Love it there at creature comforts! My dog looks forward to visiting each time we head in that direction, lol!! My dog and I both enjoy the treat section, there is a wide selection of treats for dogs on limited ingredient diets.

Wide selection but lacking depth. Gets the basics of different animals well, but selection within each is a little lacking. If they got your brand and product, perfect! Good for pet snacks and on the road emergency items

Came in for toys and asked about a rare food brand. My initial visit was not very good because of customer service and I gave it 1 star, but the owners reached out quickly and apologized and did their best to make it right. Thats pretty rare today to have customer service revisited like that so Im giving them 3 stars now and will come back to try the store out another time.

I will never go here again. They sold us something that was repackaged but said that it was still unused. We opened it up and it was obvious that it had been used! So then it did not work for our puppy so we tried to return it and they refused. We pretty much threw away $60 because of this place. If I could I would leave zero stars.

Creature Comforts has the best selection of pet food and their staff is extremely knowledgeable. I have 5 dogs and their staff helped me make the transition from the average run of the mill pet kibble to a good, balanced and semi raw diet that will ensure the longevity of my furry family. Their selection is stellar and they always have what I want in stock. Though I have shopped at other stores in town, the staff at Creature comforts in my opinion is the most knowledgeable and up to date with their ever expanding knowledge of whats going on in the pet food industry. Several of their staff have extensive knowledge and can definitely educate you on the best balanced diet to feed your animals. During this pandemic, I have appreciated their consistent hours, their constant stock of supplies and their concern for their customers and their animals. They have forever earned my business and I will not be shopping anywhere else as they are the best in town! The owners have done a great job in the training of their staff and catering to the needs of their customers. Thank you to the owners for running such a quality Pet store. We got there about a half hour after they closed last night and the owners opened the store and helped us find puppy food. They spent like twenty minutes helping us and playing with our new rescue pup. Who does that? Amazing customer service for sure. THIS is why we love shopping local.

Durango is lucky to have a HUGE home owned store like Creature Comforts. We started taking our dog there for training and I have to say that this place is amazing. They do everything there and have a big indoor training room, a visiting vet and an amazing groomer. Love Love Love going to Creature Comforts!

They have a large selection of any sort of pet needs. I have a dog named Zero and a cat named Freya; I purchase their food, litter and toys here!

This place has been my go-to pet supply place for over twenty years. They have recently expanded and it is a really fun place to visit with my kids. We just got a new kitten and their staff helped us pick out foods and treats. Super friendly!

I do not ever write google reviews but this has to be done! Not veteran friendly. The owners NEVER wear a mask like theyre supposed to. Veronica was not helpful at all and somewhat snippy. If I could give them 0 stars trust me I would. The owners were also not friendly at all and when asked a question they completely disregarded me as if I did not exist. The owners and some of the staff are VERY dismissive. Hannah was the only one who was actually helpful and kind. Will NOT be going back since I was treated so poorly!

Unfriendly staff. Wish there were zero stars to give. Pet Haus off of main is smaller but at least they sell the same stuff and they have SUPER friendly staff! Dont waste your time at Creature Comforts.

Good selection on dog food, treats, toys, etc. Its pricy but worth it

We are new to Durango and were so happy to find this local pet store. In a short time we have spent lots of money on specialized dog food and puppy toys. Sadly, we learned, after our Lab puppy destroyed a Ruff Wear toy in less than 3 hours on Christmas day, that Creature Comforts does not stand by dog toys bought in their store. The toy clearly had a defect. Instead, it was recommended that we go directly to Ruff Wear. Its hard to buy local when the store does not stand by products bought in their store.

After coming in on a few different occasions I can confidently say they have some of the most knowledgeable staff regarding pet products. Ive learned so much about what to feed my dogs and what to avoid. They have a large selection of products and can help you understand what can help make your pet the happiest and healthiest! I have had to wait a few times in line, but its always been because the staff is advising customers or engaging in friendly conversation. Ill continue to shop here for my doggos needs :)

I adore this shop, only place we ever go anymore. Its not cramped, the employees make you feel welcome, great selection of foods, toys and treats and so much more- i found a powder i add to my dog food that helps with bad pupper breaths!!! They are the best - highly recommended!!

