As family members, my two brothers and I have made the journey with our parents, beginning in 2013, through the Dublin Retirement Village Life Styles from independent, to assisted living, and when Dad passed away, Mom moved immediately to the Memory Care facility. The tailored care given at each of these stages of need was superb, the staff was caring and responsive to unforeseen incidents and continue to this day to work toward bettering the living areas as well as tailoring the care to better meet both collective and individual needs of the residents. We say, WELL DONE, MANY THANKS and KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Terrible experience. Weve asked the manager, Michelle, for living options again and again. Phone calls, emails, you name it. We even came in, but she was apparently busy with other things. Too bad, shes loosing a lot of clients! Special shout out to terrible service and ignored emails!

Best way to describe this community: Loving, upbeat, clean and comfortable.Clinical Care: nursing team has been very consistent over the past 14 months. Many nurses have been working with Dublin Retirement for 12+ months, some since the community opened. Very little turnover in nursing. Clinical team knows the residents and assignments well. The nurses work with a rounding Neurologist, OSU Primary Care Physician, 2 CNPs, psychiatry, and podiatry. The community partnerships offer (IN HOUSE ) PT/ OT/ Speech, Skilled Nurse Services, lab, X-Ray and efficient pharmacy services. Administrator is a true team player, you can find her helping on the floor, styling residents hair, assisting with scheduling, serving food or helping in activities.Programs: The best hidden secret! Delay the Disease, Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s, yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba Gold, Gardening, Painting, Crafting, Happy Hours and the list goes on. Residents are happy, cared for and loved at this community. Many residents consider the care givers family. I’ve been able to observe many other communities in the area, this community really does have a lot to offer. I would recommend this community for loved ones and potential employees. ☺️

This facility was responsible for my mothers severe decline during her Alzheimers. If I could give them a negative star I would. In 2016 we toured the facility, it was lovely and sunny and new. The staff was friendly and smiling and understanding. They made all kinds of promises about including my mother in activities, welcoming committees to help her make friends, outings, and limited caregivers so she wouldnt be confused by strangers. Sounds good.On September 28, 2016 Mama moved in. She passed their assessment for assisted living. They left her alone in her apartment, we found out later that sometimes she even missed meals. They allowed her to call me at night begging me to come get her instead of redirecting her. They were supposed to manage her hearing aids but many days she wouldnt have them- I would have to go to the nurse and TELL her where to look in the drug cart for Mamas hearing aids. Every time I went to visit she was sitting alone in her apartment. They didnt even help her work the remote! When I complained they were not honoring their commitment, they told me Mama was difficult and needed to be moved to the secured unit. They wanted us to move Mama to a room that shared a bathroom with someone else. Can you imagine an Alzheimers patient, advanced enough to be in a secure unit, being able to handle finding a stranger in her bathroom!?By the beginning of November 2016 when we moved my mama to Sunrise of Dublin, Mama could no longer tell you if she had children. When prompted she couldnt remember our names.I firmly believe Mamas decline was caused by the isolation she suffered. Dublin AL u0026 MS advertise well but they actually have no concept of what is required for memory care. They have no business taking care of fragile elderly family members. No one should have to go through what our family had to endure.

I had time to come in and visit Dublin Assisted Living and Memory Support before volunteering on Easter. I was so impressed with the community and the staff. The community is inviting, from the moment you walk in. It’s bright and open. The spaces are large but not overwhelming. I felt like I was in a five star hotel and the staff didn’t disappoint. They were friendly and kind. They introduced themselves and welcomed me. I then had the pleasure of returning on Easter to volunteer with my wife who works in the community. We had the pleasure of working along side the dining staff to provide Easter lunch to residents and their families. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to many more great memories being made at this community.

The Memory Support facility, PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!! My friend had to move her 93 year old Father with Alzheimer for lack of care for the last few years!! My friends concerns were never taken care of, miss communication from the Nurses, staff!! He had money stolen from his room several times, still in bed by Noon, the physical therapist would still find him in bed u0026 would have to get him dressed, also at times never made it for Meals!! When asked anyone responsible, everyone Clueless!! Just Neglect in my eyes!! My daughter also worked at the Memory Support for about one year. The turn over in staff, short on staff to patient ratio is low, u0026 housekeeping not up to par!! If I had the option to review with Negative Stars I would place that!!!

