The mobility measurements and x-rays taken at the beginning of my treatment, combined with Dr. Coreys in depth explanation and understanding of that information, painted a very clear picture. We could clearly see where I was out of alignment in my right pelvis and upper neck, and Dr. Corey explained how that happens, and how we could start to realign those areas again. Im very happy with the progress so far. After about 1 month of treatment, I already have increased range of motion, less pain, and overall greater relaxation in my neck, back, and pelvis areas. Based on the progress so far, I am confident I will have a solid foundation of alignment to maintain personally when the treatment is over. I called the Chiropractic Health Center and explained to them that I was having almost unbearable pain in my left shoulder blade that was radiating down my arm and up into my neck— this was making it close to impossible to care for my new baby. They got me in very quickly and not only did they treat me with kindness and respect but they also made me feel like family. Emma greets me by name every time she sees me and takes the stress out of scheduling/rescheduling appointment. Dr. Corey is professional but is also great at making you feel heard and comfortable. He managed to alleviate my pain after only 2 appointments and by the third appointment I could hardly notice it anymore. I’m back to caring for my baby and getting much needed sleep again! A couple months ago in the weeks leading up to my wedding, I had a pain in my neck that started going down my back that made simple tasks difficult and painful. I finally reached out to Chiropractic Health Center and Dr. Corey met me with such kindness that eased my anxieties and he healed my neck and back. While pregnant I was told, by a chiropractor I used to go to, that they could not help me. I changed to Chiropractor Health Center shortly after and was helped and adjusted accordingly! They helped me through my whole pregnancy, being very mindful of it. After my daughter was born I went to be adjusted and was informed they were able to adjust her too! Not only do I get adjusted but my daughter does too now and I am in love! My daughter is 3 months old now and has been adjusted and cared for the whole time. Along with that the staff are amazing, and very knowledgeable. The place is very clean and organized. I would reccomend anyone to give them a chance!

I had such a great experience at this office. Dr Greg and Dr Kara are both fabulous and really compliment one another. I feel like both doctors are into health care for the right reason giving excellent and compassionate health care. I had other types of care for my chronic back pain prior to trying chiropractic which never gave me as much relief and frankly was more costly. I appreciate the educational component as well. If you are prescribed therapy definitely schedule with Shannon-hands down rock star and really knows her stuff! My only gripe is that the office is busy and getting a convenient appointment time can be difficult. I sometimes had to be late for work or leave work early when I had a lot of appointments early in my treatment. In the end the great care and being without nagging back pain is totally worth it!

Im a younger college student who went in for neck pain caused by a possible pinched nerve. The atmosphere itself is very professional, but I received no education on what may be wrong with me, why they were doing what they were doing, or how much it would be until after they had done an x-ray, ultrasound, and the cracking itself. I told them I have never been to a chiropractor before, and it felt as if they took advantage of that- cracking my neck while I was sitting on a normal chair, not even sitting on the table. She barely took a look at my neck before coming up to me and just cracking it!! I know that is the way it isnt done. Didnt feel good at all afterward... more pain to be honest. Felt very rushed. Although I understand chiropractic treatments arent meant to bring immediate relief, I did not feel in good hands. Did not go back after my first appointment. Thought the great reviews would result in a great treatment, but may not be the case for those who are younger and who they may not take seriously. Will not be going back.

I have been a client to this clinic for a couple of different injuries and even some monthly care afterwards to keep it up. I will say it’s a professional atmosphere and their staff is very nice. However, the interactions don’t feel genuine. I felt like I was being manipulated. The doctors are quite pushy with treatment. Although I am grateful for some relief I received while treating there, I will not be back.

Ive seen several chiropractors over the last two decades to help with a chronic neck issue. The level of care and professionalism at the Chiropractic Health Center is incredible. I feel like my discomfort and pain is treated seriously. They gave me a rehabilitation schedule that strengthened my muscles and prevent further injury. I dont just go there to get my neck cracked, I go there to heal a chronic injury.

