Mercy orthopedic associates employees are very welcoming and courteous. They have absolutely clean lobbies and their restrooms are super clean. The workers are very nice and helpful and also the board on the wall is very awesome. Its easy to use to find a location you are looking for. The doctors are very nice and are very diligent and they answer every question you might have . Most of all, everything you need is right there in that same building, like other clinics. No need to driving elsewhere and theres even a restaurant in the same area. Its really a great place. I would pick Mercy for all my health care needs. This was was first time visiting Mercy . I find it very interesting and exciting. You all are doing a wonderful job, you all get a pat on your backs. God bless you all, thank you, first responders.

Every one who I have had dealings with in this office have been super helpful and just all around really nice. Genna (Dr. Smiths nurse) is just the best. She is very sweet and oh so very helpful and understanding. Dr Smith, he is a really great surgeon and has a great bedside manner. He doesnt mind spending time no matter how much that is with his patients. Thats why I gave him a 5.

Dr. Kim Furry saw me today , a little over three months post surgery. She asked how both my ankle and wrist were doing, and listened to the details I gave her. She then showed me the x-rays of both (which were taken today) and reviewed them with me, pointing out where the fractures had been and that they had healed. Dr. Furry also pointed out the hardware in each, and that everything was in place. She had observed me walking into the exam room & felt I was walking well at this time. Dr. Furry also did some simple manipulation of both my ankle & wrist to see how they were functioning. She told me to expect ups and downs in my progress as I heal, and to expect everything to take about a year and a half before they would reach their full potential. She is a top notch doctor and surgeon!

Had to schedule another visit with Dr Stilwell this afternoon. Still having significant pain in big toe on right foot.My rsting has dropped due to continued pain.

Dr. LaBaum was informative about where my bones are now, the medication for me now and possible direction for later as well. He and his staff are friendly and professional. He did not rush through the office visit.

Dr. Bret Smith has been my foot doctor for only a short time but his expertise has impacted my quality of life having had had a successful right foot surgery 3 months ago.He is always kind, caring, on time, responsive to my concerns and he is an amazing doctor who is experienced in extensive foot reconstruction. I have been going to Durango Orthopedics for several years and I have had 2 operations. EVERYONE in this office is awesome from the Drs. to the receptionists! You won’t find better care!

I had foot health questions based on a very painful foot experience 2 weeks ago. Dr. Stilwell took x-rays to confirm the orthopedic status of my feet. It turns out that my feet are in pretty good shape and can feel better and stay stronger with orthotics and the correct footwear. He provided explanations and lists of footwear. He answered my questions and met my goals for my appointment. I learned a lot. He helped me know how to begin a foot wellness program. Im beginning today. Thank you for your help, Dr. Stilwell!

Clayton Labaume is an outstanding Gentleman and always meets my needs. He is consistent in his care, great bedside manner an I am very comfortable in asking him questions about my bone health and health in general. If questions, he finds the answers. I feel extremely blessed to have him taking care of me. We have seen Dr. Matthew Smith for a minor surgery as well as three different broken bones on our kiddos, and we really appreciate all hes done for us! Hes taken the time to listen to all of our concerns and explain thoroughly the pros and cons of surgery. I was in an urgent need to be seen for a medical situation on my foot but didn’t have an appointment scheduled. I called the office and was told when the next available appointment was...5 days away! To my surprise, they went above and beyond to squeeze me in and I limped out with much less pain and a renewed appreciation for the system. I feel confident that my issue was treated with utmost care and attention.

Dr. Rebecca Goranson is THE cats pajamas. Extremely professional but also cares about you as an individual and treats you like you hope to be treated as a patient. You’re not just another number on the calendar, you are a human being in need of care and her and her staff are there just for that.

Looking forward to having work done on my left foot ..now that the right ankle is fixed.. Becca is a wealth of knowledge.. only talked to Dr.Bret Smith for a few minutes but he did a great job. .

