This has been my dentist for the past four + years. When I left Durham and moved to Fayetteville, I drove to Durham just to keep this dentist. Recently I moved back to Durham and no longer have to drive 1 hour and 30 minutes (one way) for their services. Still - the friendliness of the staff and efficiency of treatments have always been worth the drive for me. Thankful to have found this office.

Very friendly and helpful. Doctor Ha took the time to explain what she was doing and what would need to be done. I totally felt at ease in the chair.

Very clean and well kept during COVID. Very friendly front desk and dentists. Hygienist informed me what she was doing throughout my visit and i didn’t experience any aim during my cleaning. Hygienist and dentist answered questions as needed, talked me through concerns I had and were helpful.

As someone who isnt a fan of going to the dentist, I had a surprisingly great experience. Doctor Davis was thorough and explained everything he was going to do. He listened to my concerns and addressed each and every one of them. The office staff were flexible and got me in extremely quick. Everyone was kind and straight forward. Sarah did my cleaning and fit me into her schedule when I was there for other concerns. Upper management is clearly invested in their clinic and their employees. I will absolutely use them in the future

My experience at Friendly Dental deserves more than 5 stars! Every person at the practice was genuinely courteous, thorough, and so helpful. Scheduling was very quick; I was able to be seen the morning after I called. I have lots of fear surrounding getting cavities filled due to metabolizing the numbing meds quickly and feeling the drilling in the past. They were very attentive and reassuring, and I didnt feel a thing while getting several cavities filled. What a relief. The great service doesnt end there, though. They generously took the time to educate me on better dental hygiene techniques and even gave me a very nice toothbrush to ensure that Im taking great care of myself at home. Just had my first appointment after avoiding the dentist for many years for a variety of reasons. I was very pleased that the whole team lived up to the company name in friendliness and were very compassionate and patient about managing my comfort through the procedure! Probably one of my better dental experiences overall, which I very much needed after past traumatic experiences at Sunrise. Also, was pleased with the billing breakdown being very clear and making it easy for me to plan out the rest of the work I need done, which is often a source of anxiety at other dentists. Only criticism is the consent forms being so over-xeroxed that theyre barely legible, which is inaccessible.. Almost every medical office does this though so I dont hold it against them but it is a bigger issue than folks realize. Cant fully give consent if you cant read what youre consenting too, right?

This would be a five star dental practice but getting someone to answer the phone to make an appointment is a difficult task. They send reminders but dont answer the phone, texts or messages from their website. I went one time (went inside to make the appointment) and the dentist and staff were excellent. Not sure what happened to whoever schedules appointments but I travel and have limited time. Maybe Ill get to see them in December when I return.

Staff was on point, cheerful. Service was ideal, same day service after diagnosis of a cavity. Pricing was the most affordable I have found in the Triangle, with a great discount plan for uninsured. Absolutely the best dental experience I have had in years!! I dare to say...Hurray!!!

I selected Friendly Dental because it accepts my insurance. It turned out to be the best experience Ive ever had at a dentist. They were knowledgeable, thorough and very pleasant to deal with.

Friendliest dental office I’ve ever been to, everyone was extremely helpful and attentive. Dr. Morrison is great and really cares that you get done what you really need done and explained why it’s so important. I will refer all my friends here

I come here very often and had a pleasant experience everytime except on these last two days 4/3/19 and 4/4/19 Emily was awesome as always but the regional manager John was very rude to his employees. Emily was explaining to me about my plan of action for my daughter and he rudely inserted himself into the conversation also today (4/4/19) I was sitting there waiting for my child to come out and he walked in with a paper to give to her as she reached her hand out to take the paper he rudely tossed it at her.. Ive never been so embarrassed for a person who seemly didnt deserve this type of treatment and especially in front of customers hats off to Emily who held her composure through it all

Ive been using Friendly Dental since this location opened about 2 years ago. Ive had... less than pleasant... experiences with dentists in the past, and skipped about 3 years of checkups. Then, when I got married, my wife insisted that I start getting regular cleaning again. She worked a few doors down from this office and we gave them a try based on the opinions of some of her co-workers. Im do glad we did!The entire staff here seems genuinely excited to be at work every day. I told them my history with dentists, and they went out if their way to be kind and gentile with my sensitive mouth. Of course, after 3 years of neglect, they found a few cavities. But the process of getting them filled was physically, mentally, and emotionally painless! Dr. Burke was a godsend for me, and the doctor filling in while shes out on leave has been just as wonderful!Ive moved out of town, but I still make the 45 minute drive to visit this office.

Went in just to ask some questions and Courtney went above and beyond to make sure I had answers to everything I had asked about. It was the best experience I’ve ever had in a dental office. Will definitely be back to become a patient there.

Today was my first visit with friendly dental . I felt very welcomed the whole entire visit. The doctor didnt rush , he explained everything to me as he was examining my teeth. Overall very thorough and very friendly staff!! I am happy to have a great dentist 😬 Also they have a discount dental plan for those without dental insurance ! Very affordable plans !

Havent been to a dentist in over 3 years. Called this office to see if they accepted my insurance and they even looked me up and scheduled an appointment promptly. Extremely happy with every person I interacted with. The front desk was nice, the hygienist extremely friendly and patient. I needed a filling and was happy to have it done immediately and painlessly. The day of my appointment I even received a phone call asking if I wanted to come in early out of convenience. I was extremely impressed.

I’m extremely lucky to have found this dentist. Dr. Russell Holderness and staff only care about what is best for me. He does not rush in to do things to charge big money. I’d had cervical spine surgery so I had to be very careful with my neck. They went out of their way to make me comfortable.Today I went to have a tooth pulled and I didn’t feel a thing. He made sure that he had me numb before he ever started. The only thing I would suggest is bring your ear plugs to listen to music to drown out that sounds. Yep I forgot mine but he was still awesome and done before I realized it.I’ll never go anywhere else.

