I wish I had the name of the doctor I saw here a few years back, an older gentleman. I came in for lesions, mostly on my face, but also on my neck, chest, and legs. He talked over me, wouldn’t listen when I tried to explain my symptoms, and ultimately decided I needed to “stop picking at my face”. I felt defeated but ultimately I’m not a doctor. Needless to say I did not go back. My skin worsened and I became really sick but never thought my skin was involved because the doctor told me it wasn’t. Even assured my gp my skin was not anything else but acne because I’ve had it looked at by a dermatologist. Yesterday I was finally diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease. The lesions were apart of the lupus aspect of the disease. I really am sorry to post this but I do hope this gets back to that doctor. He needs to take this as a lesson to listen and take time before making a snap diagnosis. I also hope his patients get a second opinion as quickly as I should have.

While I stand by my five star review of the specific clinic in Valparaiso, this is for the events of today, September 2, 2021. I was awaiting for the results of a biopsy performed on August 27. I was not overly nervous, but admit that I am a little more concerned about various types of cancer than I once was. While I am a fairly healthy individual, I lost both my dad and my dog, both to cancer. I cared for my dad via home palliative care and then home hospice. I did everything I could and still could not keep cancer from absolutely consuming both of them and they both died eleven days apart. I keep my phone on “silence unknown callers” as I don’t desire the random spam calls from telemarketers. That’s why I received two missed calls and a voicemail from this number. The voicemail stated that it was Pinnacle Dermatology and they wanted to discuss my lab results from my biopsy (a mole/maturity spot). I tried calling back, but was forced to leave a voicemail asking them to return the call. A few hours later I had nothing, so I tried again. This time I was able to sit on hold for several minutes and ultimately spoke to a representative. I told her I was returning their call and responding to their voicemail. She then asked where I was originally seen and I stated the Valparaiso location. She said that they were closed today (I already was aware) and I would have to wait for them to contact me tomorrow. Excuse me? I asked her why I have to wait, since they called me and said they needed to discuss my lab results. Why call with that potentially awful news and then say I have to wait another day? I asked if this is their official protocol and normally performed procedure, to do this, because it’s extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. She could offer nothing useful, so I ended the call. Then out of the blue, a little over an hour later, a nice lady (I believe a nurse) called to discuss the lab results from my biopsy. It sounded as though she was not aware of any of the other calls/conversations, because she stated that she received my voicemail message and was calling me to discuss the lab results. Ultimately it was good news and thankfully benign, but I am never going to feel comfortable with this company again. So, even though the Valpo location was great, the fact that this Dyer number got involved and caused me a lot of unnecessary stress with, in my opinion, completely inappropriate and unprofessional behavior, I am likely going to look for a different dermatologist. Also, I am historically a very resilient, sturdy person and am a military retiree. So I’m used to monster amounts of stress. This unnecessary stress is what drives me nuts. Sorry for rambling but I wanted to cover it all.

Ive met with several doctors here and they have all be great (nurses as well). I appreciate that they take time to answer questions and went above and beyond what I had come in for originally.That being said, It is hard to get a hold of anyone outside of an office visit. I had a biopsy done and they left a message telling me to call back for results and I called for 24 hours and only was able to talk to a voicemail (scheduling kept transferring me as they were the only person I could actually talk to on the phone). Since it was the day before a holiday weekend I ended up stopping by the office so I didnt have to worry about the results for another 4 days. Someone did provide me the results at that point and mentioned they were understaffed.Scheduling seemed a bit mixed up on a couple occasions. I had to have surgery to remove a spot, they set up that appointment as well as the appointment to remove the stitches, which ended up being too soon and they had to reschedule at another time.When I went to check out after my most recent appointment, I felt the front staff was a rude and pressured me into paying even though I had not received a bill from them or an EOB from my insurance for my previous months services. She told me she needed me to pay at least some of it right then and I felt she was a bit aggressive about it when I had mentioned I hadnt even seen anything from them or my insurance yet. Considering it was a pretty significant balance, that I had not had time to review nor check my deductible, I felt like it was bad business and not the way to treat a customer. If I had been previously late on my bill I would have understood but I have never had an outstanding bill with them.Besides some of the headaches dealing with the staff, I feel the doctors and nurses were always very helpful and kind and I will return.

I got to this place early and was seen early. Tops I was waiting at least 10 mins. Dr.Nicholas Blickenstaff was so sweet, helpful and funny. If I could give this place a tip I would I never walked out of a place with so much confidence again. I will definitely be coming back for any skin issues if I develop any.

