They were a nightmare to work with. Bait and switch, lying about loan approvals until the system was installed, and they never got the wireless component actually working. But I had working solar at the end of it. Turns out I didnt for long. The inverter just went out, since theyre bankrupt, I contacted another company to fix it. Apparently they either lied to the manufacturer saying the inverter that was installed on my house was faulty and got another unit which they then installed on another house, or they installed a known faulty inverter on my home. Either way, the manufacturers warranty has been used by this completely reprehensible company and Im stuck with a $3,000 bill to get the system working again.I know theyre out of business but I need this information to be publicly available in hopes that maybe someone else can learn something about my experience?

The people that work with power solar are awesome to work with! They are up front and honest about what they are selling. I have not had any problems with the solar panels that were installed. Their work is nice and tight. Any time I have had a question power has always been willing to answer them, with out hesitation. I would have no problem recommending these guys.plus what they are selling makes sense.

Brigg Barron knows the solar market. I love that he has no hesitation to answer questions about other solar companies. This allows the ability to compare. For me it is very assuring to know about the production guarantee. If the estimate in savings that is quoted to me does not work out, they will pay me back the difference You get the customization, attention, and service of a local company with the resources of the countries largest dedicated solar network.

Amazing customer service. Had a system installed a few years ago by a fly-by-night company and recently discovered that Powerco now managed my account. I had a longstanding issue with my system which they fixed prompgly and free of charge. Would recommend them without reservation.

PowerCo Solar is bankrupt and never paid their subcontractors. Im now in talks with a lawyer because they couldnt pay for the materials for the solar panels they installed.I called the alleged CEO of the company (Cody Cole) and he lied to me said powerco is not bankrupt and they have sales guys out there right now and that he would the legal issues. Nothing has happened regarding the legal trouble and now the company that would support our solar panels is gone.

Below is a portion of the letter sent to PowerCo in March of 2019. The letter outlines all of the issues we have experienced with the company. What it does not describe is the fact that PowerCo did not pay their subcontracted company, resulting in a mechanics lien on our home because of PowerCos failure to pay. I have also involved our finance company, who is now aware of PowerCos poor business practices. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, who was not able to get any response from the company. I just finished filing complaints with both the Idaho and Utah Attorney Generals. As a consumer who has taken all of the right steps to uphold my part of the contract, the fact that I now have a lien against my home is unfair, especially since the circumstances are totally out of my control. I have been attempting to contact PowerCo and received responses from one of their representatives. They make it sound like things will be taken care of, but no action has taken place to remedy the situation. My attempts to contact them and get them to fix the problem continue to this day.1. Why is there such an absence of communication...and no, its not by accident or oversight. The PowerCo representatives that I have been in contact with are actively ignoring my calls, texts, and emails. Throughout the whole process there have been a few sporadic text messages, yet there were not any calls or emails to clarify the process, provide updates, or set up appointments. All of the reviews I read online (previous to last year) have been positive for PowerCo. I dont understand why this has not been our experience if PowerCo is professional and easy to work with. NOPE.2. Excuses: so-and-so is out of town, family issues, restructuring the company, so-and-so is no longer employed with PowerCo... So then, who is going to step up and do the right thing? When Shelly left, what happened to our business? Isnt there some kind of protocol in place forwhen someone leaves the company?3. Do you actually have a customer service number or email that exists/works?4. When will we be receiving the $700 gift card that we were promised? Originally it was $400 upon signing (refer to text message from Shelly). Elijah raised the amount to $700 after admitting that someone dropped the ball.5. Where is the invoice I have been requesting and why has there been ZERO follow-up?...Hector and I would like to clearly express how disappointed we are in how our business has been and continues to be handled by PowerCo Solar. The reason for this unprofessional conduct is not clear to us, though we suspect it is because PowerCo is highly aware of the fact that they have not followed through on our agreement about the gift card and there is just a general lack of concern for their clients (or perhaps just us). This is evident from the unanswered calls, texts, and emails. What we have been led to believe is that the company is completely unorganized, short-handed, or just plain incompetent. This observation is based both on our personal experience with the lack of communication and the inability to contact PowerCo through the contact information on the website. . I am bewildered that a business would treat their clients in this manner. We are paying over $20,000 for the solar panel system that has been installed. For most people, his is no small commitment, and PowerCo clients should be treated with significantly more respect.
