My Dentist was out of town so I had to go to a new place since I was in pain. I went to Merit Dental. My new Dentist is the kindest, gentle, professional Dentist IN THE WORLD. When he gave me shots I couldn’t feel them. This was my experience. Jaimie is the nicest lady in town! Everyone there is professional, CARE and do everything they can to make your experience good. I was going to a rather large dental “chain” that had many locations in the valley. It served my needs but the thing that really annoyed me was that they had a lot of turn over in staff, everyone from the dentists to the assistant’s. I hardly ever had the same person more than twice before they either transferred to another location or left for another reason.NOT SO with Merit Dental! It’s privately owned so the dentist and staff are the same each time I visit. I feel very comfortable and confident with the dentists and the staff as I get a chance to become familiar with them. There might be a little turn over, sure , but it’s nothing like the places I’ve experienced in the past.So, knowing that I have the same friendly, competent people working on my choppers every time gives me a good feeling. And it helps me relax a bit more when I’m in “the chair” because I really get anxious in any dentist office. Having some familiar faces to see each time makes it that much easier to attend my appointments.Great staff, friendly customer service, consistency- love it!Keep smiling,Jarrett

My reason for finding another dentist in the area was because for the past several years my family has been disappointed in the dental chain we had been using. I needed a new crown and decided to give Merit Dental a try after I reviewed their office online. It looked clean, I liked the location, and I was impressed with Dr DeLoach’s bio. It all lived up to my highest expectations and then some. Dr DeLoach is friendly, meticulous and professional, the hygienists are gentle and thorough, and the front desk is friendly and worked well with my insurance company. My two boys have gone there recently after a few years of avoiding a dentist altogether, and both were very pleased with their experiences. My husband has an appointment coming up soon. If you are reading reviews because you are looking for a new dentist, as I was, I highly recommend you give Merit Dental a try. They are a great fit for our family!

I chipped my front tooth and couldnt find a dentist that excepted my insurance finally I found Merit and they were able to fix my chipped tooth same day, got all my x rays done, super gentle and kind! I was so shocked how kind the entire team was, from the receptionist to the doctors and assistants I mean everyone was so kind! Ill definitely be going back, also they gift you a comfortable blanket and cute chapsticks.

The staff was great, answered all of my questions and clarified about the specific care that I needed. They made dealing with my insurance super simple, and offered a really clear treatment plan. There’s no doubt I’ll be going back.

So glad I found this dentist! I had an issue with a tooth that another dentist missed, and when it turned into a dental emergency Merit Dental was able to get me in on the same day. This office has that hometown dentist feel and they were so nice and friendly. They also took the time to clearly explain my options. I also overheard the dentist giving a consultation in the other room and recommended a less expensive and invasive option to their dental problem then recommended elsewhere. Will definitely be a loyal customer after this experience. Oh, and the root canal here was less painful than a typical cavity. What more could you ask for? Oh yah, a really sweet welcome gift was just icing on the cake!

Dr. Deloach and his assistant were both outstanding. I went in as a new patient with severe pain after I had just cracked my tooth and they were able to schedule me the same day even though it was already the end of the business day! Front reception Jamie was so helpful in explaining the procedures and costs. Most dentists almost ALWAYS order a root canal but Dr.Deloach stressed that he’s about saving what’s there and opted me for another procedure without the pain and trauma of a root canal. This office really goes above and beyond to keep you comfortable, informed and treated properly. Plus, the welcome gift at the end of my visit was the absolute sweetest gesture!!!! Most definitely will make this my routine dental office

I can easily say Merit Dental in Draper is a caring, quality, family oriented and honest office. The office staff was so happy and helpful. They did quality dentistry and had affordable fees. The dentists dhow you pictures of your teeth and educate you on what issues you might have, what your options are and how best to get to the goals you have for your dental health. They have payment plans that fit every budget and convenient hours of service. I would highly recommend this dental office to everyone looking for a dentist near them.

I had a wonderful experience at the dentist this week, I know that is not often the case as it seems we all dislike going to the dentist.I went only for my regular checkup, but after my most excellent cleaning and exam, Dr. DeLoach offered to handle a few non evasive fillings right then. I took him up on that and I am happy to say it was relatively painless, quick, and I actually enjoyed my visit even with a numb face.Thank you to Dr. DeLoach and the most excellent staff at Merit, I was very pleased with my experience and highly recommend Merit Dental Thanks again. Hadnt been to the dentist in years. I had a very comfortable experience and feel confident about the plan that was created to get my teeth back in shape. I learned a lot and am thankful for the staff at Merit Dental!

Do not go here. They are either not trained enough or thieves. I was told my son needed 8 cavities filled with a price tag of $1100. I decided to get a second opinion and not one cavity just small incipient lesions housed within the enamel. The sad thing is they new I am a widowed and a single mom.

Dr. DeLoach addressed and took care of the issue l was having with my implants. He always handles my visit like I am his only patient even though it is obvious I am not. This very rare in todays medical experiences.

