They are nice people but the office is unorganized and I had to call multiple times for my results and medicine.

I really like Dr. Lawrence but dislike calling and calling and calling to get anything done, repeat calling to get meds filled. the office staff are nice but totally ineffectual. I was once left in the office exam room for over 3.5 hours cause the Dr. was busy, only saw student med for about 15 min in the first hour. I just dont have the time or patience for this practice. I have now started seeing another doctor that has been highly recommended by 2 of my other specialists. I will not slam the doctor but I just cant handle this practice any longer.

The wait can be really long, and she can be a bit scattered lol and forget me. But I think its because she is that good, always thinking of a way to help, of something new. Treats me like a case study,Completely involved, best way I could explain it. I appreciate her frazzled genius lol crazy brilliant!

I love Dr Lawrence. She has always done great for my osteoarthritis. She has always worked with me, instead of handing down orders, like some doctors do. Patients drive to her office from miles away to see her. They wont see any other doctor. But for my fibromyalgia, she prescribes my medication, and nothing else. Im beginning to wonder if I need a fibro doctor who keeps up with current research results. Right now, Im the one who has to stay on top of that, and I cant always do it in a timely manner. Maybe Dr Lawrence has so many patients, she cant keep up with things like that? The staff are friendly and incompetent. I love them. They do schedule my appointments appropriately. BUT FOR YEARS: 1. They never called me to let me know when they received my medication so I could pick it up, despite repeated requests to do so. 2. When I do call to ask if my medication is in, they cant find it. Thats how I got one of my meds a year later in 2016 that were filled in 2015. 3. I had to backtrack & find out who in their office signed when, to prove to them they had one of my medications & get them to find it. 4. They cant follow instructions on paperwork. I tried to work with them for months trying to get one of my medications, but they kept faxing the paperwork to the wrong place, in spite of the clearly written instructions & years of practice. I ran out of that one in May 2016 & didnt get a refill until Feb 2017, when they handed off the refill oversight to my primary care physician. And it was the type of medication youre not supposed to stop taking suddenly. These are critical issues that have never been resolved in the years I have been seeing Dr Lawrence.I always schedule my appointments to be before 9 a.m. in the Duluth office. That way, I only have to spend 2-2.5 hours in Dr Lawrences office. If I schedule my appointments later than that, I spend at least 4 hours in their office.I dont know what appointments are like in the Lawrenceville office.Bottom line: These are friendly lovable people. Dr Lawrence always hugs me when I see her.Dr Lawrence is a good doctor, unless you have an illness that is under constant study because no one knows what causes it or why the same therapy doesnt work for all the patients with that illness. The office staff can handle appointments. If you need them to handle other things for you, find a different doctor with a competent office staff, or expect to spend lots of time following up on what you need.