I rarely do business reviews but I am compelled to let others know about the disappointment I have experienced and poor care at this facility. It’s an extremely hard transition to move your parent or loved one in to a place that isn’t there home but I was “sold” on this facility that it would be like home. They start off by making promises that they should never even voice to someone going through this process. The marketing is very fake and needs classes on realistic ways to gain their residents. The move in process was chaotic and nobody seemed to know what was happening, including the nursing staff and DON. The housekeeping and upkeep at this facility has been atrocious to say the least. Activities? What activities??? This was one of the most important things for making the decision I made to chose Dublin Assisted Living and they have failed over and over again with engaging their residents in activities. They need meaningful activities and ways to get to know one another. The pictures they post are just pictures of the same few residents doing the same activities and they have a director and an assistant to work together with their activity department and the main director is clueless how to lead and engage that population. It breaks my heart to hear the way the staff interacts with their coworkers and I have even heard them speak poorly to some of the residents. Memory support staff should not be broadcasting any resident information becuase this is a major violation of Hippa. I will report what I hear. The nursing assistants are very unprofessional on this unit and have no supervision. They speak very openly and they are not trained for that special unit. They do have a couple of good employees but not as many as they need and the ones that are good, are not appreciated by their supervisors from what I have seen. They do so much for the people we love and care about and it shouldn’t be that way. I shouldn’t feel that I need to be there all of the time when I’m paying a lot of money for a roof over her head which is basically all she is receiving. The administrator is very inexperienced and I’m surprised that she is qualified to run this type of business or any business for that matter. I have complained and spoken with her multiple times, only to be told “I will look into it” and “that shouldn’t happen”. I never see improvement so I stopped going to her because these things are happening and nobody is addressing them. They really need a new administrator or someone to step in on a higher level and start over. Please help these residents get the proper care they need and deserve. Please improve the activities and step it up for the sake of the residents in this building. They need activities and they need something to look forward to. They need better quality food and nutrition at this stage of their life. I wish I would have posted this sooner. I hope this helps.

Hello! I’m a new employee. I accepted the Assistant Director of Nursing position and I must say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The people here are very caring and committed to excellent care of their residents. I’m been a nurse for over 18 years now and this is the most pleasant place I’ve worked. I’m very disappointed with a review that was posted earlier by someone who was in my on boarding class. It was evident in the class that you weren’t a good fit for this place. You missed a great opportunity. Don’t let your anger and disappointment spread about this place and allow others to miss out on a great place to live and work! God blessed me with this job and I couldn’t be happier!

Two things I noted in the space of two days. 1)The DON looks frustrated about her job and is always super busy and will not return a single phone call within 3 weeks. 2) The place is extremely disorganised. There is no HR department and there is no kind of accountability. Anybody available can run an interview. An STNA is assigned to conduct interview for Nurses, act as receptionist and fill in on the floor as help because of short staffing. My experience however streams from two things. The fact that newly hired are are not paid for orientation. Ms Jen orientation is sitting for more than 4 hours and filing paperwork, signing papers on company procedure.More so, the current administrator is more of a person who likes robot workers than people with actual feelings . You cannot look a certain way or have a flat affect in front of her, you are supposed to understand her and she has to dismiss your concerns on arrival in the guise of this is a work state.... Dion as an administrator for provider service had no time to appreciate those who worked was stringent and prejudice. At every twist and turn she will ask why you looking at her . Run from this facility. They will work you without adequate pay . RUN.

I have worked at Dublin Assisted Living and Memory Care since December and I am so amazed at how welcoming the community has been to me. The management team is always there to help in a split second. The residents are so involved and contribute to make this community a 5 star place. We cant forget Murphy--the dog amazes me--he loves the camera--I think he is in any picture ever taken at the community. Senior Star thanks for allowing me to be apart of the Dublin Assisted Living and Memory Care Community!!!

This place has the worst nurses any facility can have. They are very lazy and I don’t know how many of them received their licenses. And nurses there lie on co workers. Not a very organized place to have worked. And upper management is ridiculous.and now they have a worst D.O.N if they only knew how J.C., actually was when she was a nurse on the floor. That lady would leave while on the clock to go to kids game. How do I know this cause she asked me to text her if anyone was looking or was paging her. Smh.

I have family here and am continually disappointed with the cost vs services provided. For Independent Living you’re looking at around 5000 a month. This includes a mediocre dinner a day. It also includes a snack room with coffee and a few snacks.Surprised that the only other included thing is room “cleaning”. Which is a one time a week sweeping (no moving anything just sweep around it). They also remove trash one time a week. They appear to keep residents fairly engaged but it’s inconsistent and my understanding is that it’s somewhat repetitive. The grounds are nice but the building feels dated. The walking trails behind the building are a saving Grace. Plenty of open air space for a walk.Overall. Overpriced mediocre Senior care with a charismatic director who somehow keeps many of the residents happy enough to stay.

Mom lives here. Nice place, people. Food is worse than average but you dont need to cook it. The big difference here is the rooms dont have microwaves but do have stoves! Clearly built decades ago, but well maintained. In a Park setting, but few residents are able enough to enjoy it. .

Through the Covid pandemic, community and social engagement has been so important. Hats off to the staff at Dublin retirement village. Not only do they provide excellent care but also a strong sense of community. There are so many senior living places to choose from that have really nice buildings and Starbucks in the lobby but when it comes to service and mental care of your loved one, this is the place to choose. Every one of the staff here operates on such a high level from the executive director on down. It’s no wonder that the residents there don’t ever think about moving because of the friends that they have made and the engagement they’ve had with both each other and staff. Hats off to you Senior Star for doing such a great job!P.S. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how good the food is here!

I am part of the Dublin Shamrockettes dance troupe and we danced there this week. We were well welcomed with very professional staff, fed an excellent meal, and had a large resident turnout. We talk with the attendees afterward and they appeared to love the facility. We are looking forward to returning and would consider it as a future home.
