Bonnie has been an incredible support and help. She has provided a safe and warm environment for me to talk. Bonnie helped so much with some difficult challenges. She listens and always provides valuable feedback and perspective. Bonnie is very compassionate and I appreciate all her support.

Aslan is as good as it gets.Ive worked with a few different therapists during my adult life. Nowhere have I found more effective counsel than at Aslan Institute. Lyndall Johnson and her team offer brilliant education classes and individual therapies. With their help, I feel that I have “graduated” to a new level of Self realization and compassion that is well beyond the drama of earlier life stages.

UPDATE: While showing my review to someone, the positive reviews struck me as professionally written. I searched the names of the reviewers, and most are therapists, and work at or possibly worked at Aslan. This is not just shady, but utterly unethical for any sort of therapy clinic. They are trying to mask and cover up negative reviews with fake glowing reviews, instead of responding to or addressing the concerns. I have not been contacted about the issue I had, and I am willing to bet others have not been contacted either.ORIGINAL REVIEW:It took me years to finally post this review. I went here for a whopping two appointments. Everything about this place SEEMS warm and welcoming, until they give you the packet.I was trying to seek treatment for anxiety, depression, and possible PTSD. They gave me a packet to fill out, which I hadnt filled out by my second appointment. The therapist told me the packet had to be filled out before they could continue seeing me, and cancelled my appointment ten minutes in, and would not help me with the packet, despite repeated pleas to assist me with it.Whats in the packet? Probing questions about not just what you want to be seen for, but about potentially traumatic events, as well as questions about your past that were deep enough to send me into an anxiety attack when trying to fill it out, which led to a depression spiral which affected every aspect of my life. These were questions the therapist should be asking you in therapy, in a safe environment, where they can help you through resulting emotions.I ended with a crisis appointment with my old therapist to try to undo the effects of this packet. She could not believe the questions they were asking and requiring me to answer before receiving therapy. Several appointments with my old therapist later, I was able to recover. The packet pulled everything to the surface that I needed help working through, and it all hit me at once. This place strikes me as uncaring or unable to deal with serious issues, and I feel like if you make it through the packet (it may have changed in the last 3-4 years), then you arent likely too bad off. If you have serious issues you need help with, go elsewhere.Oh, and I was switching from my old therapist because she was in another state and we did over the phone appointments, and I wanted to move to face to face appointments. Ive been hesitant to seek face to face therapy since, due to a fear of running into something similar.EDIT: I find it curious that a year ago a negative review was left about Bonnie Resnick, and about the same time a positive review that was the direct opposite was left about her. A month later, Bonnie herself leaves a positive review about Aslan. It strikes me as Brand Management and an attempt at negating the negative reviews.

I attended a class a few years ago at the Aslan Institute with Bonnie Resnick. She was FABulous! She is such a good healing therapist. I felt so calm after even only 1 class with her... She left me wanting more. She helped me on my journey to self awareness and fulfillment. Bonnie has a very calming presence and is very knowledgeable. I liked how she approaches her teaching and her passion for healing. She is outstanding!

Everything is connected.Your brain cannot work unless your heart is beating. Your heart cannot function without your lungs to provide oxygen. The human body is an extraordinarily intricate machine, but the human psyche is vastly more complex. If you believe that you need to find the root of what is ailing you; if you are dissatisfied with taking a pill to simply resolve the symptom-of-the-day, then Aslan is for you. If you are looking for balance in your life - visit Aslan. Counseling, health coaching, meditation, and spiritual direction are all available under one roof.

I cannot speak to the entire Aslan Institute psychologist staff; this review is for Bonnie Resnick Psy D who practices at Aslan Institute.Bonnie Resnick runs her practice with the focus on making money instead of providing care and help to her client. She prolongs number of sessions without providing clinical treatment; all she does is listening to clients point of views (normal or abnormal aside) without providing treatment and looking into the root of clients mental health concerns. She makes biased and unethical suggestions to her paying client instead of seeing the full story and understanding the need for help. She does not care about culture difference /customs and makes judgmental recommendations based on her personal belief. She does not respect clients family members who are really concerned and seeking help for the client; she forms biased viewpoints and encouraging clients behaviors that actually need help. She does not care about her clients family members inputs on helping her client; She does not gather facts from an unbiased 3rd party medical view; she offers biased suggestions and encourages clients abnormal behaviors; she does not have clients best treatment in mind but rather focusing on how to make more money for her practice. She believes in that if she does not actually see mental health symptoms of a client in action, then that client does not need help. She believes that mental health issues have to be severe enough to cause bodily harm or disasterious results or ending in ER/treatment clinic, then that client has a problem instead of providing early preventive treatment.
