They do not work with you at all when it comes to your schedule. They only have one counselor. They don’t have good attitudes towards their people.

So let me get this straight, I understand you offer to mainly low income families. However, when I say I would like to set up an appointment to see someone about some issues Ive been dealing with, and after I give you my insurance information, you tell me that I dont have low income insurance and refuse to see me, thats absolute garbage. No apology, no referrals to other services, just We wont see you by the most indifferent, dead sounding intake agent you have.Your practice and its policies are disgraceful. You should be ashamed.

This place is absolutely horrible. I went to them seeking legitimate help in a time of need and their only answer was to start pumping me full of Zoloft with asking the bare minimum of questions about my feelings and circumstances in life, just assuming based from a small personality test that they could fix it with pills, and done it just long enough to get my body used to it then they cut me off saying that they couldnt give me more meds until I bring a new ID in. I did that and I m still fighting just to see someone

Im writing this in hopes that maybe a positive change can come from it. I have been treated at three different MHC locations since 2014 and the one located in Dickson has been the one with the worst quality of service. Now, I do not have an issue with the staff. Most of them were kind and really cared about their consumers but always seems to have their hands tied with what the company wanted them to do and the resources they were given.1. Access to therapy- I had been trying for well over 6 months to get in with a therapist on the regular and the majority of them were canceled due to issues retaining a therapist and only having one on staff for over 500 consumers.2. Access to medication- It was a constant issue to make sure that my medications got called in. The last straw happened in December of 2017. I had been seen twice and called every other day to ensure that my medications made it to the pharmacy before they ran out. I fought them for weeks to get my meds sent to the pharmacy with the assurance that they will be sent in. The pharmacy didnt receive a script from them for almost a month but by then it was too late to take them as prescribed. When you have a consumer taking medication on the regular it is advised to not pull them off abruptly due to side effects. Because of their poor practices I experienced severe withdrawal which endangered my life and have still not recovered from.Healthcare in America is in crisis when it absolutely should be the opposite. Finding access to good healthcare let alone good mental healthcare is a serious challenge. Until we are looked at as people instead of numbers I fear it will never change. My hopes for this review is to make voicing constructive criticism more common in hopes that something positive can come out of it in the future. Things can be much better.

It’s ALWAYS a struggle to keep my medication. They don’t even care that I have a job or family to support, they make me come into the office every month to continue to get the same medication they’ve had me on for years. I’d rather be off my medication (cold turkey, thanks to these guys) and just deal with the problems than continue to deal with this office.

I have been a consumer of MHC for about 17 yrs. In the last, I would say 5 yrs, the quality of care has gone down the toilet. The case managers are young and inexperienced. They tend to treat their consumers as if theyre stupid. Having mental health does not equal ignorance or stupidity.

I TOOK MY FRIEND TO HER APPT, LAST WEEK, SHE WAS THERE FOR 3 HOURS...THEN WE HAD TO LEAVE WITHOUT HER MEDS, BECAUSE I HAD TO BE SOMEWHERE ELSE..A WEEK LATER SHE CALLED THE COOP AND TOLD THEM I WOULD BE THERE IN A LITTLE BIT TO GET HER MEDS..GOT THERE SYILL HAD TO WAIT 30 MINUTES FOR HER MEDS AND THEY STILL DIDNT HAVE THEM READY, AND WHEN THEY DID GIVE THEM TO ME THEY ONLY HAD ENOUGH FOR TWO WEEKS, AND NOT EVEN THE FULL STRENGHTH THAT SHE IS ON... I DONT KNOW WHO IS RUNNING THIS OPERATION, BUT IT CLEARLY HAS A LOT OF ISSUES THAT NEED TO BE CORRECTED QUICKLY.....HER VISITS THERE R LONER AND LONGER EACH TIME I TAKE HER, AND ALL SHE DOES IS GET HER MEDS FROM THEM!!!

Worst medical facility I have seen in my 42 yrs!!! They forget to refile prescriptions with the pharmacy and dont care when your kid goes a week without necessary meds. I have been with them for 8 months and EVERY SINGLE MONTH I have to fight for medication for my child. They also do not have time for patients. One 30 minute therapy session once a month is useless and they will not allow more.
