We have been here two times over the last couple years. This is one of our favorite campgrounds! The location is perfect, close to Duluth but far enough out so you can avoid the traffic. The adventure park is fun for the whole family! The washhouses have seen better days but they are always kept clean!

Absoloutely loved this campground!Love the trails (clearly marked along the way, but wish there was a map out front). The surrounding flora & fauna, cleanliness, serenity, privacy, ease & proximity of location, all of its fabulous! We checked in after the office was closed and it was easy peasy. As mentioned in other reviews, the water pressure is extreme, make sure you check your camper for leaks (we’ve never had this problem). But wasn’t a big deal, a little inconvenient, and glad we caught it. Also, site 15 has a poorly placed water hookup. These two are the only somewhat negative things, but we will definitely stay here again!

Great camping spot for Duluth. A-C are done nicer spots, beautiful area, though they are smaller plots. Shower house could be better, its just an old building. Youre also only about 25 min away from anything.

I’d give it a 5 if the showers were warm and the water pressure is crazy not in a good way. But we love staying here. The location is great. Very scenic. Quiet also. Pet friendly. Adjacent to trails.

A great option to stay when you are visiting the Duluth area. It is a casual, low key experience, with the Adventure park across the road.

This campground has alot of potential, very nice place , sites are rocky and unlevel, showers are like a cold pressure washer , if they spent alittle time on each site and the showers they would have the best campground around

This is a great campsite near Spirit Mountain. It has a typical showering facility and bathrooms. There is a lot of access to hiking and biking trails. I was able to park my small RV without an issue and saw many larger RVs and trailers though it takes some talent to park them (it appears).

Nice campsites and some even had a great view. This place has an adventure Park with a mountain side roller ride, plus the ski lift was available for an even more scenic view. If you plan to arrive after hours without a reservation, they list the available sites for you to drive around and check out. We had to drive out to find firewood since you can only purchase a bundle within the adventure Park, closes early.

The campground and facilities were very nice and clean. Pretty private sites, not crammed in like an RV park. We had a great time, kids had fun exploring in the woods. The activities seemed a little high priced unless you were going to buy a day pass and only do that.

The best Campground. I go here every year for 4 days. The camp sites are always clean. The fire pits are also always cleaned out. The maintain the grounds with trimming nature instead of destroying it. Each site seems to have an electric outlet. They have a bathroom and shower stalls, separated by Male and Female. They have water spouts stationed throughout the grounds. The have assigned areas for reservation for tents or RVs depending on your camping style. They also have a walk in camp spot. To pitch a tent and good to go.

Solo Tent camped in walk-in site C. It was a blast! Im originally from Duluth and love to go camping every summer and this was my only chance to get outdoors and still save some cash by staying local. I had a few friends stop by for beers and a campfire, heated up some chili with my mom on one of the days, and made a few steaks for dinner, one over open fire with hot coals, and another in a cast iron skillet on my cooking stove. The weather was alright, Monday night was 51° with wind, and it rained a little on Tuesday and Wednesday but both days it stopped raining a little after 1pm. Thursday was upper 70s with sunshine and back to 50s with fog Friday morning. Overall it was a great camping trip!During camping I dont expect the camp bathrooms to be perfect or even 80% clean because well youre camping, so Im not gonna complain but I will say the showers do need some improvement and the bathrooms were pretty dirty (sinks and toilets looked as if they havent been cleaned in over a week, and floor looked as if it hasnt been swept or mopped all summer) but besides that everything was great. I definitely recommend this campground!

Decent campground, a little pricey. Bathrooms are disgusting and are that way every time I visit. Wish there were other options so close to Duluth. Please, please upgrade or at least clean your bathrooms. You get $40 a night per site, the least you could do is keep them clean.

APPARENTLY NOT KID OR SMALL FAMILY GET TOGETHER FRIENDLY.-Sites are way too close together. Had a terrible experience here and was even harrased by 2 other nearby campers, TWO SEPERATE TIMES, who would not leave us alone at our site and continued to be rude and yell at us with all our children around. We were minding our own business and kept to ourselves the entire time. The two campers felt we were rude for showing up past midnight trying to get our stuff together and set up. We finished setting up and made super late dinner for our children who were hungry and just finished a 5 hour, no stop, roadtrip. The first camper who showed up to tell us that we were being too loud was very rude to us, but we felt we were in the wrong and complied because it definitely was past quiet hours. We respected their confrontation, even if it came off rude. We quickly and quietly ate and all went to bed about 10 minutes after the confrontation. The white woman who is 61 years old (her own wording) told us off and was super disrespectful to us and our children. She came to yell at us to be quiet on our second day and even threatened to call the cops on us if we did not. It was only 7pm and we were cooking dinner for our children. Our children were playing, was that so terribly wrong?? Mind you, quiet hours dont begin until 10pm. She felt so privileged to tell us to be quiet at 7pm as we were just having family bonding time and making dinner. When she began to start getting verbally agressive, we asked her to leave our site as we did not feel comfortable with her on our site with all our children (all under age 9) around. She was even more verbally aggressive and triggered us to become verbally defensive back to her and yelled back at her because of her disrespect. She would not leave our site and continued the harrassment confrontation for another 5 minutes. They reported us the first day to the office already for apparently being too loud when we showed up past midnight to our site, we were warned by the office already. I believe that was more than enough, but they didnt feel it was enough and confronted (more like harrassed) us another 2x when we were minding our own damn business and were at a respectively loudness at 7pm BEFORE quiet hours even began. There was even another site right next to us who was thumping loud music, in the middle of the night and all day during the day of 2nd confrontation/harrasment, from their cars and camp site and it didnt seem to be be an issue whatsoever to anyone or them apparently. But i guess arriving late past quiet hours you cant make dinner or set up your site or even have your kids play together during the day because its disrespectful and rude and apparently too loud. We still own up to being too loud when we arrived though we felt we werent. We even complied and apologized when they came at us with rudeness. Terrible experience overall. Would not reccomend to anyone nor return again. EVER.Also, the campground map on the website has an address which we thought and assumed was the campground address since there was no other address listed. We followed our gps to the address listed and it wasnt even the campgrounds! It looked like it was the ski area, which was 11 minutes away from the campgrounds. We were lost for a good 1 to 2 hours until we used google satelite to locate the campground and found the campground ourselves.