Best dentist in Durham. I have had a few things done here recently and will be continuing the rejuvenation of my teeth. Everyone is very friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for great dental work.

I had a bad experience here and would definitely not recommend it. I got a coupon in the mail for a discounted cleaning. I called and made my appointment and confirmed that I could use it. Then when I had my cleaning they told me that I would have to pay double because I needed a special, more involved kind of cleaning, not a regular one. I still dont understand what the difference was between the regular cleaning and the more involved one. The hygienist got snippy with me when I tried to ask questions. (I probably should have left at this point, but theyd already had me pay something up front.)They told me I would need fillings and quoted me a price. When I said that it seemed a little high, the dentist told me that they are the cheapest dentist in the area. (This is not true. I checked with other dentists and got the work done elsewhere.)The whole experience was bad. I did not feel like they had my best interests at heart. Instead I felt like they were trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of me and would say anything to accomplish this. I switched to another dentist, and have had a much, much better experience there.

By far the best dental office Ive been to! I am terrified of getting any dental work done and because of my terrible gag reflex, my visits are never pleasant. However, from the receptionist to the hygienest to the dentist and the assistant, I cant rate them high enough! They were very patient and gentle with me throughout the process and they explained every step of the way and remained calm, even when I seemed to be difficult and panic at times.I would recommend them to anyone looking for dental work in the Triangle area! It had been roughly 7 years since I had been to the dentist (dont judge, Im young and we all know dental is expensive) so I was VERY nervous to go again. After finding FDGoD through my provider I made and appointment and Im so glad I did. My dental assistant, Kristina (I believe her name was), was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and answered every question I had. While looking at my teeth, she explained everything she was doing (yes, I wanted to know). She kept checking in on me to make sure I was doing okay and that I wasnt hurting too much during the cleaning. I have to get some fillings and the staff at the desk was amazing too. Not only did they with help me book my next appointment, but they also made sure I understood what my insurance would cover and what it wouldnt. The only downside if theyre a bit pricey, hence the 4 stars.

Im new to the area and I found them online. Friendly Dental Group is amazing! When you walk through the door Emily and Megan make you feel welcomed. Dr. Evee and Trevor gave me a reason to smile again! I will continue to do business with them!

Such a relaxed atmosphere, everyone was super friendly, explained everything needing to be done, spoke with me before performing anything that had extra cost broke down the cost for me and offered a great deal. They did a wonderful job I will continue to go there.

Today was my first visit to the Friendly Dental Group in Durham, and they were terrific! I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and the gentleman sitting at the front desk held a conversation with me as I filled out my paperwork and waited to be taken to the back. During my cleaning and x-rays, the staff made sure to explain everything that was happening step by step. They spoke to me instead of around me. At the end of my visit, before I even had a chance to ask, they explained my insurance to me in full detail as well as what payments needed to be made and when. I am not a fan of the dentist, but I am a fan of this place. I will be back in 6 months for my next cleaning. Did I mention that my next appointment was already schedule for me before I got out of the dentist chair? Awesome customer service!

This is my husband’s and my personal experience. So.. my husband came here for a check up earlier in the middle of this year. They told him he needed a lot of fillings - we are talking like 13ish fillings; half on one side of the mouth and half on the other side. We could only afford to do one side at a time. I could not get him scheduled with my dentist (Lane and Associates) because they were booked for a couple of months. So we had the half of the mouth filled at Friendly and were going to wait a couple of months for the other half. He said that he felt as if they rushed the fillings and he could feel them in his mouth afterward. I called like 3 times for him complaining of his pain, but they said it was normal. Fast forward a couple of months... I finally got him into see Lane and Associates for a second opinion and guess what? After all the X-rays and an hour long appointment of the dentist prodding in his mouth (taking his time and being careful - not rushing), he determined he only needed ONE FILLING. And guess which one it was? One of the teeth that had already been filled by Friendly - he said it needed to be redone. No other fillings were warranted. So we paid all of this money on top of using all of our deductible for Friendly to take us for a ride. I’m scared to even think of “did the other half even really need the fillings or were they just trying to get the money”.

The dental hygienist was really sweet and informative. She let me know what she was doing before doing so to make sure i was comfortable she also answered all of my questions thoroughly.

This has been my first dentist visit in roughly five years so needless to say I was pretty nervous. The experience absolutely demolished that worry and honestly made going to the dentist not worrying at all. I would recommend Friendly Dental to anyone that needs a visit to the dentist.

Yesterday was my first appointment after leaving my old dentist for several reasons.I was half expecting to meet a dentist whose last name was Friendly or something. Turns out, EVERYBODY that works there is friendly, thorough and just inviting!Even though I didnt get my porcelain crown from them, they didnt scoff at me for asking them to recement it and I felt so comfortable there from the time I walked until I left.I would give them 10 stars if I could and Im stingy with my stars! LolSeriously though, they are two doors down from Moes so go check them out!P.S. They are holding my crown hostage in exchange for this review...IM JUST KIDDING!!!

My husband and I have been coming here since they opened. We have consistently had amazing treatment from the staff. Not only is the dentistry amazing, but the staff goes above and beyond for their clients. They are always more than happy to go over the insurance stuff that I dont understand. Im very picky when it comes to dentists (because my grandfather was a dentist) and Im so glad that Ive chosen Friendly Dental. Even after moving to Mebane I consider it worth it to drive all the way to Mebane to go to the dentist.
