All of the staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk with. My doctor, Dr Dunn answered all of our questions explained our options and the way forward that he recommended for me.

It’s very scary to visit your oncologist for the first time. I felt immediately at ease when I met my Dr for the first time. I can’t say enough good things. They take plenty of time to explain and educate you on your case before planning for treatment. I left feeling confident I was at the right place.

Dr Mcallister is very impressive! I absolutely loved him!! He was very thorough and to the point. He was kind and very interested in helping diagnose even tho he felt my condition is above his expertise. He gave great recommendations and referrals and relayed them to my general physician as I was seen in his office. I would say he goes above and beyond for his patients and has an emotional connection with you to get you better!

My husband has been coming here for about 8 years. From the first time till the last visit, he has only had good experiences Everyone employed there treats us with unfailing politeness and compassion, beginning at the check-in desk to the check-out, and everyone in between. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel that they have as much time to spend as you need. We feel as though they are practically family. I recommend them to anyone I know who needs their services.

’ve never left a review before but I believe our experience with Dr McAllisters staff warrants one. I’m going to make a long story short or we’d be here all day with what we’ve gone through. My wife was just diagnosed with a triple negative cancer that is fast growing and invasive! We’re extremely new to this, our first experience. And we had no idea the seriousness of the whole situation! So to UAB We go to try and get her the best care possible! There they come up with a treatment plan. Now, we’re asked, where would you like to do your treatment? Dothan since we are from there of course. We don’t have a clue, our first time an all. So someone on the team thinks they remember a McAllister in Dothan supposed to be good. This was on a Wednesday. UAB sent their orders that very day and told us we would get a call from McAllisters office Thursday or Friday. Well we didn’t receive a call Thursday or Friday. So my wife calls them on Monday. You can’t get a human being on the phone so she left a message for someone to please call her back. We are in the very beginning stages of the process so at this point we don’t even know the extent of what we’re dealing with!! We’ve got bone scans ct scans the whole bit. And if you’ve ever been through anything like this, you know how gut wrenching the waits can be! You just want answers. You want someone that will answer your questions at your most vulnerable moments. Well needless to say. We never got a call back Monday either! We had a really hard time trying to reason why someone wouldn’t call us?? Anyone?? My wife needed to start treatment yesterday and these clowns won’t even communicate with us! On Tuesday Wife calls back to Birmingham and their nurse has to call McAllisters office again to see what’s going on. Wife couldn’t get anyone on the phone Tuesday morning either. Then and only then several days after they told us they’d call, someone calls my wife and says sorry our new patient coordinator was out yesterday. Well where was she Thursday and Friday?? When they told UAB we’d be getting a call. They may be good at what they do. I have no idea? Because they finally called back and said they’d work her in in another week! GTFOH!!!! What I’m hearing is you’re having a hard time fitting us into your schedule! It would be one thing if the people of this office didn’t understand what we’re dealing with, but it’s what they do! They know exactly how traumatizing this experience can be! And you’re going to put us off? Really? I don’t think so. We’ll be making the trip to Birmingham every week! If you’re looking for no compassion, no communication, avoidance, and not wanting any questions answered, this is the place for you! McAllister you probably know nothing of this occurrence, but now you do! And if you did know about it, shame on you! Don’t worry about working us in! I still can’t believe you gonna work us in! You funny

I went in for lab work and usually no matter where I go nurses have a hard time finding a vein to draw blood from but this nurse, sorry I terrible with names but this nurse asked me did I have any good veins I said no and I we laughed but I told her to try my left hand and she did she wiped with alcohol several times and patted until a small one popped she got it on the first stick. I congratulated her on a great Job and I didnt feel a thing. I would like to thank her again 😊

From the time I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile, even under their masks. It eased my nervousness. When my name was called I again was greeted with more smiling faces and positive attitudes. Before I took my seat in the exam room, the NP was right behind me ready to discuss my latest test results. The staff of assistants and nurses are highly skilled, dedicated and caring professionals and are always available to answer questions and address concerns. In my opinion the Doctors cant be beat; theyre the best! They are highly professional and up too date on all the latest treatments and clinical studies. I would, and I have, recommended Dothan Hematology & Oncology to many of my friends. Theyre the absolute best and theyre local!

I had a bone marrow biopsy. It was painful for a few minutes, however the two ladies were so sweet and kind as well as professional. They really went out of their way to keep me focused and comfortable. In leaving the room I felt like I’ve made new friends.

I absolutely feel sorry for anyone that has Scott McCallister as their doctor. In the beginning, we were all impressed with him. He portrayed himself as a good hometown country boy who loved the Lord and loved helping his patients. He even prayed with us. We only saw him a couple of times in 2 years and then we were thrown to the nurse practitioners. In the end, we desperately needed Dr. McCallister to help my mother and I to make the best decision for my Daddy. He wasn’t there. He was on call but never answered his pages or calls. He miraculously appeared a few minutes after Daddy passed. The Hospitalist who had never laid eyes on us showed more compassion than Dr. McAllister ever had. We’re grateful for the ones that helped us but we are hurt and saddened by Dr. Scott McCallister. Don’t let his friendly, caring demeanor fool you. It’s all a front. Choose your doctor wisely.

I was there for lab appt. Wait was not long at all, the tech was professional and did her job well. Was done in less than 30 mlin.