Always a great visit. Everyone is happy and helpful. They are compassionate, listen to you, and have a solution.

I am posting on behalf of my husband who has seen Dr. Render several times in the last few months. He is totally awesome!!! My husband feels like family there! Very professional and fun and makes you feel comfortable at the same time!! Also the staff there is great! The receptionist Lorraine has been so helpful!I would recommend this office and Dr Render to anyone that needs dermatology assistance!!!

I suffered from acne since I was about 12 years old. Was put on all the creams, cleansers, and pills I could be. Nothing solved it. 9 years go by with no change, I see Christina sickles, she puts me on a medication specified to what I was going through, and I haven’t had one zit since. I feel so much more confident and happy about my skin. Changed my life!

They exceeded my every worrying thought. They were very professional. They looked at and took care of everything I wanted done right there in the office . I did not have to go to a specialist. And I was in and out in maybe a half hour ,hour tops. And it was super cheap I think. Great job

Absolutely ridiculous! I had an appointment scheduled OVER A MONTH AGO for my 5 year old daughter. Her appointment is in 5 days and now they call to tell me she cant be seen unless I pay out of pocket 150-250$ because they no longer take her insurance.Would of been nice to know a hell of alot sooner since it took me over a month to even get this appointment!!

Office was busy and maybe strained. Not that many patients sitting in the waiting room, and was seen close to an hour after I arrived for my appointment. The dermatologist was friendly and knowledgeable but rushed me and did not let me inquire much about how to treat any issues I had. Kind of just seems like a volume office, pump numbers up and just prescribe.

The doctors, PAs, nurses and staff take great care in their patients, I like the way they take a step-by-step approach in explaining procedures and health evaluations and staying as well as possible.

I would recommend Dr. Sickles to my family and friends! From the time I arrived until the time I left everyone that I had contact with were wonderful. This was my first visit to the office and I was nervous but Dr. Sickles and her assistant Jessica really made me feel comfortable and the patient care I received was excellent.

I have never been to a Dermatologist before and this was such a great experience! If you’re nervous about going, this place is great to ease those nerves! I had a few spots I wanted checked and Dr. Christine Sickles ended up doing a full body scan. They were following COVID protocol and check in was super safe, even down to pens that were labeled “disinfected”. The staff was super friendly also! I would definitely recommend!

I see Dr. Christine Sickles and she is bar none the best Dermatologist I have ever been to. Her full body check is very thorough. I had a small growth that I had to have removed whih was just above my lip and the surgeon Dr. Gereshi did a fantastic job. You cant even see the scar. I highly recommend Pinnacle.

Went to Pinnacle on Feb 22 for rash and a cyst. Dr Blikenstaff was very knowledgeable correctly diagnosing a cyst on right middle finger and removing it on short order. Also for a contact dermatitis rash he diagnosed it and prescribed a topical. Very friendly assistant Alyssia very good at her job. Will go to Pinnacle for my future dermatological needs.

When I walked through the door, I was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist. The usual formalities were handled quickly. After a very short wait I was guided back to a room to see the dermatologist. The examnation and treatment was very efficient. Time was taken to advise me at each step, as to what they were looking for, what they were doing, why they were doing it and what I should expect. At the end of my visit all prescriptions and home treatment regimens were thoroughly explained so that I understood. During the entire visit COVID-19 safety protocols were done properly.

Dr. Sickles is an understanding dermatology. She was easy to understand her and was able to help me with my skin situation. I will highly recommend her for new customers.

Im very happy to say Im thrilled with my new dermatologist. She is compassionate and very attentive to my difficult skin disorders. She is very knowledgeable in skin disorders and patient with all my needs. She has the same Wonderful staff that I have grown comfortable with over the year. If youre going to make an appointment make it for 1st thing in the morning. They take walk ins. So when you show up for your appointment you wait while they treat the walk ins. As soon as Im done with my treatment I wont be back. They completely wasted my time today.

Pinnacle Doctors & Staff always treat their clients with the utmost respect, they are professional and friendly. Great overall! From signing in to signing out!! Nurse/MA and Doctor were excellent! Came for a same day appointment which is hard to do with a dermatologist! Definitely recommend Dr Brown! Spent time and explained everything to my understanding!

Setting up the appointment over the phone was easy and the staff was so nice and inviting! The visit was even better. They saw my daughter and me at the same time - Got us in and out! One of my daughter’s prescriptions needed extra paperwork in order for the insurance to cover if, and they got it done in one day! So glad we chose this office! Dr. Shickles is awesome!!!!

