I came in for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy and every person I dealt with from the receptionist through the post-op nurses were wonderful. They really took their time to look after me and make sure I was comfortable and happy even when I was feeling terrible after the surgery. Everyone that approached me was professional and courteous and made my experience as enjoyable as it could have possibly been.

My experience was with the front desk checking in my husband for his surgery and the recovery room afterwards. The front desk receptionist was friendly and proficient. The recovery room nurse we had was exceptional. Tammy was an expert at taking care of my husband in the recovery room. She knew what to do in every circumstance. We couldntg ask for anyone better in caring for the nauseated patient. We were in recovery for 2+ hours so my husband was clear headed enough to go home. Tammy was right there for every minute of it. Friendly, experienced, concerned, great at explaining everything, there arent enough words to express how good she is.

I was very impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff as I went through my procedure. The flow of everything went very well, and everyone did a great job of introducing themselves and what their role was, explaining what would happen to make me feel comfortable, and then executing what they said. I also appreciated the follow-up call to make sure that I was feeling good post-procedure.

I had a wonderful experience at Lone Peak Surgery Center. The facility is beautiful and the staff could not have been better. Jill and Wendy (RNs) were fantastic. They were kind, always making sure I was comfortable and did a great job. I would highly recommend it.

Dr. Winterton and the surgical staff were beyond amazing. I can only give 4 stars because the billing office was HORRIBLE to work with. When trying to talk to the billing representative, she was rude and asked me if I was trying to make money on the situation??! I had been promise a percentage off my portion after insurance for paying in full. This representative should not be working in customer service. It was resolved after I spoke to a supervisor, who backed up the rude representative instead of apologizing. I hope I never have to deal with this billing office again. I have worked in medical billing for years and I would never tried these dishonest stunts.

I was treated well at this facility. The facility was clean, my surgery for kidney stones was pretty much right on time (they had problems starting an IV on me and it took 8 tries to get it in, however I am a really hard stick). Everyone was very professional and kind. The only thing that bugged me was that I saw my insurance had been billed $22,000 for just the fee for the facility. I haven’t received the bill, but obviously my insurance has received it. I only spent 3-4 hours there in total counting my checkin time. The hospital accepted my insurance contracted price for $4000, which was great for me. The rest was written off. I am wondering about those that dont have insurance. Would they pay the $22,000? My portion of the surgery was about $900 which I had to pay the morning of the surgery, either with a cashiers check or with a credit card. What if I didnt have insurance? Would the amount be $22,000? I am concerned about those with very high deductibles or no insurance. If you are in this circumstance, you might want to shop around for a cheaper location to have surgery.

The surgical staff was wonderful. Their billing staff on the other hand needs to be fired. After paying thousands of dollars, I was hounded by the in-house collection staff for another $125.00. I paid it and was subsequently called again. I had to send in a copy of my receipt to show that I had, in fact, paid the bill. Then 2 months later, some snippy gal from Express Recovery calls and wants me to pay the bill for the 3rd time. Idiots!

What a beautiful system and facility!!!!! As a surgeon that has worked in, helped create, and performed many dental surgeries in Georgia, Texas, California, Wyoming and Utah, I have worked in many ORs. The Lone Peak surgical center is definitely one of the most state of the art, best equipped, safest places to have a surgical procedure that requires general or IV conscious sedation. Dan and his highly professional team bring the surgical arts to the next level of expertise and proficiency. Thank you for developing this wonderful facility. You are a credit to our local community, to Utah, and beyond. As one that uses places like this to help very precious people that I love, my patients, I applaud your bringing this facility to fruition.David S Peterson, DDS, FAGD, AAIOMT, FICOI, Misch Fellow
