My daughter has been at Sunny Day since she was 12 weeks old (3 1/2 years now) and she loves it! The cost of tuition is comparable or lower than a lot of the schools in the area and we like that snacks and lunch are provided every day! Its a safe and clean environment and I love that my girl is learning so much and getting plenty of physical activity throughout the day. The staff are all very kind and flexible. Its a great place!

We have been with Sunny Day for a year now and we love everyone there! Our little girl reaches for the teachers every time we drop her off and it makes me feel so good to know that she enjoys her time there each day. One of my favorite parts about sunny day is the muscle room they have (indoor playground area). I like the fact that she can play and get some energy out even when the weather is bad. I highly recommend Sunny Day Academy in Dublin!

We love Sunny Day! I have two children one who started at 6 weeks old and is now 6 years old. She has been in each and every class over the years and has loved every minute of it. From Infants through Summer Camp they plan activities that keep the children engaged and enriched.I currently have a toddler at the program. His teachers are incredible and so driven. The teachers take multiple pictures of him throughout the day so I get to see what he is learning and I get a glimpse of how he interacts during the day. He gets so excited about going to school to see his friends. The environment is creative, educational and so loving. I fell so blessed to have such a great school for my children.

My kids love going to Sunny Day! They are learning and having fun. It is such a relief knowing they are well cared for throughout the day. Even amidst the COVID crisis I have been really impressed by their investment in the kids activities and growth. Would highly recommend sunny day if you are looking for childcare in Dublin.

I put my daughter in a different daycare and she was there for one week because I was so unhappy with the service. I put her in Sunny Day the following week and she has been there for almost three years now and I am so happy with the service and teachers. I get compliments on how smart she is constantly. Very pleased.

I have sent both of my children to Sunny Day locations (first Powell, now Dublin), and have been so happy with them both. We have loved feeling of warmth and security that all of my son and daughters teachers have shown to my children, and have been so happy with how well they have prepared my son for kindergarten.

Sunny Day has been a great learning center for my 3 year old son and infant daughter. My son has thrived with the teachers who are caring and truly want your child to learn. They provide a classroom structure that has been helpful with the transition to preschool and is engaging. The infant teachers are great. They understand my daughters needs and are nurturing. We have been in both private and another childcare center and I am sincerely impressed with the staff and the school.

Sunny Day Academy is a wonderful facility that made returning to work after having my son a much easier transition. Its clear the teachers and staff truly care about each child. They provide structured learning that has helped my son develop into a smart, well-rounded toddler. I also appreciate the monthly bulletins they send home which outline what the children will be covering along with helpful developmental tips. It is a great way for my husband and I to be engaged in his day to day learning. We have had a very positive experience at SDA and will be sending our new baby there in a few months.

Sunny day has been great for our 3 and 1 year old. The staff has been receptive to our childrens individual needs and preferences, There has not been a lot of staff turnover and there are a lot of structured activities throughout the day, and in general my kids have been learning a lot. Most importantly, my kids are happy and excited to go to school each day

Please read carefully. One day I was called from work to pick up my child. He had a big gash on his forehead. About two inches. We went straight to the emergency room and got six stitches. It is inadmissible to let a child who just learns to walk to play on that type of play equipment. When I picked up my child, the owner mentioned this has happened before. What a consolation, I guess. I was later contacted from a erie insurance company who said will open an investigation. Never heard back from them, left numerous messages. I tried to talk with the director regarding the insurance company but she said she cant talk to the insurance company herself, theres nothing she can do. Very frustrating. When this incident happened, one teacher was sitting and chatting on the windowsill the whole time. Only got up way after the incident. I really hope that this doesnt happen to any other parent. This would not happen if Sunny Day Academy would offer age appropriate playgrounds. Please visit multiple daycare facilities and notice how toddler A playground is different than toddler B and how different playgrounds are from kindergarten children.

I have worked with Sara, the owner and founder, and other staff members at Sunny Day Academy for over a year. They are truly passionate about childcare and making sure both parents and children are happy with the environment, curriculum and teachers. The Dublin facility is one of a kind and beautiful (check out the photos!)- I highly recommend SDA if you are looking for a preschool or learning center in Dublin!

Weve been sending our toddler to Sunny Day Academy since she was 3 months old. As a new mom, it was difficult for me to send my baby to daycare and be apart from her. The staff at SDA was very supportive and understanding and they helped the transition go smoothly. There are lots of choices for daycare and we are happy with our decision to send our child to SDA. Shes growing up to be a very smart, social and well-adjusted toddler.

I visited SDA Dublin yesterday and thought that the physical layout and staff were great. My purpose there was as a vendor, to provide an in-school science field trip. Im very attuned to the dynamics of child care facilities. Im visiting dozens this summer alone! Anyway, the children seemed happy and the teachers were helpful and great to work with. My own kids are older school-agers so were no longer in the market, but I would feel quite comfortable sending them to SDA Dublin.

My son attended the preschool program at Sunny Day Academy (SDA) 3 days a week for 10 months (5/13-2/14). The physical facility is great and my son liked his teachers. He also has a food allergy & SDA did a good job in dealing with that. However, we withdrew him because SDA could not provide a safe learning environment. Our son was constantly being hurt by another aggressive child and the administration completely failed to respond to the situation. The first incident involved my son being bit in 3 locations by the aggressive child hard enough to leave marks that I noticed at bedtime. I called SDA the following day to alert them to the situation & to the best of my knowledge, no action was taken. The final straw was when the other child followed my son around in an indoor play area and repeatedly punched him in the back and the stomach. Video substantiated that the event was unprovoked and that this aggressive behavior occurred right in front of SDA staff with no intervention until my son was cornered and began crying. We met with the director the next morning to review the video and she assured us that the school would do something about this. When I picked my son up that afternoon, he had claw marks on the back of his neck from this same child. Needless to say, my husband and I were extremely upset.Over the next 2 days, we sent 3 detailed emails and 2 phone calls to the director who assured us something was being done. We requested 6 times (through emails & phone calls) to understand SDA’s plan for ensuring our son’s safety. We scheduled a meeting with the director first thing in the morning at the beginning of the next week, but the director no-showed. From Wednesday evening until the following Tuesday evening we did not receive any direct communication from SDA in regards to this situation. We had heard through different teachers that SDA planned to separate the children, but the details were unclear. The only written communication we received was after we unenrolled our son and informed SDA we would be writing a poor review. Within 2 hours, we received an email and a phone call from the president apologizing for the situation (1st apology). The email detailed the events of past 5 business days and all steps SDA had taken. Unfortunately, most of SDA’s actions could not be substantiated and it was difficult to determine if SDA was actually dealing with the situation or just providing lip service. (Example: On the 1st day, we requested a letter be sent to all preschool parents reviewing the hitting policy. SDA Action: 5 days later, they left a voicemail for the Education Coordinator to draft a letter.)In my opinion, SDA failed to provide a safe learning environment and did very little to correct a known child safety concern.

The daycare might be nice, but the bus drivers have road rage and probably shouldnt be transporting children........