The best care from chiropractic treatments Ive ever had! My back, neck and hips are pain free. Its wonderful to be greeted with big smiles from the staff who are fabulous and let you know up front what your out of pocket expenses cost will be. Also the doctors are very timely, you are not place in a room and left for 15 minutes. The office is decorated beautifully with soothing colors, plus there is water and coffee available while in the waiting area...but you better drink fast you wont be there long. I would highly recommend checking them out, you wont need to go elsewhere.

When I first seeked out chiropractic help I couldnt sleep for weeks because my back hurt to much. After 2 months of adjustments many times a week down to just a few times a month, Im back on my feet. Due to my background in farming, weightlifting, and football, I have seen various chiropractors over the years, but have not felt compelled to write a review (I very seldom write reviews about anything) of the service I experienced, but the exceptional care I received at Chiropractic Health Center has prompted me to write this review.In 2017, I woke with severe neck pain. The pain was intense enough that I needed to receive treatment that morning. I quickly read reviews of multiple chiropractic offices and made some phone calls to see who had a schedule opening. By chance, Chiropractic Health Center was able to see me that morning.I was anticipating a quick adjustment to start and then maybe a couple subsequent visits till the pain and discomfort became bearable. Dr. Kara McGillivray treated me that morning, but also urged me to schedule time for a more thorough diagnosis. I made the appointment and the staff performed x-rays and other functional tests to determine I had compressed discs in my neck. Simply incredible! I severely threw my back out last Thursday, just about a week before Christmas. I couldnt get into a chiropractor I had seen in the past, despite the seriousness of my injury, so i just went anywhere that was open and could get me in.These guys got me in and Kara went above and beyond to get me the care I desperately needed over the next couple of days! My first appointment I literally hobbled up the ramp into the building. I was hunched over, hands on my knees, one shuffled step at a time due to the pain. For perspective, I gave birth unmedicated, so Im no wimp when it comes to pain,but just walking with this back injury had me in tears.By the time I left after my first appointment I was at least standing upright again, and only continued to improve over the next few appointments. They got me from almost completely debilitated to still being able to host our family Christmas a week later. Had it not been for them I would have been in pain through my 6 month old sons first Christmas! Cant thank them enough!

After 3 weeks of pain and nearly complete loss of sensation in one hand, I became concerned. I (begrudgingly) made an appointment for myself because I was dropping things due to my symptoms, and that just isn’t cool. I have seen chiropractors in the past. But I must say, thisclinic is AWESOME! Dr. Kara McGillivray cares deeply about thepatient. She is a highly compassionate professional and wants to seepatients get better as soon as possible.For nearly 2 months, I’ve been dealing with episodes of intense painthat would come on suddenly in my right hip and would experience thisalmost daily. The pain would come on suddenly and would last about 20mins or so. After a major car accident 3 years ago, I have suffered major neck pain and headaches. Have tried chiro/pt/massage in Mpls with not much relief. I heard about this clinic and decided to drive 2 1/2 hours each way for my treatment and I am so glad that I did. With the comprehensive evaluation, decompression and laser treatments to help my adjustments I got significant relief in a short period of time. I was given a home exercise plan that I follow which really helps keep me feeling much better. On top of the great treatment given by the Docs, the office is gorgeous, calming and absolutely spotless. Staff are always friendly and helpful. If you are suffering from chronic pain, I highly recommend that you try this place!

I have a chronic back issue that requires adjustment when flared up. I had been to other chiropractors in Duluth but to no avail--relief eluded me. After one visit here, I was walking better. I’ve been going here for the past few years for back and neck pain. It’s helped me out so much. They have a great facility and great staff.

They were friendly. But, when I came in and described my issue x-rays were taken but nothing done to fix the issue. Then I was asked to come in later. I presumed that payment would be required once I came in for the second time and work was actually completed. Instead, I received a bill that was upwards of $45 (pretty standard). Perhaps they simply like to be thorough but in this case thoroughness happens to be lucrative. Upon visiting another chiropractor the issue was discussed and solved same day and I only had to pay once.