I am new to the area and a recent college graduate, that made me put my dental health to the side for quite a time.When I went in the ladies at the front desk, helped me get all the paperwork squared away and made it very easy.Then the dental aide and hygienist helped me get my x-rays and teeth cleaned. While explaining to me what all was being done and why which helped ease any concerns I had.Dr. DeLoach was very kind and patient while explaining the course of action for my treatment. He was amazing and helped me feel comfortable in the office and in his care.

I’ve been to Merit dental twice. The first time they were very nice and attentive. The second time it was a complete 360. I live in Tooele, one hour away from this location. I didn’t mind driving because they were amazing the first time I went. I was running about five minutes late and as I’m getting to the location I get a call from the receptionist saying that I needed to reschedule because I was 5 minutes late to a 20 minute appointment. Wow!!! It’s frustrating when you’re rushing and driving ONE hour away for a 20 to 30 min filling. I ended up calling them back because I was not going to drive back home without getting the fill I had schedule. After everything the receptionist finally says that’s it’s okay to come in. As I walked in, no one greeted me, I felt like I was a inconvenience. I will take my business else where. Closer to home and a place that will understand that things happen and not make me feel unappreciated. Definitely not going back to this place.

First of all Dr. Joey Dutson is no longer here. It’s now Dr. Dustin DeLouch. He is quite the opposite and the office has turned toward the negative.Why do you offer new clients cleanings and exams for $70 and the same service is $270 for existing clients? Something seems backwards here. When I confronted the office about this bait and switch tactic they use, I was offered a refund. A week later no refund. So I am posting this review. I’ve had a lot of work done here and expressed that it has been unsatisfactory. I was told to purchase more treatments and they will fix it when I have more work done on other teeth. ?? They only care about money here.Go somewhere else. This office is so far dated on the technology and services they offer.

Super clean, and professional office. I love the staff, they’ve been so sweet! I have social anxiety and going there they always are so commentating, and understanding. They really remember you as individual verses just another mouth to clean.I love this place!

Careful. On the outside, this looks like a great facility.On the inside, this business is cut throat. They dont care about you. All they want is your money.Ive had consistent problems with the staff here. My issues have ranged from them not telling me I was about participate in a $500 procedure that was completely optional, to them losing a long term payment agreement we made months ago, sending my account into collections.I understand that businesses need to make money. Theres a healthy way to do it and theres a shady way to do it. This company chooses the latter.

Awhile back my dentist of many years retired, and since then I have been trying to find an office I could relate to, who would recognize my needs with experience, compassion and caring. I found these qualities and more with Doctor Dutson and his staff at the Draper Merit Dental Office. Five Stars, for sure!

Dr. DeLoach is the best! So attentive and helpful with all of my teeth needs. Currently doing Invisalign and using a retainer and he sees me every two weeks to make sure it is going as planned!

I was not impressed with my two experiences at Apex last year.I was asked to give them information about what parts of an appointment would be most important to me, which I found a bit strange and made the appointment take longer than necessary. I thought perhaps this would contribute to a more personalized experience, though.Instead, after reviewing my preferences and listening to me explain that not dental appointments specifically but all appointments make me nervous, the hygienist decided the best approach was to take a scare tactic with me because I hadnt been to the dentist in so long. She seemed irritated that I didnt have any major problems, kept bringing up how long it had been between visits, and seemed happy that I had some minor gum disease. She also recommended procedures that seemed unnecessary, like having part of my tooth reshaped to prevent further gum disease. I felt like this was a money grab. Simply changing the way I brush and using mouthwash has resolved the issue.Additionally, when I didnt schedule another appointment with Apex for the other work they had recommended, they called me constantly and left messages until I asked them to stop. I appreciate that they did stop calling; I also am not interested in dental services from a company that behaves like a telemarketing company.The work I did receive from Apex was fine. However, their overall approach is a massive turn-off for me, and I wont be back.

I went in for the first appointment of the day on Monday, May 13th, 2019. None of the staff knew where the dentist was. They said they have tried calling him but no one could get a hold of him. So I had to reschedule my appointment; however, I will not be going back. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a dentist that owns his/her own practice and dont waste your time with corporate dentistry.

Came because I had pain in a tooth when I bit down, ex-rayed it and told nothing wrong. Continued to have pain, went to another dentist, ex-rayed discovered I had a badly cracked tooth. Thank goodness I went to another dentist BUT it cost me a great deal of extra money, time and PAIN. I felt I received very POOR service and DENTAL EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE was lacking. I would give them a minus 5 if I could!!

The best thing about the team here is the value they bring to their customers. I had the opportunity to get to know the staff well because I had several things I needed to get taken care of, and getting to know them made the appointments very fun! Every time they were efficient and did their best to create a positive experience for me. There was one point were Dr. Browning looked at an X-ray and discovered I needed one less filling then planned. This not only saved me money, but also distilled faith in the values and intentions of the team as a whole. I have recommended a couple people so far to this location and there has only been a positive response.
