I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Pinkerton and her team. They are generous of spirit and have the nurturing heart that kids need. I feel at home and so taken care of when we are there. It is one of the businesses in Durango that is hitting it out of the park as far as customer connection and service. My daughter had to have two primary teeth removed and our regular dentist sold his practice. We had to find someone to pull these teeth that my daughter would feel comfortable with. I had really hoped to like this place but unfortunately no.Our experience was not very good. Doctor and staff made us for guilty for the problems with our childs teeth. Procedure was very expensive and scheduled far out. After less than a year, two of his cavity fillings broke. Dentist who fixed it said it wasnt very good work. Would not return to this office.

Doctor was harsh towards me when I entered the room to comfort my baby neighbour. Also harsh in telling me not to touch the toys. I understand this pandemic is stressful but she could have been more tactful.

They always explain what they are going to do, show the kids (and parent!) the tools and make everyone feel comfortable. The office is kid friendly, clean and comfortable. This is the BEST Pediatric dental practice in the area! All of the staff are amazing with children no matter what ages they are. My oldest who is now 13 has been going sto this office since she got her first tooth and her siblings have also. It is super important for kids to have positive dental experiences to carry over into adulthood and my children have had just that each time they step though the door. We love all the ladies here! ❤️❤️❤️

We have 6 kids so appointment for us take up a lot of time. We love the staff here and Dr Pinkerton. I had some anxiety about a procedure a child needed to have done. Dr Pinkerton took her time to explain in detail and helped calm my mommy nerves.Cleanings are always quick and fun for the kids. None of our children have anxiety about the dentist thanks to the wonderful staff.

You know, this might be a good dentist office in terms of service, but I cant respect a place that bills for services that arent provided.When I took my 1-year old daughter there to get a check up, she had just gotten two teeth that broke through her gums and that was it. I was charged for an evaluation, which is reasonable. However, I was also charged for prophylaxis, which a big word for teeth cleaning. In the case of my daughter, they brushed her two tooth nubs for about 10 seconds and charged me $57 for that service.Give me a break. I try to support my local professionals whenever I can, but this is the kind of practice that indicates that this office doesnt care about their community members. Billing like this also leads to medical price inflation.Needless to say, I am going to find another dentist that gives their clients the care they deserve. Durango Kids, youve disappointed me.

I took my three year old daughter to Durango Kids Pediatric Dentistry last week for her first ever visit to the dentist. It was a great experience. They showed my daughter all the tools they would be using to clean her teeth and she got to hear the sounds the tools made which I think made it easier for her to relax. When they were cleaning her teeth they had a TV on the ceiling with cartoons on so she could watch. They also had headphones so she could listen. At the end they gave her a little prize and a goody bag with floss, toothbrush, and sticker. Dr. Pinkerton took a long time to go over things with us and discuss thumb sucking. I didnt feel rushed which I really appreciate.

My children have been patients at Durango Kids Pediatric Dentistry for years. Everyone there is great at explaining our options and what my kids can do to improve their dental health. Dr. Pinkerton and all of the staff are wonderful and we are lucky to have them here in Durango, Colorado!

I have had 2 children that Ive taken to Durango Pediatric Dentistry. They are all amazing I have to drive 2 hours to get to them, but it is so worth having my kids feel at ease at the dentist. They are AMAZING!!

Great dentist for kids (go figure). They have a video game in the lobby and give kids a toy in addition teeth cleaning items. Quick and friendly service. Their intake software was a little clunky and was quite a chore to fill out for my 3 kids, but not a big deal.

Dr. Pinkerton and the entire staff are AWESOME!!! Our 6 year old is always treated wonderful and doesnt have any fear of going to the dentist. Highly recommend to all families in the Four Corners!!!!! Absolutely FANTASTIC all of the time!!!!

We love coming to DKPD! All the hygienists are kid friendly and great at explaining to the kids what they are going to do. My kids feel relaxed and look forward to coming as a result. Dr. Pinkerton is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and enjoys kids. We are completely satisfied with the service and care we get here. The kids absolutely enjoy getting to pick a toy out of the treasure chest. I would highly recommend bringing your kids to DKPD!

Fantastic care and great staff. Lets just call my son a threenager and hes not the easiest to handle when forced to do things... they handled him with grace and patience. Hes been going here since he was 18 months old, this last appointment was the hardest and they were amazing. Also very knowledgeable of any health questions you might have. I couldnt recommend them more for your pediatric dentist needs.

I have only been a couple of times, but have had good experiences. Dr. Pinkerton was very helpful and is also an orthodontist which is very helpful with my daughters dental issues. They are very efficient and the staff was friendly.

This place is horrible!!! For the sake of your children RUN. My son had a fear of the dentist and they made it much worse!!! They were yelling shut up at him and telling him he was just crying for no reason and he was being ridiculous. He was 7 years old!!! They knew they did wrong because when they came out all of the staff was standing close to me thinking after what aTHEY heard I as a parent was about to hurt the doctor!! Run!!! Called to make an appointment for my kids. The lady was rude when she asked what my insurance was. I told her, and she said that I had to make sure if my provider would pay for it. Makes sense, but she didnt need to be rude about it. Smiles for kids checked for me before I made the appointment. Thats litterally all she had to do, instead of have attitude when I said Id pay for it weather or not my insurance covered it.

The staff is unprofessional. I value good customer service and my kids have been going there since their first tooth, never do they remember you. I get treated poorly when it comes to communication time I get a condescending valley girl accent big no always. They will schedule phantom appointments charge you and have no attempt resolve it.The dentist is ok but costumer service is unbelievably unprofessional and bias that makes people feel unimportant and boy! do I see it in the waiting room.