My husband, children, mother in law as well as myself have been patients of Drs. Kara and Greg for years now. When you walk into the office you are greeted by friendly staff along with a stylish and calming decor. I have suffered with herniated and degenerated discs in my back for years, and while my back doesn’t always hurt there have been times when it is so bad I am literally crawling, as I am unable to walk. Chiropractic Health Center has given me so much hope of being able to restore my back and avoid unwanted surgery. From the initial diagnosis, treatment plan, follow up evaluations, I would be lost with out the McGilvary’s’! The sincerity, genuineness, professionalism and love for their patients is TOP NOTCH! I cant thank Kara and Greg enough for their life-changing work. I have been a runner my whole life and had such bad hip pain that I couldnt run for two years. After a few sessions at Chiropractic Health Center I was running again with NO hip pain. They used a combination of adjustments and laser therapy to get me back to my normal self. I should have seen them sooner!

Ive been a patient for one year and my back pain is almost completely gone. They have multiple different tools theyve used with me. The care is prompt and extremely friendly. They have worked on my knee for the past month and it has improved greatly. The different therapies and tools theyve used are fantastic; they helped me with laser therapy, ultra-sound, TENS unit, exercises, and adjustments. I have scoliosis and they have kept my spine in much better health than my previous experiences elsewhere.

I just moved to Duluth for college and needed to find a new chiropractor since I have been going my entire life in Minneapolis. I have been a gymnast for several years and have had various injuries. After asking my roommates and employer for a recommendation, I was sent to Drs McGillivray. I cant express how much I love the entire office! I am pain free and have been given the instructions to keep myself from relapsing. The office is beautiful and professional. the staff are well trained and treat me like family. The docs explain everything so that I know exactly what to expect and what I also need to do to participate in my own health care.

CHC is by far the best choice I could have made for my health. After going to four of five Chiropractors over a 10 year period and not having much success, I finally found Dr. McGillivray. Having had years of neck, back, sciatica and carpal tunnel issues, they were able to identify the cause of my pain, understand I needed relief and develop a plan of treatment.I have been so pleased with the care I have received. Over the last year I have gone to different doctors and chiropractors in the twin cities and surrounding areas for a bulging disc in my lower back. Everyone told me there was nothing that could be done and I would just have to get used to the pain. My first visit, with Kara, I had an x-ray done and was counseled on their Spinal Decompression therapy which they thought would help me tremendously. I have been going to them for treatments with the spinal decompression machine and therapy along with adjustments for a month and a half now and have had great improvements. I am at least 80% better then when I started. I went from taking advil many times a day to not using any advil or tylenol at all. All the staff are very professional and know exactly what they are talking about at all times. They make you feel very welcome and comfortable. The rooms are also very comfortable because they are very clean and well maintained.

I am absolutely impressed by the care Ive recieved! When I first walked into Dr.Greg and Dr. Karas Office, I knew hardly anything about chiropractic care, all I knew was that I was in such severe pain I was in tears and on the floor unable to walk at all. I had previously spent 8 weeks seeing 2 doctors, 2 physical therapists, and doing the at home excersises I was given, but I continued to get worse. Thats when I went to see these amazing chiropractors! After just 1 week of care here, Im beyond happy. Im walking with no pain. Im driving again, and getting back to my life after over 2 months of this. All it took was the best chiropractors in Minnesota! They really care, are so nice, very compassionate, and overall I highly recommend!!

There is very little, if any waiting time. Dr. Greg and Dr. Kara listen to your issues and with the help of diagnostic x-rays and a thorough exam can determine the best treatment option for each individual. I have been a patient for over 3 years and have always received the best care from Dr. Kara, Dr. Greg, and all the staff at the Chiropractic Health Center. I have used the decompression table, and the cold laser therapy, along with chiropractic adjustments, and together they have done wonders for my injury. Typically I walk in there in extreme pain, and always walk out with that pain minimized.They create an extensive treatment plan, which is completely personalized. Including treatment, therapy, and exercises. After years of chronic issues being dismissed my doctors, I finally have some answers and a care plan. This place is great and they will look at your entire being not just your back pain. They take measurements and xrays. Ive suffered from chronic migraines, chronic digestion issues,fatigue, sleep issues, and chronic pain and doctor kara was great. I feel great after the adjustment and therapy, and after almost 10 years of suffering and doctors dismissing me I finally have releid and a course of action that will relieve my pain and improve my over all health. This place is awesome! I had my Lower and Mid Back out of place in severe pain from a serious vehicle accident on 08/02/18, had shooting pain down my left leg, couldn’t sleep, work, or pretty much do anything. Dr Greg, and Dr Kara diagnosed my problems, performed non invasive adjustments and started me on their decompression machine, Ultrasound and Stretching Excesizes. With in the first Month the leg pain was gone, and as of today I’m back to work at full capacity. Words can’t express my gratitude, this place as I stated is awesome! They know what they’re doing, listen to clients and adjust treatments to improve healing techniques 1000 stars in my opinion.