If you are looking for a great dermatologist, look no further. I was beyond satisfied with Dr. Sickles. She removed a huge mole that was on the left side of my forehead. I also told her about a few patches that was on my back and thigh. Most Doctors would just give me an ointment/cream to put on it, but Dr. Sickles took it a step further. She did a biopsy. When I received my biopsy back, it wasn’t the best news. She wanted me to have this test done that would clarify things even more. Dr. Sickles was very informative and possibly saved my life🙌🏽.

This was the first time I have gone to Pinnacle Dermatology and I found the front desk and personal to be very friendly and accommodating. I didnt want to be that person who comes in complaining, but I relayed the problems with their online appointment site, and was told that they appreciated knowing if there were problems.Now for the reason that I traveled from Illinois to Indiana to see a dermatologist, Jennifer Dudak! I have found throughout the years that it is extremely difficult to find a dermatologist that you can really havel confidence in, but Jennifer was recommended to me about a year ago and I found her to be the one! She had moved practices during that time and I fortunately was able to track her down. Jennifer Dudak is one of the most thorough, professional and down to earth medical professionals I have dealt with. Her bedside manner is second to none, which really makes a difference to all patients. I cant say enough about Jennifer and the staff at Pinnacle, and I would definitely recommend this dermatology office.

I had an appointment at the facility in Dyer, IN. I was seen at my appointment time and greeted in a professional manner. This was my first time at this location and my acne diagnosis went great. I will continue to follow the doctors recommendations and medications for a month until next appt/review.

Dr. Sickles and her aid were both absolutely amazing!!From the moment I walked into the office the experience was Awesome!! The ladies at the front desk greeted me with a smile and had great personalities.This was not my first time at a dermatologist. The last time I went to a dermatologist it was so bad I didn’t come back for 5 years in fear of the lying and cheating that transpired my first few appointments. I was told procedures were covered and being desperate to get rid of my psoriasis I let them do light therapy till I got a huge bill.Dr. Sickles took her time and explained my options, she took the time to get to know me and what I wanted out of treatment. On top of that she is helping me get the over priced psoriasis medicine I need to be rid of the nasty skin condition. I left so excited and relieved😃. What an experience in 4-6 weeks or sooner I won’t itch so bad and I won’t be embarrassed wearing shorts or short sleeves and I owe it all to Dr. Sickles and Pinnacle Dermatology.Sincerely Matthew Maravilla

I went and had a full body scan. The doctor made it so comfortable in an uncomfortable situation.

It was a pleasure to be seen by Dr. Brown. She was knowledgeable and thorough. The office is very clean, and the staff was pleasant. The only negative thing I could see is they seemed a little rushed. However, that is pretty normal for any office that books patients appropriately. I would give the office a 4.5.

Staff are nice . Dr Jennifer is gentle and informative. Im sure to go back there if needed.

Dr. Brown was amazing! She was very friendly, personable, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Brown and the nurse were diligent in checking on my comfort throughout the minor skin surgery and informed me of what they were doing when changes needed to happen mid-surgery. They were also prompt in the appointments. No wait the first day and little wait, even with a room of waiting people, for the 2nd appointnent. Ask any questions you have as no question is too insignificant with Dr. Brown.

I had to cancel my first appointment as the waiting area was filled with patients. THERE WAS NO PLACE TO SIT!!! Several patients were STANDING next to the wall!!!!! The waiting area can accommodate about Thirty patients. This should NEVER happen when you are running a business. The message sent was The patient is NOT our number one concern. I did decide to give the practice another chance. I was ready to look for another doctor at this point in time.I did reschedule. My next visit went without a problem!

I enjoyed being in the presence of Dr. T; hes funny with great bedside manner. His assistant/MSA, LuLu is a gem as well. Happy and trusting of his diagnostic impression and course of intervention. Trusting that ,y hoped for results will come to past.

December 4: I sat there for an hour and ten minutes. About 20 patients were called before me. I had to leave. This doctor T Marcotteis is way overbooked. I believe Pinnacle closed down their office in Munster and transferred all the patients to the Dyer office. Now their service stinks. I had an excellent doctor at Pinnacle in Munster, Dr. Brown. She was great. But she left Pinnacle. I would never go to the Dyer office again. I would give this place zero stars if they had zero stars

Everything went great with my appointment as a first time patient ! The flexibility of scheduling appointments was definitely the first positive point . Then I had no wait at all when I went for my appointment !!Dr. Brown was great and she made me very comfortable . I believe she gave a careful examination and was compassionate and understanding to my concerns .I will make her my new dermatologist, and will recommend her to anyone looking for one .