Creature Comforts is my favorite pet store in the entire four corners!! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! These are serious pet nutrition experts that can help you with any specialty need. They have a large variety of products and the prices are reasonable. The best part is that this store is locally owned and isnt part of a large corporation. That allows for a amazing family vibe to the space where workers are personable.

Meghan (Owner) has worked with my dogs for years! She’s the best at clicker training and has incredible patience and skill! Both she and Alan are some of the most caring animal lovers there out there and it’s amazing that they’ve got this shop! It’s a great place for reasonably priced products and training! They are professional, friendly and passionate about making a difference in the live of our domesticated friends and their families. I highly recommend it!

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and their selection of dog food is very extensive. The only thing I wish they had more of is edible teething toys.

The new owners Meghan and Alan are truly wonderful people! They care so much about our sweet fur babies and making sure we have the supplies needed to care for them in this rural community. They work so hard and are so generous giving so much to our community. It really is so nice to see business owners like them still exist. I highly recommend them for all your pet supplies, grooming, and training needs.

Creature Comforts is my favorite pet supply store. I have been purchasing food and treats for my dogs there for several years. They have a wide selection of products and the staff has always been friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Each time I shop there I am greeted by a staff member and someone always asks if I need help finding anything.

The owners were fantastic. We were having a dog food crisis and they stayed open for us to drive to them. They then helped us to find what we needed and allowed us to look around for additional items that were not vital. We would certainly recommend this clean store with great variety!

Amazing pet store and staff! They have so many options for the fur kids, its unreal. We visited from out of state and my Boxer has very specific needs, with their help we found all of the things he needed to continue our vacation just right.

I actually went to their dog groomer ( I have a border collie/corgi mix). She sheds all year round. I was very pleased while the services. Pricing is reasonable and very petfriendly .Lots of parking and handicapped accessible. Creature Comforts is exceptionally well stocked for dogs,cats,birds etc. Multitude of food choices and toys. Plus its LOCAL!!

Fantastic store! Good for higher end pet food, treats, beds, and so much more. Great helpful workers and there are always doggies to pet and visit with, as the owners have a very relaxed attitude towards animals. Definitely bring yours when you visit!

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I went with my daughter, Jackie, yesterday to get her dog, Raven Kruis, groomed. She has been groomed many times, however, this was her first time here. The groomer stated she had to cut Ravens hair shorter than Jackie wanted due to her difficult, thick coat. This has never been a problem with other groomers! Raven is a Border Collie mixed breed. She looked nice at first glance. However, when we got home, we discovered her entire underbelly had been shaved to the skin. Including her genital area (her tail is always up). We also found several areas where the coat was uneven, and cut shorter, as if they didnt know how to use clippers. I would think the groomers would be aware of how important a dogs coat is for UV protection, especially here in Colorado! My daughter is flying out of the country next week, and this just gave her more stress. I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares about their dog! Raven also acted traumatized, which has never happened.

Creator Comforts is our go-to for dog food and supplies. They expanded recently to allow for better training facilities. They also carry a lot of specialty pet items. The staff is friendly and helpeful. Best part, dogs on leash are allowed in the store!

I went in the store on Sunday, at 11:53a.m. I was the only customer in the store. I walked in and three employees are at the registers talking. Not one of them said hi or asked if they could help me? I guess I interrupted their personal coversation (they all looked at me and said nothing) and they could care about a customer - the only customer in the store!!! I just got a puppy so I was looking for a specific brand. Finally, one of the girls who was walking to the back anyway asked me if I needed help. She did help me find what I was looking for and went back to what she was doing. She knew I was getting puppy food, wouldnt the next line of conversation be do you need anything else to help with the puppy? When I went to pay for the food, the other two girls were still talking. The one that rang me up was a little friendly but only because I engaged her in conversation. I wouldnt go here again. Dont they realize that we have a lot of stores to choose from in this town? A little friendliness goes a long way. I didnt feel appreciated at all. I hope the owner knows what a detriment the three of these employees were/are and make some changes. What retail store doesnt have employees greet you when a customer comes in? Unbelievable that they would lie like that - what I described is what happened while I was there. What motivation would I have to write a bad review unless it was warranted. Dont shop here - not only do they dont appreciate your business but they then lie about what happened. The time I provided was when I checked out (written on my receipt) View the videotape prior to this and you will see what happened. To infer that I was being dishonest speaks volumes of how you do business!!!!!