Our daughter had a serious hip injury at a hockey game. She was not able to lift her leg. As parents we were scared and could not get into clinic. We called the Chiropractor Health Center and they were able to get her in by 9:00 AM. Dr Kara provided a clear plan including laser treatment. After just three days she was able to skate again without a problem and developed only a tiny bruise. Other kids on her current and past teams have had similar injuries and have been off skates for two weeks or more. I highly recommend Laser treatment and believe it made the difference!

Several years ago I went to the Chiropractic Health Ctr with debilitating spine and neck pain. My family doctor could not help me, but after several months with Drs. Greg and Kara I was pain free! The staff are very thorough with their assessment at the initial intake. I have only been here twice and get the impression that assessment of my overall conditions will be assessed at each visit. My tests were reviewed with me the next day and clearly explained where the degeration was occuring; at least where it could be seen on these tests. I have been left with hope for increased spinal improvement. Previous chiropractic care has had difficulty manipulating my thoracic spine; this Dr. knows her stuff!Thank you!

Kara and Greg are fantastic at what they do! Our family has used them for sports related injuries and recovery has been swift. There are several reasons why we will always use them.1. The office/treatment equipment is gorgeous and modern. From the moment you walk in you know this is a provider that is a professional and who takes great pride in their work. It shows in every aspect of their office from the laser treatment to the printer to their staff.2. Professionalism. They are good at fixing busted up patients! They routinely attend seminars and classes that focus on the latest treatments and methods. Their experience with these treatment methods shows as your recovery time is faster and you feel better sooner. Time is money.3. Attention to detail. This is very important to me. I brought my kid in for a hockey related back injury. We went thru a detailed questionnaire and conversation about how the injury occurred. It was thorough and specific; Kara took her time and didnt rush thru it. We were the priority. No quick fix but rather a zeroed in approach to the problem. She developed a plan for treatment and implemented it. Her approach saved us valuable recovery time and my kid was back on the ice quickly.4. Patient needs. I hurt my back a week before a major hunting trip that involved backpacking in the mountains. I called their office and they fit me in, even though I knew they were already very busy. I was in a lot of pain and very concerned that I would not be able to go on this trip. Kara had me adjusted quickly, the pain was subdued and I felt a lot better about the trip. They understand every patient and situation is different and they made time for me.Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time shopping around talking to chiropractors who dont have the knowledge or logistics to treat you. Call them and get healthy. Its easy.

I was always afraid of chiropractors. Id gone to one once in another state and was injured when my back was cracked. I had a partial laminectomy 35 years ago that was flaring up. I tried physical therapy without results. Some days were better than others but about 18 months ago I found it worsening and I was experiencing more bad days than good days. Pain at night was the worst. I couldnt get comfortable and wasnt sleeping. My physician gave me three options. I could wait and see (Id already waited 18 months), I could take prescription pain pills,or I could get injections. None of these were a permanent solution that I felt comfortable with. Thats when I decided to try the Chiropractic Health Center and Drs Greg and Kara McGillivary. They spent more time with me in my first visit than my physician had spent with me in 3 years. I finally knew why I was experiencing the pain and had hope that this could be resolved. All I can say is I wish I wouldnt have waited to see them. I no longer wake up in pain during the night and the pain Id had when bending, getting up, sneezing and countless other things is GONE!!! I had gotten so accustomed to having pain that I forgot what it was like to feel normal and it is a wonderful feeling. All of the staff were exceptional and welcoming.
