visited Brookdale before as part of our process in finding Mom a place to go should we not be able to take care of her in our home. Brookdale was one of two places that my Mom had positive feelings about out of seven different facilities. My Moms stay ended up being very positive. The staff were so kind and helpful, making my Mom feel comfortable from day one. They never hesitated to contact us if they needed more information. They even texted me while I was on my trip to show her participating in different activities and to give me an update on how well she was doing. They also went out of their way to make my many family members, who visited, to feel welcome as well.Although my Mom was happy to get home to her own bed, when asked how she felt about Brookdale, she said, It was a nice place to be. She liked the food and said all of the staff were very nice.I would not hesitate to bring her there for a respite again and should the time she needs full-time care, this place would be on the top of our list.

It has been close to a year since we moved our mom into Brookdale and I remain pleased with her care and the compassion she receives at Brookdale. It is such a peace of mind knowing she is safe and happy with all the activities she is able to participate in.Our experience with learning about and moving my mom in to Brookdale has been a positive experience in a stressful and emotional change. We discovered that Brookdale offers the community that we were looking for in providing a safe, secure environment along with feeling loved and cared for by all of the staff. They took the time to learn my moms personality and incorporate this to make her feel more welcomed. I love that they provide fun, engaging activities throughout the day, seven days a week.

I have been at Brookdale Eagan for 18 years. I have a deep compassion for the associates and residents I work with. Ive met a lot of wonderful people over the years Ive been here. The residents bring me joy, and I go home knowing I did a great job. My compassion runs deep for this community and the poeple in it. And remember old friends make the best friends.

All thumbs down on this facility. Receptionist is rude, not helpful and not knowledgeable. Staff is not proactive about providing information to family on what services are covered. We had to ask about everything. For example, do they provide laundry services, is it for a fee, does or can family take the laundry home? Whenever we visited NO ONE is with the residents in the locked hospice area at various times we came...morning, afternoon, dinner, evening. What if a resident, chokes, falls, etc. Toys, dolls in community areas dirty. No kleenex available in community areas without asking. Dementia patients ask???? Staff allows health risk items to remain in rooms even after front desk staff is informed. We stayed because we couldnt get our loved one in somewhere else on short notice but we would not recommend this facility to anyone. You are sending your loved one from this earth on a faster, non-compassionate pathway. Please dont write back on this space and say you are sorry because you werent when it mattered...when our loved one was in your care and alive!

My stepdads situation 2 1/2 years ago didnt allow us to choose where he would be placed. He lived in Hibbing. We were very fortunate that Brookdale Eagan was our available spot. Mike was very happy here and was quite the character. The staff loved him. I would recommend the location to anyone in need of memory care.

Need to start thinking about the needs of your residents and staff. Better training, and better pay. Stop allowing any and every thing in your facility just to fill a bed and get a bonus. You are exposing your staff to great danger!!!

We moved Mom in in May, and after multiple issues with medications, services, and mis-steps with a diet restriction, I gave up and we moved Mom into my home in mid September. Some of the staff was wonderful, but they were chronically short staffed ever since Mom moved in, and after 2 medication errors we sadly decided to get the heck out!

If you get an opportunity to interview don’t work here. It’s obviously a run down facility with a high turn over rate.