I saw Dr Bret Smith yesterday (Nov 2, 2020) to discuss an ankle replacement for the end stage arthritis in my left ankle. Although ankle replacements aren’t as common as knee replacements, I was pleasantly surprised to hear Dr Smith has performed over 1000 ankle replacements so far in his career. Since outcomes for replacement surgeries are affected by the experience of the surgeon performing them this was very good news. I would add Dr Bret Smith isn’t “old” (like I am 🙃).Even more important to me, he was friendly and patient considering the large number of questions I had for him. Perhaps best of all his estimates for recovery times and likelihood of a good outcome were very encouraging. Dr Bret Smith has been at Mercy about a year. I think we’re lucky to have him!

My teenage daughter had an injury to her growth plate in her foot the day before volleyball tryouts and he was so considerate of her emotions and worked with her to where she could still practice but keep her foot safe and secure and it healed well and she is playing again now a few weeks later. Very impressed with the level of care and compassion.

Im older and dont move as quickly as I once did and not at top of my game . Ok and my ex husband used to say I could get lost in a funnel. So I was late to 1st appointment...long story, but I really appreciated them getting me in without the lecture. There were several questions I need to ask, like how often will I need shots (or how often can I get them) and do I get PT referance from Trevor or Maria? ....but neglecting to ask those questions was my fault.

Appointment was on time, no waiting, shown to my room and Cara was very efficient and Wylie was prompt.

I suffered a knee injury in June of 2020. I severed two ligaments and tore a third. Dr. Matt Smith performed two surgeries to fix the ligaments. He and his PA-c Casey Roberts did an outstanding job. Dr. Smiths nurse Jenna was also incredibly kind and helpful whenever I had any questions or concerns.

I would give this place less if I could. After I was prepped for my surgery, I was informed by my doctor that my surgery would be rescheduled due to circumstances in the OR. Okay. After asking to elaborate, I was given no answers. I finally learned from the Herald that there was a sterilization breech. Okay. But then on my rescheduled surgery date, my doctor brushed off the fact that I cant take NSAIDS and told me to do so after my surgery for pain. I was treated like a seeker even though they could easily check the PDMP website and see that Im just a person who is in genuine pain. Go to Animas Ortho. Maybe theyll treat you like a real person there.

My husband went there to get his knee looked at. They didnt know what Osgood Schlatter is, turned him away with no help and no recommendations. Thoroughly disappointed, but its Mercy so Im not surprised unfortunately.

Every time I have an appointment I am handled quickly, professionally , and friendly.

Dr. Smith was thorough in his examination and explained what happened to my ankle and where the hairline fracture is and my recovery process.Update: The healing process continues! Im progressing nicely! Anew lace up brace and some home therapy!

Dr Stillwell was very personable, excellent in explaining my issue, lots of ideas how to work on it, good ideas that were NOT super expensive unlike another doctor suggested. Very thorough and pleasant to learn from.

If ever I have issues with my hands at all, I call Dr Anderson. He is the best at what he does, and I trust him completely. The staff is wonderful, and very helpful too. We drive from SF, and I would drive from out of state if I had to.

There was virtually no waiting room time, they were thorough with the x-rays and I especially appreciated the honest opinion to go with conservative treatment vs surgery for the issue I went in with. (This was a second opinion- first recommended surgery which I learned from the doc has a significant failure rate).

I had a good visit. My incision was not closing right. I had exrays done and I dropped my cane on my foot. I cried a little... the nurse was caring and and concerned for my pain and feelings. Dr. William (Brent) Smith cleaned my wound and applied zip tie closures on the make the wound heal. Im happy with the results.

Dr. Anderson has a great “bedside manner”. Very easy to talk with. He answered all of my questions. His assistant Courtney was also very pleasant.

Dr. Mallet was very professional and after viewing my x-rays she explained my injuries sustained in the horrible fall I had in front of the Food Entrance of Wal-Mart in Durango. She told me the BURSA had sustained bruising and was causing the pain Ive endured for well over a month. She recommended a steroid shot in the Bursa on my left hip and a follow up with Physical Therapy. I agreed with her prognosis and had the steroid shot that day in the exam room and left the Drs office with the name and phone # of a Physical Therapist office in Bayfield close to my home. Im extremely satisfied with her hands on approach to my healing and will call for a follow up in a month as advised.

They were really fast. I did not care for the front receptionist and her lack of caring but everyone else was really kind and efficient. Casey who did was injection was great
