With a reserved tent site for the Tuesday night of July 3rd, we rolled in after 9pm and saw that management had a personalized map taped to the check-in door for us. The map directed us to tent site T-19. Following the clearly defined map, we were directed to an absolutely gorgeous tent site! The site was grassy, roomy and located on the Beaverhead River [ which is really stream-sized.] We fell asleep to the sounds of burbling water. Very pleasant. Our site had a red painted wood picnic table and a fire pit. Though located next to the stream sized river, I only saw one tiny mosquito at 9am the next morning and he was quickly dispatched—sorry little guy, it was you or me. The only downside to the location was that I heard a train whistle at 5:30am. My wife didn’t hear it so maybe I am a lite-sleeper.We didn’t use the heated pool but it looked nice and clean and could see steam coming off it in the morning light. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. There is also a store but never made it inside. It looked full the night we arrived and would recommend reservations but they do have a large meadow for overflow. This KOA has a lot of love and care poured in to it, would definitely come back again.

Looks like a nice KOA.My only issue is no one is here to greet you.Our spot is nice and big so we can stay hooked up.It is nice to see gravel in our parking space so there is no mud to walk in.We went to do laundry and one machine is broken, one is full of dirty clothes and that just leaves one to use.

Our scout group had complications on our cross-state trip and ended up unexpectedly in Dillon at 11:30 at night with a crew of 9 cars and 50 people. The KOA was quick to accommodate us even last minute and negotiated a reasonable rate too. We are very grateful for all that they did.

You know what I love about this place? The staff is friendly, the campground is really clean and we have some fond memories from all the times we have stayed. We have come down multiple times for Ratpod and they are so gracious to everyone and it is such a great place to stay. With the river near, you can fish, just beware of mosquitoes. We will definitely come back.

This is the most hospitable and wonderful experience weve had at a KOA. Our hosts Bob and Pam were such kind and accommodating people. We were passing through and they allowed us to use the dump and fill water for a nominal fee and then we ended up staying for several days. They were just wonderful. We will be back. Clean and well maintained grounds, clean facilities, great sites.

Very nice shady sites! Owners worked with me to fit me in another (busy) night after my plans changed! You dont always get that kind of friendly service. HUGE grassy dog park that my Lab loved to play in. And the river along the back side is very nice!Bathrooms are older but very clean. Enjoyed our 2 nights in Dillon!

Everything was perfect! Small but clean restroom and showers. The grounds are very well taken care of and it was so quiet. The owners and their employees made sure that everything met our expectations and were quick to help resolve any issue, but nothing serious (missing picnic table and a cable box problem). We will definitely be going back!!!

Dillon KOA is awesome. We stayed here 2 nights. Customer service was great! Tent sites were huge. They are next to the river which was peaceful to fall asleep to and easy to fish at. Staff helpful and friendly. When we ordered wood for the fire, they were quick to deliver. Bathrooms clean, adequate, and showers were always available when we needed them. Laundry available when needed. WiFi worked great which is a plus in today’s world! Only issue is the bugs.. haha... but that comes with the outdoors and near a river. Bring your Off spray! But in all seriousness, it is a great KOA.

I don’t know how people are rating this KOA a 4 star. The bathrooms are run down. Only 1 of 4 washing machines work. Cable is intermittent and internet is a joke. Not to mention directions and signage to get here is awful. Do not recommend nor will we stay here again

Rude customer service. Was told one price before we came, when we arrived I attempted to pay and the manager said he would catch me later. Owners came in town at the end of our stay and I was honest and said we hadnt paid. The price more than doubled what I was told originally. When I made that statement, I was told I could pay the lower amount and then get out. The showers are tiny and not accessible for a family with children or handicapped accessible, much less a average sized, capable human. The dog run was full of feces and never cleaned. I was happy to get out and go to a much cleaner, nicer campground down the road.

Let me begin on a positive note. The staff and grounds are lovely! Very friendly reception and service, and the grounds (grass, gravel, trees, etc) are all well maintained and clean. However, cleanliness and the pool cannot be used in the same sentence. As someone with significant knee issues, we always choose parks that have pools to allow for exercise and joint mobility work. We went to the pool this evening and observed the following: there were no steps at the shallow end - the only entrance to the pool was the ladder in the deep end, or the slide. I will point out that diving is not allowed. We also noticed a green hue but thought it must only be the colour of the pool itself so we did go in via the deep end ladder. To our horror, once in the pool we immediately saw that the green hue was due to the filth of the pool. This is not a matter of dirty spots, but a matter of the entire circumference of the pool being caked with grime - from the top of the wall to the bottom of the pool. Along with the grime, which in itself was bad enough, there was an unpleasant odour. As soon as we were in, we exited and headed for the showers.Any positive vibe we had on entering the park was stifled by the truly appalling condition of the pool. We would NOT recommend staying here.

Wonderful people who really tried to help. We were staying in West Yellowstone, and had planned to stay here. Due to smoke we had to leave a day early. Bob was helpful band even moved reservations around to be able to accommodate us a night early. By the time we got there so had the smoke and the asthma was bad. Once again helpful and understanding, as we canceled the three night stay. We will be back, the pool looked great and so did the pet accommodations. Cant wait for a return trip.

Lovely grounds and the camp hosts are friendly and accommodating. But mosquitoes are everywhere. We had to apply bug spray as we left our vehicle. We had to sit inside our tent in the evening to limit our bites. The view of the stars and the sound of the river was lovely as we fell asleep in the tent, but the incessant sound of mosquitoes hitting the exterior of the tent also contributed to the white noise of the evening.

My husband and I have friends in Dillon, but they have 2 daughters in a 2 bedroom home and we didnt want to take over their living room, so we camped at the KOA. The hotels in the area are way overpriced during the Beaverhead County Fair and PRCA Rodeo on Labor Day weekend. This is a very clean, well maintained campground. Lots of room in a tent site and a water spigot at each one, as well as a firepit. Easily could fit 2 large tents and 2 vehicles. The owners are in the main office every day and are super nice. Overall, aside from the temps dipping down quick at night (bring lots of warm blankets or sleeping bags!!) It was a very pleasant stay.

Hands down the worst KOA we’ve ever seen. The sites are extremely narrow and packed in tight. We came in after dark and there is absolutely no lighting anywhere other than short (3 feet tall) posts with a dim light bulb on them. We couldn’t tell the gravel driving areas from the grass. Once parked, we hooked everything up to our RV...the cable doesn’t work, the WiFi is so weak that we could connect, but couldn’t even get Google to load. Needless to say, we’d just as soon park on the side of the road for the night than stay at this KOA again.
